"Isn't she so sweet?" I asked Alex as we looked at our new born daughter who was smiling in her sleep.
"What should we name her?" Alex questioned touching her soft little feet and her tiny fingers.
I starred down at our little gift from God straight in the eyes and examined them carefully, trying to think of a name for such a beautiful little girl.
"Everly Jean." I finally spoke as I picked her up and hugged her closely and tightly to my chest.
Alex grabbed my hand as I sat her down in front of me and we watched our Everly open her eyes for the very first time.*
