Kate tried to contain her smile but it failed, her fingers lightly scraped against her thighs as she bit her lip, hiding her pearly whites

For she was sitting on white leather seats and had champagne on ice in the car she was in, the driver had slid the compartment up so she had her own privacy in the backseat where the AC blasted cold to chill her from the hot temperatures outside

She was on her way to the studio in a Cadillac, it was such a step up from her beaten down beetle she had left at home. A car to take her to work, a car that was ready to her time 24/7, a driver who attended to her every need.

It was a small gesture by the production team, they wanted their actresses to have the best of treatment for their arrival and time on set. So they handed her a personal car to take her anywhere.

Kate had never thought she'd be in such a position, sure it was just a personal car which didn't mean anything to most people but it meant alot to her. Of course she wasn't accustomed to a luxury vehicle or favours being handed out to her, so that's just one of the reasons why Kate was bubbling with joy in the back seat

That and the fact that she felt special, despite her small rudeness from Autumn this morning, she was having the time of her life even if it was a car ride to work.

Who could have a serious face when you're in a luxury Cadillac with white leather, a TV and champagne on ice to pleasure you on your journey

The sign of the studio was appearing as the car drove down the street, tall palm trees that were lined perfectly one after the other hovered over the smooth road, their shadows passing over Kate's reflection on the glass, she chuckled softly as her eyes fell over the sign of the studio

"Bringing Ms Wilson in" the diver announced through his device, hearing a static after buzzing out

The gates of the studio was then slid open without hesitation, there was no need for the girl to speak to the guard again, there was no holdup, just a smooth journey

So much had changed for Kate in the past few weeks and it was starting to get overwhelming, but for now she'd rather enjoy the feeling and rush she was receiving

The car came directly up to the entrance of the door, the driver had slipped out of his seat before Kate could even blink just to open the door for her, he stood here in his straight ironed suit and an umbrella in his hands for the girl

"You don't have to do that" Kate chuckled as she exited the car

"But, the sun is blazing hot" The driver said

"I know, but keep it for yourself, you're the one wearing a suit in the middle of this heat" Kate chuckled as she patted the man on his shoulder

"Please make sure to call me whenever you're ready, although I have a copy of your schedule. I'll be parked here for the rest of the day until you're ready ma'am" the man replied, Kate took a deep breath in and smile before walking towards the door

"Oh and thank you, for bringing me here" Kate smiled at the man

"It's my job ma'am" the man said as he walked back over to the driver's door

"I know, but still" She chuckled and made her way through the door

Only to be met with the set ready, a tall hand built building stood tall but within it was the set already prepared in the open, Kate assumed they were filming outside because of the sun finally showing for the first time in a while

Crew members were all hustling around, carrying props or arranging what had to be set, Kate smiled when she saw May sitting in her director's chair, flipping through a thick book

Beside her chair was Autumn in her own personal seat, her legs crossed over each other while her fingers typed their life away on her phone, makeup on standby adjusting a few strokes on her cheek

Kate made her way over to the woman, sitting in the black hair besides the woman that has her name written across it

"You're late" May pouted

"I am?" she asked

"Well, Autumn's been here for a while now so I assumed you'd both be here" May said, Kate glanced at the raven hair girl who paid no attention to them

"Well she left and said she rode alone, soo" Kate mumbled, causing Autumn to look up at her with fire in her eyes

"Autumn come on, I asked you to give this a try" May said

"I. Am. Trying. She's here isn't she?" Autumn asked

"She's here yet she's invisible to you" May said

"What am I supposed to do? Sit and talk like highschoolers? I don't do small talk" Autumn said as she returned back to her phone

"Um. I'm right here you know" Kate said

"Small talk is still a start, I want you two knowing each other inside and out" May said

"She's not my wife" Autumn hissed

"Ew" Kate scrunched her nose up in disgust

"You two are like children, I swear" May said

"No. But you want us to act like children and play with each other. You're like those mothers that put cousins together and assume they'll get along because they're related" Autumn rolled her eyes

"You remind me of a child because you act childish and immature sometimes" May glared

"Tell me something I don't know" Autumn gave a sarcastic glare to the woman

Kate was surprised the two talked to each other like that, if it was her talking to a director like that then she'd surely had her career tossed into the trash and had to change names

But then again, they seemed to know each other for a while, besides May was Autumn's agent and Autumn seems to listen to May

Costume crew came over carrying the two girl's clothing, Kate smiled as the familiar faces came closer and helped her into her clothes before sitting back down and allowing makeup to do some adjusting and her hair being pulled into thick curls

"You know what, I want you to take Kate to every event you have, even if it's just an interview" May smiled sweetly

Both girls had their eyes bulging out of their sockets as they turned to face the director

"I'm sorry, what!?" Kate hissed

"What the fuck May!?"

"It's not a problem, it gives more time for you two to learn about each other since you're clearly not working on it at home" May said as she continued to flip through the pages of the book

"What the- I'm not a babysitter!" Autumn yelled

"Awww well you'll learn how to" May pouted

"No offense May but I don't think that's a good idea" Kate mumbled

"Why not? I think it's a great idea. You'll learn so much about her in her interviews and Autumn over here will learn how to share her space with people" May smiled as she rested her arm on Autumn's shoulder

"I still don't like this whole idea of placing us together, you're basically forcing us to do something neither of us wants to do. I doubt it'll work, some people just aren't meant to get along" Kate said

"I get it. I do, but this film is important to me and eveyone apart of this. You guys work so good on set but there's just something holding back, you're not comfortable with each other and it shows on camera. If you two could just get along and get to know each other, you have no idea the magic you could make on set. I promise it'll be worth it in the end, just... Trust me" May smiled

Kate felt a pair of blue eyes on her, she glanced over to Autumn who quickly turned away in the moment. Silence fell upon the three women, deep breaths leaving a clearly pissed off Autumn and Kate playing with her fingers nervously, awaiting some sort of response from the raven hair girl

"Places people!" May annoucned

The two girls made their way off the chair that was carried away by a stage hand, they made their ways over to the set. A wide green pasture with tall grass, the type of grass that mirrored growing wheat, it was soft to run your fingers through and felt delicate against the skin.

Tall trees hovered over an open river, Kate couldn't help but wonder how they'd even managed to get a river in the shot but then again, it was a professional film and everything was all out, they spared no expense on the movie just to make everything fit right.

Kate couldn't help but frown when she realized how much work everyone placed into the film. Sure she was the actress and main role of the movie alongside Autumn but the people who deserved everything were the people behind scene. For instance, the people who built a whole river in the middle of a studio

Autumn stood at the bank of the river, taking a deep breath in as she slowly slipped into her Jess character. Her fingers cupped a few stones and her eyes flung out to the smooth and clear surface of the river

"Quite on set!" May called out as a stage hand clicked the time stamp

"Action"

Autumn flicked her wrist and allowed the stone to flew across the surface of the river, skipping and leaving drops as it sunk to the bottom of the river

The soft wind blew against her toned skin, brushing through her long black hair and carrying it on its path, Autumn giggled as she felt the cold wind on her skin

Kate smiled as she slowly approached the girl from behind, her eyes trailing over the way she smiled, the intense beam of the sun was nothing compared to the warm feeling she felt when seeing Autumn smile

"I know you're behind me daisy" She chuckled

"How could you tell?" Kate asked

"Well for one, I knew you'd come" Autumn said as she turned around to face the girl, her blue eyes locked with dark brown orbs

"And two, I knew you couldn't resist my charms" she smiled, Kate chuckled softly as she stood beside the girl, her eyes wondering out to the horizon

"You really think you're so smooth huh?" Kate asked

"You're here aren't you? It means you enjoy my company" The girl said as she flicked her wrist again, watching the grey stoke skip across the water surface like nothing was holding it back and it was free of its toxic family

Wish I could relate but anyways.

"Maybe I just wanted to.. Skip rocks and you just happen to be here" Kate smiled

"Oh really?" Autumn asked

"Yes, really" Kate smiled

"Well, let's see how much of a good skipper you are. Take these" Autumn said as she handed the girl a few stones

Kate's eyes widened as she took the stones in her hands, but teeth sunk down in her bottom lip as she avoided the girl's eyes, knowing she was caught she wasn't going down like that

"Fine" she playfully glared at the girl

Her fingers gripped the stone as she lowered her hand, flicking her wrist out to the water with hope in her heart and desperation of it actually working written all over her face.

But unfortunately that hope was tossed out the window when the stone didn't even do a flip, both girls watched as the grey stone plopped to the bed of the river, Autumn held her hand against her mouth to contain her laugh

"Oh.. That.. That was good" Autumn busted out laughing, earning a glare from Kate

"What? I'm sorry I'm sorry, it was a good start" Autumn chuckled

"Okay fine, I'll come clean. I actually wanted to see you again" Kate chuckled, in the corner of her eye, she noticed the camera coming closer to their faces

"Is it become of my intoxicating smile or my knees weak winks?" Autumn smirked, earning a giggle from the girl

"You do realize that if you said that to anyone else, they'd run around the village and call you a witch right?" She asked

"Well daisy, do you think I'm a witch?" Autumn asked

"Not at all Jess, not at all. But your charms aren't going to work on me" Kate smiled

"Don't talk too soon, it's only been a few hours and you're already confessing you wanted to see me again, soon you'll want me all to yourself" Autumn winked as she flicked her wrist and allowed the stone to roll over the surface

Kate's eyes glanced at the girl and she felt a flutter in her heart, sure they were just acting and it was apart of the script but the idea of Autumn flirting with her send her senses crazy, her heart pulled in her chest and a burning sensation spread across her cheeks

Maybe they really should give it a try, get to know each other for the movie sakes, it wouldn't do harm to learn more about her, especially if it would help them film. Kate's eyes lingered on Autumn's side profile as she continued to skip the rocks over the river

But deep down inside, she knew she wanted to get to know the girl more because she was slowly being drawn into Autumn's life and she had no idea why she found the girl so intriguing

"And, cut"
