Chapter 9: His pain

Life experiencesWords: 1279

A sad story it is

Family's support gone

Alone, struggling

His baby, gone forever

So it seems

Not able to see through the pain

Of losing her during his endeavors

An old lover's wrath

Hot as coils, a scorching fire

She won't give in

Her wall of anguish- won't extinguish

Red hot flames within

The flames grow higher

Hiding his daughter

Then, bounce off

Spreading like wildfire

Dancing in the hearts of others

The father and the daughter

Fires growing

Turning Mother to ashes- a burned up home

Empty casket

Where is the love?

The daughter grows without a father

Fire growing inside her

How can she rise above?

Her feeling of betrayal

Anger splitting, hearts ache

Questioning mother's love in the wake

Your Father will still be there

Always patient, never surrender

His fire is the same as hers

Mother's fuel, the ignitor

Love for his baby- the firefighter

His love is selfless, pure and kinder

In his presence, water flows

Shooting from the water hose

The fire is subsided

Black coals burning hot

Walking through ashes of grey

The love is not lost

Just seems far away

Stacking brick upon brick

The cement must be thick

To hold together a house anew

Daughter and father

Uniting together

Mother will follow suit
