Fyrrah's POV

"Will it take you days to find out why?" I finally asked, breaking the silence Alessio left us with. It took me almost three hours to convince Alessio that I stay with Artemis for a while. He rejected the idea at first, thinking I was planning to escape. The events a few days ago was, of course, brought up again. The man was so scared of letting me out of his sight. He finally agreed in the end, though reluctant. He went back to the castle to do whatever work alpha kings do but not without a blatant reminder that he will chain me in 'our' bed once he caught me running away and ordering Artemis to build a protection ward for my safety, which is also one of the reasons why he was hesitant to leave.

Artemis looked up at me, removing her gaze from the book she was so engrossed in reading. "Two or three, most likely. But if you're lucky I can find out why today."

I grinned, "Well, can you make a lucky charm for me?"

"Buy luck somewhere else." She rolled her silvery white irises at me before resuming reading the book.

I chuckled, relaxing myself on the sofa. I can't help but feel grateful that I am away from too many growling werewolves in the castle. Don't get me wrong, I'm not used to crowded places but I love Alessio's castle. Afterall, that's where I live now and I'm not going to complain anything about it. It just felt so good to meet new faces and enjoy a familiar peaceful silence in the middle of the woods.

"How did you know I'm a Draconia?" I suddenly remembered her first word earlier.

"You siphoned every traces of power and magic in the air when you entered the room, plus your aura is glowing red and gold. I saw the firestone in the middle of the gold, my grandma once told me that royals contain gold in their auras but since you have the stone I guessed that you are a draconia." She answered without looking at me.

I nodded in understanding, wondering if Leo knew it all along since a few of his witches met me years back then-or maybe not 'cause not one of his men escaped my wrath and lived to report back...yet. "Do you need any help?" I guess I could make myself useful while waiting.

She closed the book and set it on the coffee table separating the both of us, "I could use some. Why don't you start by sharing some information about yourself? Not the personal ones, except if you wanted to." She urged, handing me a cup of tea.

I took a sip and relaxed further into the couch, "In the elven kingdoms, you'll be able to control your element once you turned sixteen, when I didn't my father disowned me. Two years later I acquired the stone, since then I was...stronger."

She looked at me attentively, "Stronger?"

"I was faster than before, temperament, immune to fire..." Then I showed her my skin, which was starting to change. Scales covered my arm and my claws lengthened. Ridges erupted on the outer side of my forearm forming a dangerous weapon. "And I can turn into a dragon." Her gasp was all I need to know she believed me and I phased back into my normal appearance.

She stared at me with awe for a few minutes before her eyes widened. I heard her mutter a 'shit' before she started rummaging through her piles of books and ancient scrolls.

I was confused for a moment, "Umm...what are you doing?"

She ignored me and continued searching in the boxes when she found none in the piles. "It's here... I know I placed it somewhe--FOUND IT!" She squealed inspecting the newfound item.

It's a book, thick and hardbound but it looks ancient and it's pages were dog-eared. You need to be careful in flipping the pages or you'll be looking into thin air in no time. The faded golden letters in the front cover read 'Royals of the Realm'.

"This would answer some of our questions about you." She beamed excitedly.

"I hate to say this but I don't think I'm ready for a history lesson." I eyed the book warily.

"Oh c'mon! You're practically the future queen of the werewolves so I think you should know everything about history." Her teasing smile made me want to strangle her. I should've left with Alessio earlier. Now I'm stuck with a history teacher. Goodness, I hate history.

"What the heck? I'm no queen, okay?" I glared, arms crossed in defiance.

She giggled, "Deny it all you want but I don't think the Alpha King would let you go anytime soon. You're stuck with him, Draconia."

"I'm not denying anything, Wiccan." I stood my ground even though I felt butterflies in my stomach when she said 'future queen of the werewolves'.

"Whatever, you wouldn't be able to leave him anyway." She sighed in defeat.

"And why is that?" I was curious once again. Why won't I be able to leave him? Thinking about it made my eyebrows furrow.

She shrugged her shoulders, "That's for you to find out."

I groaned loudly making her laugh. Seriously, what is it with people saying 'that's for you to find out'? I'm asking because I don't know the damn answer!

"Okay, enough with that." She threw a berry at me which I managed to catch using my mouth. "Now, who's up for history?"

Great.

The Draconia, The Aguila, The Leon, The Siren, The Necromancer, The Lycan, The Elixr, The Seraphim, The Vulture and The Beast. Each one represents one of the ten kingdoms. We have read introductions about them and they're a little bit useful. There are missing pages and unfortunately, The Draconia was one of those. The common skills however, were included in the introduction. They can shift partially or fully, agile and their senses were enhanced. The communication between the elven stones was also explained and there were names of the royals who were able to shift before. Artemis volunteered to read the rest of the book for me in case we missed something important and to continue trying to find the missing pages. I thanked her for that and we spent the rest of the day rearranging the things that we messed up in trying to find the torn parts of the book. Alessio returned before nightfall to collect me and we went back to the castle immediately after saying goodbye to Artemis.

"Have you found something, little elf?" He asked while leading me to the dining room, one hand carefully placed in the small of my back gently pushing me forward.

"Sadly, we haven't. But some common informations were there. She said she would read the rest again and would call if she found something useful." I informed, moving closer to him so that his arm wrapped around my waist.

He grinned playfully, "Already missing me, eh?"

"Of course not," I scowled, the lie tasted sour in my tongue. "I was just going to remind you about our deal earlier this morning."

He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, "What deal?"

I glanced around the hallway to see if someone's around then turned to whisper in his ear, "The chocolates, Alpha."

He chuckled, picking me up to carry me in his arms. "Oh, how could I forget."

We reached the dining room to see Tristan feeding his dog, I think his name was Rover. Apparently, Tristan is obsessed with cars. He even named one of his nephews Veyron. Yep, like the Bugatti.

"Were home!" I exclaimed cheerfully as Alessio carefully sat me on a stool. Tristan ignored our presence, too occupied by Rover. Alessio pecked my cheeks before walking over to the fridge and pulling out a box of chocolates for me.

"Yes! Chocolates!" Tristan suddenly stood up from crouching in front of Rover to grab a handful of chocolates but a hand stopped him with a growl.

"These are for my little elf."

Tristan pouted, "No fair!"

I rolled my eyes at his antics, "Go buy your own! You have salary, I don't." I smirked, gathering the box in my arms and disappearing from the kitchen into Alessio's office. By the time he entered the room I was already halfway the contents of the box. I grinned sheepishly at him, "Want some?"

He shook his head in amusement as he strode across the room, coming to a stop in front of me. "I guess the deal is sealed then. You won't tell anyone about the birthmark, right?"

I feigned confusion, "What birthmark? Dude, are you on drugs?"

He laughed heartily at me, kissing my forehead after a while. "Yes, I am." He stared at me intensely.

"Uhm.. is it good?" I asked curious.

He nodded, burying his face on my neck as he inhaled deeply. "Very...intoxicating." My breathing hitched when his lips made contact with my skin. He kissed the spot gently, a smile forming on his lips.

"M-Must be expensive." I tried to return my breathing back to normal and calm my heart which was beating erratically.

His lips moved onto my jaw, raining tiny kisses as I bit my lip in trying to stop a moan from escaping. The tingles I've been feeling a lot lately when he's near me intensified. My pupils dilated and a sliver of desire shot through my spine, heating up my body. Damn chocholates.

He growled, eyes turning black as he leaned down and captured my lips with his. His lips were soft against mine, passionately memorizing every angle and every curve of my lips. One hand gripped my waist tightly but gently, pulling me closer. The other was placed on my nape, craning my neck slightly to give him more access. His hands on my waist massaged me gently, making me moan in pleasure and he waisted no time invading my mouth. I fought for dominance when I memorized the rhythm of his kisses but he won, he growled softly at my submission as he bit my lower lip and sucked it gently. His lips captured mine again before slowly pulling away, leaving me in the cold, flustered and gasping for air. Right now, I'm nowhere near attractive.

"You are, Fyrrah... You are my drug."

Or maybe I am.
