The rain had quenched the soil from sandy hues to rich, strong browns, the kind that brought an inner smile, but for two girls, they found smiles in the cold
Softly splashing water droplets hit the car windows as they came to a halt in the parking lot. The skies were overhung with a blanket of grey, so much so that they could barely tell the difference between the sky and clouds. Despite car rides feeling tedious, the rain commonly calmed them. Kate watched raindrops race down to the windows. The occasional wave of a puddle can be exciting, but she would rather be outside in those puddles than stuck in the car
The water droplets fell like they simply couldn't think of anything better to do. There was a laziness about them, as if they could barely be bothered to conform to the will of gravity
Kate giggled as she pushed open the car door, not even hesitating before she splashed her feet into the puddles of water
"KATE WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING" Autumn hissed as she hopped out next
"It's raining. Enjoy it" Kate smiled
"You're gonna get yourself sick, it's pouring rain out here and you're playing in the parking lot"
"So?"
"Soooo you have a meeting with your director tomorrow to review changes, you can't miss it" Autumn said sternly, crossing her arms across her chest
The brunette smirked as she stopped splashing the bottom of her feet against the puddles of water, then turned to face her girlfriend
Her eyes trailed over the girl's body. Autumn's raven black hair was French braided and tucked into a bun while a few strands hung down her face. Her electric blue eyes matched the colour of sky blue with smoke passing through them, yet they were so intense. Her lips looked glossy from her pink lip gloss that Kate had pinned her down and placed on her earlier in the car. Her beige crop top turtle neck had a few gold chains around them, followed by her beige trousers that complimented her tanned skin tone perfectly. The girl pushed her glasses above her head and raised a brow at Kate's eyes running up and down her body
"You're so hot" Kate whispered
Something seemed to stop withing Autumn. As if her walls physically broke and she melted by the girl's voice
Autumn playfully rolled her eyes but kept her burning blush on her face as she glanced away
"Come on, dance with me" Kate chuckled
"No, you're going to get us both sick" Autumn groaned, stepping closer towards her girlfriend with a wide umbrella in her hand
She brought the black umbrella over their heads, protecting her girlfriend from the heavy downpour of rain that half soaked Kate's body
"You're no fun" Kate pouted
"I don't play around when it comes to my girl" Autumn muttered
"Oh so now I'm your girl?"
"You've always been mine, whether you knew it or not" Autumn said sternly
"Then dance with your girlfriend" Kate giggled before stepped backwards, allowing the raindrops to soak her again
Autumn rolled her eyes and groaned before chasing after the shorter girl in the middle of the parking lot
"KATEEE"
"Baby, dance with meee" Kate giggled
And from that rain soaked ground came such life, the plants that grew so strong in the bountiful rays. The water was liquid magic and the Earth was the richness and nurture for the flower-given seeds.
Without the rain it is only mud, without the earth it is only water, together they were a sort of cozy joy, a tingle of hope and of good things to come, which is exactly why Kate's joy had been lifted and she scurried around the parking lot, running away from her girlfriend and stomping onto the water
"KATE WILSON, COME BACK HERE" Autumn hissed
"Dance with me first" Kate smirked, stopping in her tracks
Autumn had finally caught up to her as she covered the umbrella over the girl once again
"Kate I'm tired of-" Autumn was cut off by warm lips capturing her own
The rain hammered down as if it meant to beat the entire city into the sidewalk. People pass in frenetic chaos, everyone single minded for their destination - all except two people, Autumn's umbrella fell to the wet street and be blown by the wind when she tasting the girl's sweet lips
Her soft lips brushed against Autumn's, melting her in the process so that her entire body became captured by the feeling. Her arms went weak making her grip on the umbrella less. It feel to the ground when Kate's arms hooked around the girl's neck, pulling her closer
Autumn's hands gripped her girlfriend's waist, feeling her press her entire warmth against her own. Kate's foot lifted in an angle as she exhaled a sharp breath
Their eyes closed tightly as Kate captured her bottom lip between her girlfriend's. Chills ran through every limb of their bodies. The familiar electric charge coursed through their veins again
She felt her body shudder in pleasure as Autumn ran a tongue across her bottom lip, begging for entrance. She parted her mouth and allowed muffled moans to escape as Autumn's tongue roamed her mouth moving against her tongue
Her hands locked the nape of Autumn's neck when she moaned into her mouth, feeling the raven hair girl pulling her closer
They were bound in a kiss that was so tender the world should stop on its axis and take note of their love
They kissed like each other was the finest thing they'd ever taste. She was her champagne and Kate was her hazelnut latte and the wetness that soaked through her jeans just didn't matter
I'm sure she meant the rain and not that kind of wetness

The rain ran down their faces to where their lips met, each of them tasting the cold drops. Instead of detracting from the intensity of the moment it brought them to new heights. Autumn pushed her lips in more firmly and the wave that ran through her was intoxicating, making her head swim as she pulled back to take in her girlfriend's beautiful face
"Whoa" Autumn whispered
Kate couldn't catch her breath, her chest heaved heavily as her bottom lip quivered. Her brown orbs piercing into dilated blue ones. The drops of water tapped against her eyelashes, running down her nose onto her lips and Autumn couldn't imagine anything more beautiful, anything more peaceful, anything more breathtaking than her girlfriend
"Now will you dance with me?" Kate chuckled, still trying to find her breath
"Well. Now that you've gotten me completely wet-" Autumn chuckled before tilting her head up towards the falling rain
The liquid splashed down on Autumn's face, slowly trailing down her toned and exposed down, teasing the brunette
She watched as the drops ran down in an agonizingly slow pace over the girl's skin. Kate felt a heat travel through her body and settle in the pit of her stomach at the image
Without thinking, she gripped onto the girl's waist and went in the tip of her toes. Kate pressed a flat tongue on her girlfriend's neck, slowly trailing it up her skin and tasting the cold droplets of water
"Fuckk" Autumn gave a low moan when she leaned her head down, also feeling a heat settle to her core when she stared at these coffee brown eyes
"Did you just lick m-"
"Yes" Kate smiled confidently
"Maybe you should do it again" Autumn smirked
"Maybe" Kate whispered, rising on the tip of her toes again and wrapped her arms around the girl's neck
"I just might" She whispered smoothly
"Don't tease me right now. You got me soaked already"
"Is there someone else that's supposed to get you wet?" Kate smirked
"i-"
"Exactly, now be quiet"
"Yes ma'am" Autumn chuckled as she intertwined her fingers with her girlfriend
She lifted her arm into the air and spun Kate under her, hearing the brunette giggle before pulling her back into her chest. Kate's hand placed on the girl's waist as they swayed to the sound of the raindrops, only a rhythm they could understand
They flowed in dance, it was as if it were the only way their bodies truly knew how to speak
Verbally Autumn was guarded, physically she was an icon to the public. On stage her personality, her sensuality burst through into the most vibrant picture of a beautiful soul
She dropped her eyes momentarily before looking, her head tilted to one side and a hopeful smile played on her lips
Her hands held Kate's back before dipping her low. The brunette squealed, the soft sounds leaving her throat when her head tilted backwards, her heart starting to race at the thought of Autumn dropping her onto the wet concrete ground
The raven hair girl quickly pulled her girlfriend back up, their chest colliding once again and Kate's arms tightly hooked onto her waist again for strength, knowing her heart was still racing in her chest
"Mhmm" Autumn hummed as she sunk her face into the side of Kate's neck
The brunette giggled at the warm vibrations tickling her skin
"I love you" Autumn mumbled
"I love you more" Kate giggled
"No, I really love you" Autumn muttered again
"I know you do baby" Kate whispered, her fingers running through the wet strands of Autumn's black hair
"I really don't know what would have happened to my life if I hadn't met you. You just came in and turned it all around without me even knowing it. I'm just... Really happy that I got to actually get to know you. And now, I'm hooked. I'm hooked on everything there is about you and I can't get enough. I love you Kate" Autumn whispered before pressing a tender kiss on the girl's cheek
"You're.. Gonna make my heart explode" The brunette giggled
"That's exactly how I feel everytime I see you smile. It's cheesy, I know but its true" Autumn groaned
"I think I fell in love with you before I even knew you"
"What kind of stalker shit-"
"SHUT UP"
"I'm sorrryyy, I saw an opportunity and I took it" Autumn giggled
"Idiot"
"Your idiot. Get it correct" The raven hair girl glared
"Yes. My idiot" Kate giggled
"HELLLOOOOO. Y'all two really standing in the middle of a parking lot with an entire diner waiting on you!?" Ethan's voice echoed through the rain
The two girls snapped their heads in the direction of their two friends standing at the door of the diner and with arms crossed and brows raised
"We were having a MOMENT. THANK YOU" Autumn hissed
"Talk to me like that again and I'll put my foot so far up your ass that I'll find your prostate" Ethan glared
"And if YOU talk to me like that again, I'll tickle your prostate and watch you cum in my hands!" Autumn hissed
"EWWWWW OH MY GOD" Jamie groaned before dashing into the diner, trying to avoid the conversation between the two actors
"That's nasty" Kate glared
"You like me nasty" Autumn smirked
"Ew. Oh my God eww" Kate groaned
"Shut up and kiss me" Autumn laughed
"No"
"Pwease" The raven hair girl pouted
"No"
"I SAID PWEASE"
"FINE" Kate hissed before cupping her girlfriend's cheeks and pulling her face forward. Her lips gave her a small peck before she pulled away
"Better?"
"No-"
"Oh for God sakes" Kate rolled her eyes and gripped her girlfriend's wrist, tugging her in the direction of the diner just a few feet away from them
It was the reopening of the diner Kate used to work on. You see, after Kate quit her job as a waitress to focus more on her first movie, the diner went downhill
No one wanted to stay at the diner. Hmm. I wonder why. Hmm. *cough* the manager a bitch *cough*
Jamie eventually quit to work part time as a singer in a nearby cafe. But now she was hand picked by a producer to work with as backup vocals. The more she worked with them, the more they became interested in giving her, her own album
Which is exactly what happened. The girl signed along with Aelia Green and Jauregui Industries and worked on her own album which got sold out in just three days after being released
Ethan also got along with May Hills who introduced him to a few producers and brought him in for an interview for her latest project. He played the main role which gave him an even bigger advantage for his career. Just like Kate, just phone started to blow up with brand deals and calls for auditions
So when the three gays left the diner, it was left as dust. So when Kate heard that the diner she basically had the start of her career in was going up for sale. It was only right that she used her first paycheck she saved from her first movie together with Autumn and buy the diner
Remodelling was done. The pale orange extieror was now painted mint green outside with red and white stripes that resembled candy canes along the windows. The red and glow diner sigh stood tall on the roof, glowing bright in the pouring rain and dark grounds hanging over it
The familiar ding of the bell went off as she pushed open the door, feeling the warm embrace of the packed diner meet her soaked skin
"SURPRISEEE" Voices screamed after the girls
Kate's eyes widened as she glanced around the diner to see it packed with customers all grinning at her. A few familiar faces stood by the bar, surrounding the door to greet the two girls
"Congratulations on your re opening" Jamie chuckled as she wrapped her arms around the girl's shoulder
"Wait. You're wet?"
"Sorry, that's my fault. She just can't control herself sometimes" Autumn smirked
"Ugh, I could have gone my entire life without hearing that" Jamie rolled her eyes
"Suck it James"
"Okay Anton!" Jamie glared at her
The entire diner smelled like the fresh batch of cookies that flaired in the oven. The cookies were more peanut than flour and dotted with chocolate chips. The surface is crackled as the earth is in late summer, softly golden and awaiting the rain
The waitors scurried around to fill orders, their black uniforms neatly ironed and tucked in, white ties around their necks
The waiters rushed around with their pens and diaries, patiently taking orders. Their wide smiles on their faces mirrored the customers, that was how you know they were satisfied
They poured the smooth, brown milk created with a contrast with the mug that lay on the table with others of its kind in cups
The lustrous texture, topped with chocolate crumbles outdated the effect created by the coffee beans which placed themselves outside the mug, begging to be crushed
The vibrant aroma seemed to have extricated itself from the thick, cream coating over the surface, penetrating deep into noses of customers
"Hi Katie" a familiar face appeared
"Pearllll" Kate squealed before running towards the older woman
"How are you doing dear?"
"Couldn't been better" She smiled
"Oh I can see, especially with that arm candle around you" Pearl smirked before nodding towards the raven hair girl that slipped into a booth
"Pearl, hush. That's basically your granddaughter"
"I know sweetie, I'm just saying" Pearl laughed
"Oh my god" Kate chuckled
"I just had to come down to your opening. Everything seems to going well. I also dragged along a friend" Pearl said before nodding towards a woman at the bar who's concentration was deep into that stain she tried to scrum away from the bar
Waitresses folded their arms as she stared at the woman who refused to move until she did their jobs
"Ah ha! See. Now that's how you get rid of a stubborn stain" June grinned
"June!" Kate yelled
"wha- oh my g- Ms Wilson"
"What are you doing" Kate chuckled
"I was just-"
"You're a guest here. Now let me treat you like one" Kate chuckled as she placed a hand on her maid's shoulder
"Someone get a massage chair for June over here, stuff her with cookies because she loves it and get her a milkshake, vanilla if I remember correctly"
"Ms Wilson you don't have t-"
"Oh hush up June, we're getting shit for free" Pearl playfully glared, causing the two women to chuckle
A few employees rushed around, tugging the woman away towards their chairs to pamper the life out of them
Kate chuckled before her eyes glanced over towards her girlfriend. Autumn's head was leaned against the clear window, her blue eyes glowed under the bright stroke of lightening flashing outside, random rain drops cascading down the clear glass, making random paths until they reached the bottom. The shadows of their paths reflected onto Autumn's face as the girl held a small smile at the weather. Kate shook her head smiling as she walked towards the girl
She took a blanket with her and held two cups of warm chocolate on a tray as she made her way over towards her girlfriend, knowing she must have been shivering from being soaked
"Welcome to the three musketeers, what can I get for you today?" Kate smirked
She took the blanket and draped it around Autumn's shoulder and her own, making sure the thick material was warm enough to wrap around them both
Autumn's palms clasped around the mug, feeling the heat rush into her skin. Her eyes closed as she inhaled deeply, feeling the pleasure of the warm feeling invade her senses before turning towards her girlfriend again
"Hmm. You know, I think I'm craving something... Sweet" Autumn whispered as she placed her hand on the girl's hips
"Oh really?" Kate chuckled, tossing her arms around the girl's neck
"Something, warm but soft enough to melt even ice" Autumn whispered again, bringing her fingers to hook under the girl's chin, tilting them upwards
"Mhm hmm?" Kate hummed, her coffee brown eyes falling into Autumn's lips that were just a breath away from her own
"Something that only belongs to me" Autumn mumbled
"For God sakes. Just kiss already!" Ethan hissed from the bar, causing the entire diner to erupt in laughter
It was only then did the two girls realize that all eyes were already on them, just awaiting the moment for them to kiss
They giggled softly, Kate's cheek burning a bright shade of red, being flushed with embarrassment at the crowd
Autumn leaned in and captured the girl's lips between her own, connecting their lips into a passionate kiss
The customers in the diner all erupted in their cheers, some applauded the two girls while others screamed at the top of their lungs, hyping the two girls
She pressed her lips against the brunette's feeling her body loosen and shoulders sink as the feeling of warmth consume them both
Kate's mouth curved into a smile as their lips moved tenderly together, tilting her head to deepen the kiss as their strong tongues brushed against each other
"ALRIGHT. GET A ROOM NOW" Jamie laughed
Autumn and Kate both raised a finger to the air in the direction of the girl, flipping her off and never disconnecting their lips
Autumn lightly sucked on the girl's bottom lip earning a soft moan from the brunette
Her breath shuddered against the girl's mouth but she attached their lips against quickly, delving their tongues deeper
Their kiss grew even hungrier and their tongues dove deeper, both girl's desperately needing that closeness of each other but their lungs burning from the lack of oxygen entering
"I love you Kate" Autumn whispered when she pulled away, her bottom lips quivering as her chest heaved heavily from taking deep breaths
Kate chuckled softly before cupping the girl's cheeks, pulling her face closer before she placed a tender kiss on Autumn's forehead
Then leading down to her left cheek, placing another kiss on the tip of the girl's nose then to her right cheek and finally leaving a tender kiss on Autumn's lips
When she was finished, Autumn's cheeks were left with a red shade from her burning blush and faded lipstick marks all over her face as Kate squeezed her chubby cheeks
The brunette giggled softly before placing another tender kiss on her girlfriend's lips
"I love you Autumn"
