"YOU'RE WHAT!?" Jamie hissed through the phone, her voice pierced into Kate's ear, causing the girl to pull it away
"Shhhhh, you're hurting my ear" Kate spat
"I will not stay quiet. YOU'RE MOVING IN WITH HOLLYWOOD'S MOST FAMOUS ACTRESS AND IM THE LAST ONE TO KNOW ABOUT THIS!?" She screeched
"Would you SHHH" Kate hissed again
"Where's Ethan?"
"He's driving, he actually got his license" Kate smiled
"Hand him the phone"
"Why?"
"QIFOEIZISJWNSKSOX JUST DO IT!"
"Okay okay. Sheesh" Kate chuckled and handed the phone to Ethan
"You know this is illegal right?" Ethan said as he used one hand to drive and another to hold the phone
"Did you yell at her yet?"
"I did. But then I realized that I could visit anytime I wanted and I might see some of Autumn's celebrity friends over" Ethan smirked
"I- you've got a point"
"Yep, now if you'll excuse me. I have to return to dr- SHIT. MOVE BITCH!" Ethan screamed and drop the phone when his eyes landed on a cat running across the street
"See, you almost killed me before I reach my execution" Kate groaned as she picked up the phone
"This is big. This is BIG BIG KATE. and y'all ain't even went on a date yet, damn... Lesbians really do move fast" Jamie snickered
"I'm bi and there's no way I'd date Autumn, she's way too much of a prick and I'm focused on my career right now" Kate said
Kate and Ethan were on their way to the house, her luggage was all packed in the trunk and Ethan was doing his best not to slip and kill them.
Jamie on the other hand went to visit her girlfriend of long distance for a few days so she was unaware of everything happening today
"You're gonna get the biggest room right?"
"It's not my house" Kate chuckled
"Exactly. You're a guest and you should be treated as such" Ethan smiled
"Ehh. Wrong. According to May, they're both equal owners of the house, they're not roommates-"
"AnD tHey wErE rOoMateS" Ethan snickered
"Anyways. We'll be visiting everyday, make sure to stack up on food" Jamie said, with a smirk obviously written on her face
"I honestly don't know what to expect" Kate mumbled
"Well, we're here so you better find a fantasy real quick" Ethan said
Kaye glanced up to see they were parked in front a tall white gate, the security guard at the end smiled and buzzed them in, recognizing Kate's face already
The tall white doors slowly opened and their jaws hung low, their eyes wanting to bulge out of their sockets
Ivy and ferns grew through the crevices of the winding stone path, which led directly to the colossal structure, the lawns has short green grass that looked picture perfect, bushes looked like a maze as it led up to the driveway of the mansion.
Ethan swallowed a lump in his throat as his feet pressed against the gas, eveything seemed so fancy and beautifully designed and they didn't even reach the door of the mansion yet.
A small ping in her chest came when she realized there was a Rolls Royce parked in the driveway while Ethan and her arrived in a busted down Beetle.
The car came to a roundabout with a fountain at the center, swept around it, and continued up toward a fantastic sprawling house.
Redbrick topped with copper domes and spires that had long ago turned green.
The mansion loomed proudly, flanked by rows of skeletal trees crowned in crimson, swaying gently to the chilly autumn wind. At its threshold stood the delicate marble fountain, the soft gurgling of the clear water melodic as it resonated in the surrounding silence.
"Jesus Christ, you've really gone up Kate" Ethan mumbled as he stepped out of the car
"They said it was where Autumn was going to be living alone. Who needs a mansion to live alone!?" Kate questioned
"She's lived in fame since she was a baby, maybe she's accustomed to being in big spaces" Ethan shrugged as he went to grab the girl's suitcases
The two held the bags and wheeled it up towards the tall wooden oak door with golden carvings and handles, Kate took a deep breath in before unlocking it with the key May gave her, she slowly pushed the door open
The house was nothing they'd ever seen before, with wooden panels along the corridors, ornate chandeliers, and oil paintings of old bearded men in tunics and ruffs. The stairs led down into a tall galleried room with a rug spread out over flagstones and a fireplace big enough to park a car in. A long polished wooden table had been set for three.
"Holy" Ethan gasped
"Shit" Kate finished
The two gazed at the living room, freezing in their place and dropping the suitcases onto the marbled floor
Ethan grew up in a home similar to such but it was smaller, Kate on the other hand had never stepped close to a mansion. The apartment she lived in was the biggest space she owned her entire life
"Remember when you thought this was a bad idea before?" Ethan asked
"Y-Yes" Kate said
"I think this is gonna be the greatest thing that's ever happened to you" Ethan mumbled
Kate finally broke from her trance, glancing to her bestfriend as watching his dazed state on the house
"Let's just hope so" She mumbled
"Where's Madam Bitchus?" Ethan asked
"I assumed she was here, there's two cars in the driveway already" Kate mumbled
On cue. Obviously on cue. Heels echoed through the house, the two glanced to the wide staircase and saw black heels walking down, creamy legs came into contact followed by the biggest grin on the person's face
"May!" Ethan squealed
"Ethan, hello dear" The director smiled
"You're here?" Kate asked
"Of course, I had to make sure you two don't chew each other's head off on the first day" May chuckled
"Where is she?" Kate asked
The sound of the wooden oak doors slamming wide open echoed throughout the entire house, their necks snapped in the direction of the front door to see Autumn standing there, her hands held on her hips and a smirk on her face
She pushed her sunglasses to onto her head, pushing back a few strands of her raven black hair so her blue eyes were now in view.
Kate's eyes trailed over her white crop top that exposed her toned and perfectly shaped stomach, her tight blue jeans hugged her curves. Kate subconsciously bit her lip, a heat traveled to her chest which she quickly shook off her removing her eyes from the girl's body
"Alright, take that to my room and get rid of the pictures on the walls, they're hideous" Autumn said
A few people suddenly emerged from behind the girl, carrying wooden frames and what seemed to be the rest of Autumn's belongings
The pictures on the wall were taken down by the people as they hung posters of movies and TV shows that Autumn appeared in
The rest of workers carried her clothes one by one in their hands leading up the stairs, some brought in a few chairs and tables.
Others took the opportunity to spray every inch of the house to disinfectant it, wiping every counter and shining the glass
"What's this?" Kate asked
"She's bringing in her stuff, make it more personal, didn't you bring anything?" May asked
Kate frowned and looked down to her suitcase, she had only packed her clothes but seemed to misplace the only thing she kept with her during her childhood.
Autumn approached the girl with a smile on her face, but it was only meant for May
"I had a brown bear, it was the size of my arm but he was like a tower to me when I was ten" Kate chuckled
"Ugh what is this, story time at 9am?" Autumn rolled her eyes, earning a death glare from May
Autumn rolled her eyes and crossed her arms against her chest, awaiting Kate to finish her story so she could speak to May
"I brought him with me to my old apartment but I've never seen him since a few days ago. It sounds silly but he actually kept me happy when I was younger, I didn't have much friends so you could say I had alot of tea parties with him" Kate chuckled
"That's so cute" May giggled
"Sad.... Anyways, May I need to speak to you in Private" Autumn said sternly
"Damn, you really are heartless" Ethan mumbled
Autumn slowly turned on her heels to meet the voice, her eyes landed on the curly hair boy that braced his back against the wall and his hands shoved in his pockets
"Excuse me? Who are you?" Autumn scoffed
"Someone you'll regret meeting if you continue to treat Kate like she's invisible and her feelings are nothing" Ethan said sternly
"She had a bear. She lost it. She'll get over it, we always do" Autumn rolled her eyes
"Wow... Who hurt you?" Ethan asked
Autumn remained silent, it seems that alot of things make her silent these days. She's not the type to keep quiet or be speechless
"you don't wanna know" She mumbled before glancing to Kate
Her eyes trailed over Kate's brown hair was was pulled into a high pony, her eyes seemed more tired than usual, perhaps she wasn't getting that much sleep. Kate had lost the bear this week and hadn't gotten that much sleep since it was her comfort
But she still managed to look absolutely perfect, her brown eyes looked much lighter, her smile wasn't that wide but it still made Autumn's heart do a flip in her chest as she fought to contain her own smile just looking at the girl
"AUTUMN" May yelled
"Huh? What?" Autumn snapped out of her gaze
"Where'd your mind go, you dozed out a bit" May said
Autumn glanced in Kate's direction once again, seeing the girl's smile get even wider, noticing a pink stain appearing on her cheek
"Don't worry about it"
