Chapter 38: Damage

Life experiencesWords: 629

Like an old rusted tower

I fall apart

Moments lasting hours

I fall apart

A flower wilting in darkness

I fall apart

Train discarding the rail

I topple over

Metal screeching loudly

Continuing along the trail

Falling apart as I go

Pieces discarded here and there

Glass breaking shattered

I fall apart

Throwing me to the wolves

Selfish desires, truths hidden

I fall apart

Bruises blue, scratches swollen

Spit and blows

I fall apart

Under your house of lies

The damage has been done

Unbeknownst, beneath my nose

Falling apart

Then putting it together

Piece by piece

Out with the old!

Welcoming place of peace

Safe to create a new mold
