Blood Moon Forest
The Dragon's Cave
Fyrrah's POV
The sound of the waves crashing on the rocky coast chased away the lingering silence from the forest where we came from. The gentle breeze of the wind calmed my nerves which were alert due to our whole day trek. The gentle waves hitting the sand erased all the tracks we had left and soon we were already climbing rocks after rocks. The mosses made them slippery but we managed to reach the huge rock I used to close the entrance of the cave... The Dragon's Cave.
"We're here!" I said in a sing-song voice.
"Are you sure? I don't see any cave." Alessio spoke from behind me. I giggled a bit before pushing the rock slightly to the right to reveal a narrow entrance enough for me and him to fit in. Alessio handed me the torch light but I told him to keep it for emergency cases, we won't need one inside. I walked in with him in tow and he helped me pull the rock back to its place. Darkness surrounded us and on instinct he pulled me closer to him, his muscles tensed and his stance was alert for any upcoming attack.
"It's fine, I'll lead the way." I dragged him further into the heart of the cave and not long before a ray of light was seen at the end of the passageway. When we reached it I pulled a lever down and the wooden door was lifted, showing a room filled with stalactites and stalagmites glowing gold. Droplets of water provided glitters, giving the room a picturesque touch and the stalactites a chandelier look. One side of the cave was full of stolen bags and possessions of Leo's men, stacked and almost reaching the ceiling. On the other side was a stream with a mini waterfall I used for bathing. The water was crystal clear, it's usually cold during summer and warm in the winter season.
"Unbelievable..." Alessio muttered, eyes wide and jaw dropping in awe and amazement. It's truly a sight to behold, that's also how I reacted when I discovered this hidden paradise.
"We could stay the night if you want. We'll continue in the morning, let's rest for a while." I took his hand in mine and we crossed the stream by jumping from one rock to another. I led him up the stairs I made and to the elevated ground where I sleep. Bear fur covered the cold earth and two comfortable pillows were placed on top of it. "You shared your bed with me, now I share mine with you."
We got ready for bed after he insisted we try the stream water together. Thankfully I still have scented oils to use as soap. Right now we were already in my so-called bed and Alessio's unbelievably silent the whole time. He just kept staring at the scenery before us while absentmindedly running his fingers through my hair. I used his other arm as a pillow while my arms were wrapped around him.
"You know, I'm starting to think you're planning to murder me in my sleep." I said jokingly.
His gray eyes turned to me, alight with mischief and playfulness. The cave lights accented his eyes, giving them a golden hue and I'm beginning to like it. "Oh how wrong you are, little elf..." He answered in a sultry voice, sending shivers down my spine and making me gulp. That didn't go unnoticed by him as his eyes darkened a little.
"What were you thinking then?" I asked carefully, not wanting to touch a string barely hanging. If he's really thinking about what I thought he was thinking then I'm screwed. Damn, this man is the only person I am truly scared of. He's making me feel needy, He's making me want him. Any independent person hates to rely on someone, how much more to need and want someone? Ask an independent woman to marry, you'll get a whack in the head. Sounds good? Yeah, probably.
"I was thinking about a certain spitfire... How I want to wrap her in my arms like this," He whispered seductively in my ear, caging me in his strong arms. "How I badly want to spend the night with her, alone in a magnificent cave. Just the two of us, enjoying the romantic air nipping at our exposed skin and breathing each other's scent." He finished by laying a light kiss on my neck. "Tell me you want that too..."
I smiled sweetly, hiding the evilness I'm planning. "You don't know how much I wanted that, Alessio..." Seduction laced my response, adding fuel to the sensual flame he created. His eyes darkened and a low growl escaped his lips, "Too bad you're not getting any tonight, Alpha King." I cackled evily, turning my back to him. A frustrated groan told me my plan had succeeded making me laugh again.
"One day I'll have my revenge. Be ready, baby." He warned with that sexy smirk of his. Goodness, now I can't wait.

I woke up to the sound of wings flapping wildly in the air. I carefully maneuvered myself out of Alessio's warmth who was still sleeping like a hibernating bear. I chuckled at the thought, But he's still my koala bear though. I descended down the stairs, pulling another lever down on the cave wall and a window slowly opened. Sunlight flooded the room as the white owl followed inside and I quickly pulled the lever up to close my handmade window. Sight landed on top of the crate where I had put some of my essentials, making himself comfortable.
"Hey there, buddy..." I cooed, carrying him in my arms gently. I took the neatly rolled piece of paper tucked in his beak and read it silently.
Dear Fyrrah,
I'll be damned if I'm still not going to receive any feedback from you. Elisa's still missing, and the entire kingdom's in an uproar. Leo delivered a message to the king saying that the traces of the evidences leads to you. I'm both pissed and desperate at the same time. I haven't heard from you since two weeks ago and I'm worried shit. Three days ago, Leonardo came back from his mission to find Elisa. He brought with him a werewolf, not just an ordinary wolf. A gamma, Fyrrah. He said his pack is helping to rescue Elina and to capture you at the same time. Dad didn't allow me to stay and listen so the information was mainly among themselves only. Huh, as if I didn't know it was that bastard general's idea to kick me out of the meeting room.
Be careful, Fyrrah. Please find Elisa.
Love,
Virgo
My temper flared while reading the letter. He even managed to pull a wolf pack as his ally, no doubt telling them another lie about me and including them in his pity party. I wrote my reply at the back, informing him everything that happened. I told him to keep the involvement of the alpha king a secret and to burn this note immediately after he finished reading. I promised him I will find and rescue Elisa, and to make Leo pay. At the very bottom I told him about Leo's plan, yep, the 'royal babies' thing.
When I'm finished I tucked the note back in Sight's beak and sent him off again after giving him a little treat. Sight is Virgo's pet owl. He was proved useful and smart for maintaining our communication. Though his name - Sight - was a little weird, I think it suits him. Afterall, he's also weird like the one who named him... which is me.
I heaved a sigh, my thoughts going back to the happenings these past few days... specifically, Alessio. Since the day I met him, my thoughts had gone haywire inside my mind. That cost me too much time, and everyday is another chance slipping out of my grasp. Just one look at those intense gray orbs and all rational accounts were suddenly forgotten. Yet, I can't seem to think that meeting him was just an accident and being with him was a mistake. That man was an enigma, yet even the firestone accepted him with blinded familiarity. The scariest thing is, even my body reacts to his every touch. He managed to consume my thoughts, no doubt his next destination would be my heart. Sneaky.
I made my way to the arsenal, glancing at him for a second to see if he's already up before taking a box and opening it. A potion vial was there, enough for two people. This hides the dominance, the aura, the scent and the power of an immortal leaving only a small amount to make him unnoticeable to others. I found this on one of the bases co-habited by both witches and elves. This will last for atleast three days, enough time to gather information. However, the side effect would be restriction to the usage of powers. That would be fine by me since I don't really have one but I can't say the same for Alessio. Not being able to shift for three days? I'm sure his answer would be no.
"You're up." A sleepy voice muttered beside me.
"Thanks, Captain Obvious." I answered sarcastically.
He grinned adorably at me, "What's that?"
I looked back down at the potion, "Oh, I need to discuss this with you."
I pulled him down to sit on one of the rocks. He stared at me curiously with a raised eyebrow. "Don't tell me you're making me drink that love potion? You know that we don't need that anymore baby, we have chemistry." He joked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
"Chemistry my ass," I rolled my eyes at his antics. "This is a mixture of wolfsbane, vervain, human chemicals and binding spells of witches. This was used by Leo's men to hide their scents, auras, dominance, and power. This would be enough for the both of us but I need to ask you first if you would want to use it." I explained with a serious face.
His face turned serious too, eyes focused on me and jaws clenched in vacillation. "What's the catch?"
The corner of my lips attempted to form a smile, proud of the Alpha King in front of me but I bit my lip to stop it. "You wouldn't be able to use your powers for three days, the same as me. But it will affect you more because you wouldn't be able to shift and I don't have the ability to summon fire."
His eyes darkened, processing the idea I proposed thoroughly while at the same time thinking of the possible threats that will come our way. "Bring it on." He smirked, eyes twinkling with deep dark secrets.
Now I'm starting to think I'm going to be the one who would be greatly affected.
