Chapter 43: A Mess Jasmine's POV “ So what are we gonna do now?” I asked Erica, I know that they were busy last night, and they don't have enough sleep but this design and proposal is very important.

“ I was just wondering. I found something as usual.” The painting at my back wasn't in its proper arrangement near the drawer where we always placed our plans for our meeting.

“ What do you mean, Ma'am?” Kurt asked with a confused voice. Rhian even looked at me.

“ I do not want to say this, but someone is sabotaging us. I found my painting not in its proper arrangement. I’m also wondering how those files would be missing together with the files in Rhian’s laptop. Something's not right here,” I told them.

“ Does that mean there is someone in here trying to sabotage our plan?” Jacob uttered and looked at each of them.

“ I can't do that, I am loyal from the start” Kurt said, defending himself.

“ What is even more Interesting in that is the part where my camera didn't catch anything,” I added while looking at them.

“ I know I've been working here for just a year but I couldn't sabotage our work,” Erica said, trying to clear herself.

Even if they get the hard copy, if I have the file on my laptop, then we don't have any problem now, "Rhian said while looking down at the floor. I could even hear her voice, saying that she wanted to cry, but she was just forcing herself not to.

Everyone was silent, waiting for me to talk. I stared at them, if the perpetrator is not here then who it was?

“ Do we have other copies of CCTV outside the building?” I asked them Kurt placed his laptop on the table and tried to look for the video of last night outside the building.

I tried to rewind it but no one was outside that night. I was about to close the video when, at the end of the clip, I saw a man holding a garbage bag.

I rewind it many times, and he's leaving with that garbage bag, which, as far as I know, is not that heavy.

“ What is that man doing there in the middle of the night?” Erica pointed at the screen. That's also my question.

I also went to your office, ma'am, but I couldn't find the hard copies,” she said. I tried to zoom in on the man, but he was wearing a cap and facemask.

“That means that the man on that video is the one who did all of this?” Jacob said. While watching it, I left the place holding that garbage bag.

“ What is even more interesting with this man, when I checked the CCTV in our office, everything was normal. “ I told them and Rhian covered her mouth.

“ Which means that man was the one who did it, and he was the reason why we couldn't find any evidence on the CCTV?” She said while I was still in deep thought.

Who would dare do this to me? I am busy working abroad, and Paul was the one coming here for this business, though I could only meet them through video call. And sometimes, if Paul couldn't go here, Rhian was the one coming abroad.

“ Ryan and Kurt, find any evidence outside this building or gather evidence on the other building so we can find this man,” I said, and they both nodded. They went back to their chairs, and I lent him his laptop.

Then seconds later, my phone rings.
