âItâs alright. Itâs not that hard to make, and I can make as much as I want with the ingredients.â
Molitiaâs softly spoken words touched Lillyâs admirable eyes.
âThank you!â
A present for a maid. The new Duchessâs highly dignified performance dumbfounded Lili.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
She had heard that some nobles are deliberately strict to discipline the maids. Itâs challenging to leave your home and settle down in a new place. She had heard that sensitive people deliberately whip the maids so that they are not seen as careless.
But Molitia didnât. Rather, she showed the kindness of giving out the things she used. Lili met a gentle lady, and although it hasnât even been a day since she met her, Liliâs loyalty had snowballed.
âThen Iâll apply this all over your body.â
âYes.â
The maidsâ hands became busy, filling a certain amount of lotion in them. The fragrance of roses filled the bathroom
and their hands.
When Molitia returned to her bedroom, leaving the maids behind, the box welcomed her alone.
This is what came from the Count. When Molitia opened the box, it was full of familiar objects.
Originally, it was impossible for a nobleâs luggage to be just a box. Even a carriage is usually not enough. It takes several trips to bear the entire amount.
But Molitia was different. She had very little in the Countâs house. Her clothes, which are mostly her sleeping clothes, and a few props. It was too simple to say that it was an item of a Countâs daughter.
But even that was precious to Molitia. It was also one of the few things she could have in her life.
She pulled out a thick envelope, looking at it as if she were reminiscing about the memories.
âMy medicineâ¦â
It must have been the medicine sent so they would never find her to be ill. Since she was young, sheâd been taking one or two pills at a time, and itâs hard to take a bite out of them.
In the Countâs house, the maids used to make a frown when the smell got bad. They gave Molitia a look of resentment.
âWhy do you have to do this to yourself?â
Molitia was always a sinner there.
Recalling the people here looking at her with sparkling eyes, Molitia hid the medicine deep in the drawer. She must hide the illness. The words kept lingering.
âDid you have a comfortable bath?â
As she left the bedroom, the butler was waiting.
âYes, the maids treated me well.â
âThey havenât been hired for long, and they did well. If you tell them, theyâll definitely like it.â
âHow long have they been here?â
âI hired them when I heard you were coming.â
She nodded at the butlerâs words. Gilbert took a step ahead and guided Molitia. Thanks to the bath, lotion, and the massage, she felt much better unless it was a pain that cannot be wholly excluded.
âHistory of our mansion is not so deep, but it is a place that the previous duchess carefully decorated.â
Gilbertâs fingertips were directed toward the corridor, which was uniquely cylindrical, and the high ceiling made the corridor feel cool.
Even though it was monotonous, it did not spare beauty in places that showed splendor. The windows were delicately decorated with traces to express light, while dark-toned wallpaper laid the light to rest.
âSometimes novelty overcomes great beauty.â
The butler seemed proud of the mansion. Molitia nodded slowly as she glanced at his young face.
âYes, itâs sturdy and beautiful.â
It was dazzling to think of the Duchess who lived there. It was obvious how much affection the architects who thought
of themselves as scholars had put into the mansion.
When Molitia complimented it, the butlerâs lips went up a little. He was worried because she was just a young lady, but
she seemed to have a good eye.
âThis is the dining room, this is the main hall, and this is the parlor. The Duke has set up a separate parlor for you.â
âReally?â
Separate bedroom to the parlor. The private bathroom and bedroom were more than enough. The thought that he was more considerate than she thought went through her head for a moment.
