The boat floats slowly
Trapped inside a square frame
Will it sink or will it float
Will it land at the bay
People walk along the shore
They look out to the rolling waves
Toppling and curling over
Crashing against the vessel
Birds above minding their way
Filling their beaks one by one
Finding food atop the waves
Introspecting the water line
Diving deep for something to eat
A storm sitting in the horizon
Dark clouds creep onto the water line
Birds flying in many directions
Boat pulling- full flanks
The end prolonged or just beginning
A tiny girl in a yellow sun hat
The only brightness in the absence of light
Waiting at the shore
The sun pulling away- slipping further
The clouds consuming the fire
Sky now rid of life
Boat struggling to survive
The earth meets its maker
It's own atmosphere
