Chapter 57 Samuel, the Constructor
With that, William practiced for the whole night. The following day, Gwendolyn told the servants to prepare breakfast. William had a huge appetite and finished a meal that could feed about five people.
After breakfast, he drove Mia to school. On the way to school, he asked. Mia if Janet was still bullying her. However, her answer surprised him. She told him that Janet was following her and even told the whole class that she was Miaâs sidekick. Those who hated Mia would be Janetâs enemies.
After hearing what Mia said, William nodded, knowing that Janetâs parents must have told Janet to do so.
As they arrived at the school, Mia got out of the car. Just then, a man approached them. It was Janetâs father, Samuel.
For the past few days, Samuel had been waiting by the school gate, hoping to see William. Now that Samuel finally saw him, he rushed over and smiled. âGood morning, Mr. Barrett.â
William glanced at him before turning to Mia. âGo on. Have fun studying.â
The girl hummed in response and skipped into the school gate.
After she had left, William turned around and looked at Samuel. âWhat do you want?â
âI want to apologize to you again, Mr. Barrett. Itâs my fault, and Iâm sorry!â Samuel smiled at him apologetically.
âHave they investigated the deputy director?â William looked at him coldly.
âHe has been suspended from his duties,â Samuel replied awkwardly.
âHe needs to be punished since he has done wrong, right?â asked William.

âYes, of course.â Samuel nodded his head vigorously. He truly regretted his decision and wondered why he provoked William in the first place.
âI know you are a constructor. I want to build a villa, and I need you to provide me with the supplies.â
As soon as Samuel heard that, his eyes lit up. âDonât worry, Mr. Barrett. You can count on me!â
âIf I want to build a villa, which company should I look for?â asked William. He had no clue about building houses.
âJust leave it to me, Mr. Barrett. Iâll prepare everything you need, including the drafts, construction team, and materials!â Samuel responded.
âReally?â William smiled. âIâll leave it to you, then. Come, Iâll bring you to see the place.â
With that, Samuel got into Williamâs car and went to the old manor. When he knew that William was planning to demolish the house and build a villa, he immediately gave William some suggestions. After all, he was used to this. âThis place is about a thousand square meters, I suggest you build a threeâstory villa with a yard in the front. You also need to leave. some space behind.â
After Samuel had expressed his opinion, William nodded and said, âGo. and get someone to draw it out, and I will check it. Also, please do not touch this spruce tree.â
âWe can build an automatic fence to surround the spruce tree.â Samuel smiled and looked at the tree.
When William asked about the cost, he replied, âFor the building cost, you can use the best materials, as it doesnât exceed 700 Talons for each square meter. As for furnishing, there is no limit to it. You can have it with a budget of 150 Talons or 15 thousand Talons.â
William thought for a moment and said, âI want the best furnishing.â

âI had furnished many villas for my friends. If we priced it at 1500 Talons, the total would be 2000 Talons. The building area is about 180 Talons, so the total price is about 260 million.â
After hearing his words, William thought that it was too expensive. After all, he only had 290 million to spend. Thinking about it, he asked, âWith such expensive furnishing, what material will you be using?â
âIt depends on your preferences and style. For example, some people use mahogany, ebony, and even jadeite,â replied Samuel.
âForget it. Weâll discuss the furnishing after the house is built.â William waved him off.
Then, Samuel looked around and gave many ideas, which William thought were brilliant. âIf you do this perfectly, I will treat you well,â he said.
âThank you for giving me a chance, Mr. Barrett. I will do my best!â Samuel said happily.
He was keen to start work. After accepting the demolition project, he told William that he would start working by tomorrow. Since William didnât have the spare time to look over it, he gave Samuel full responsibility for building the house. After Samuel left, he returned to the manor and met Melisenna. When he inquired where she was going, she told him she was heading out to buy fish for their meals. In that split second, William said, âYou donât have to buy it, Mom. I can catch some for you.â
âNonsense!â She shot him a look and continued, âWhere are you going to catch the fish?â
âDonât worry about it. Iâll be back soon.â He smiled. Then, he took a fishing. rod and a bucket to catch some fish.
Since Gwendolyn was curious, she followed him.
The Zuch Familyâs house was called âEastlake No. 3.â They lived in an area called East Lake and there was a lake called Little East. A park was built

beside the lake, so it was quite lively. Many elderlies like to exercise there. Since it was 8.00AM, many people were still strolling by the lake. Little East was filled with lotus, and fishes were swimming underneath it. After taking a glance, William asked Gwendolyn, âWhat type of fish do you want to eat, Gwen?â
âDo they have largemouth bass here?â asked Gwendolyn.
William smiled and stood by the lakeside. Seeing no one was around, he cast the fishing rod into the lake, and largemouth bass was caught instantly. He reeled it in and put the fish in the bucket. It was huge, seemingly to have three kilograms.
âThatâs so cool, William! Do it again!â Gwendolyn looked at him with admiration.
Immediately, he caught another five fish, and all of them weighed over two kilograms. âCome on. Letâs go home and cook some fish,â William said with satisfaction.
When they entered the front gate, they saw a car. âItâs Dad!â Gwendolyn exclaimed in delight.
Cooper had just arrived and was talking to Walter. When he saw William, he said, âThank you for your hard work, William. My father has been getting better.â
William nodded and said, âItâs fine, Mr. Zuch. Old Mr. Zuchâs recovery is almost done. He will be fully recuperated after taking the medicine for a few more days.â
âThatâs great!â Cooper nodded. Although he looked happy, his eyes were filled with a tint of sorrow.
âIs something bothering you, Mr. Zuch?â asked William.
âItâs nothing. I just got transferred to another post at my job. Itâs normal.â Cooper smiled faintly.

However, Walter immediately cut in when he heard Cooperâs words. âThere is nothing normal about it. You are being abandoned!â Then, he looked at William and explained, âCooper doesnât have any groundwork, so he is being transferred to work at a department, but itâs an armchair job. To put it bluntly, he doesnât have a chance to become an officer anymore. Itâs fine, though. Being an officer is exhausting, and it doesnât pay well. Itâs better if he quits his job and helps me with the company.â
âI still hope I can do something significant, Dad. I donât care if itâs tiring, nor does it not pay well. After all, we are rich,â Cooper said, not showing much emotion.
âYouâ Walter shook his head in frustration. âIf you had listened to me and built up relationships with others, you wouldnât have come to this point.â
Hearing their conversation, Gwendolyn explained to William, âDad insists. that he wants to become an officer on his own. However, it looks like he has made the wrong decision.â
After hearing her words, William admired Cooperâs ambition. Then, het thought momentarily before saying, âMr. Zuch, why donât we head toward Kreim when you have the spare time?â
âKreim? Why are we going there?â Cooper was confused.
âI used to treat Old Mr. Cromwell, and it is time to do a followâup on his condition,â replied William.
At that moment, Cooper knew what he meant and was shocked. Joseph and Brandon from the Cromwell Family were both people with high authority in Kreim. If Cooper could get in touch with them, there would still be hope for his future!
