A Mortalâs Medicinal Elixirs
Chapter 147 Martial Uncle
Curtis asked, âWell, did my brother offend you in any way, Mr. Snider?â
Blake waved his hand. âHe didnât. Itâs just that my martial uncle had gotten into a conflict with your brother. Theyâre going to fight in the evening.â
Curtis was flabbergasted. âWhat?! Is he your martial uncle?

Daley was astounded as well. Gosh! Blake is already a senior figure in the martial world. His martial uncle must be even more authoritative!
Curtis glared at his brother before saying, âI just found out about it. Thatâs why I told him to come back.â
Blake explained impassively, âHeâs my Great Masterâs newest disciple, and my master is protective of him. As his disciple, I certainly have to share his burden. I donât think you should fight my martial uncle tonight. If you insist, Iâll contend with you another time.â
His words were practically a threat. The Howes didnât dare to refute him as they nodded subserviently.
Blake continued, âIâm sure you know who my Great Master is.â
Curtis hurriedly replied, âOf course, Iâve heard a lot about Master Seraph.â
Blake replied. âIn that case, Iâll say no more. Daley, go and apologize to my martial uncle, and we wonât settle the score with you.â
Daley was surely displeased, for he wasnât willing to apologize to William. However, he didnât dare to say anything, for Master Seraph was a famous figure. No one had the guts to offend his disciples.
Blake and his junior brothers were all Grandmasters. What was more, they had a master who was a Warrior King.
Curtis immediately said, âIâll bring my brother to apologize to your martial uncle. Donât worry about it.â
A pleased Blake replied, âThatâs wonderful. Since youâve shown me respect, Iâll help you out in the future if you get into trouble. Iâll take my leave now. Farewell!â
Since they had talked things out, he rose from the chair and left the place while the Howes saw him off.
After getting into the helicopter, Blake sported a conflicted expression. Eventually, he ordered through clenched teeth, âGo to Asopus now!â
He didnât want to see William because he would have to salute his martial uncle. After all, he was a Grandmaster, so it would be embarrassing for him to salute a younger man.
Nevertheless, respecting the elders was crucial in his Sect. If he refused to meet his martial uncle now, his master would chastise him in the future. After giving it some thought, he still decided to visit William and see what was so special about hirm that his Great Master decided to take him on as a disciple.
Presently, William had no idea what had happened. He waited from 8.30PM to 10.00PM. I canât believe Daley stood me up! Is he afraid of me or something? No doubt he was displeased.
Since his opponent was nowhere to be seen, he decided to practice the Holy Fist in the park. He was pretty

Soon, it was 10.30PM. There was no one else in the park. Since he was engrossed in his practice, he was oblivious to the passing of time.
All of a sudden, his cars twitched. He whipped his head to the left and bellowed, âWhoâs there?â
A towering figure descended from above and extended his fist toward Williamâs head.
âA Grandmaster!â The moment William saw the personâs attack, he was astonished. His Force surged instantly as he pushed out his palm.
He quickly activated the Tathagataâs Divine Palm, and all his bones cracked. After they exchanged moves, he swiftly landed two fists and one kick on the opponent.
Boom! With the two of them as the center, an air blast swept across the place, causing all the sand and leaves on the ground to rise.
The person was sent flying away for a moment before he landed on the floor. Meanwhile, William was startled as the personâs attack was void of power, causing no harm to him. On the other hand, all of his attacks had struck the other party.
The man had a burly figure, and he looked like he was in his forties. His sixâfootâfive figure made him look intimidating. He spat out some blood and fell to his knees with a helpless smile. ââGreetings, martial uncle! My name is Blake Snider.â
Did he just call me martial uncle? William was startled for a moment before asking, âWho are you?â
Blake replied. âMy master is Miquella Ivory.â
Only then did William come to his senses. âYouâre Miquellaâs disciple? Please get up. Did I hurt you?â
He went to help Blake up. Blake got to his feet and wiped the blood from his mouth before saying with a smile, âYour move was amazing, William. If we were in the same Realm, I wouldâve been dead.â
William sighed. âWhy didnât you inform me about your visit? If I had injured you, I wouldnât have been able to explain it to your master.â
Blake appeared embarrassed. He just wanted to find out how powerful William was, so he didnât expect to be hurt, which was humiliating. However, he had to admit that William was indeed formidable.
âDonât move.â William suddenly patted the other man.
Blake asked curiously, âWhat are you doing, William?â
William explained, âI used Crimson Finger just now, so Iâm trying to reverse it.â
Blake was astounded, for he wasnât aware that he had been struck with Crimson Finger. Also, he wondered how William even cultivated Crimson Finger, for it was a notoriously difficult technique.
When William was done with it, he said, âYouâre good now.â
Blake indeed felt more relieved. He said in shock, âYour Crimson Finger is intimidating. Fortunately, Iâm not your enemy. Otherwise, Iâwouldâve been killed.â
William asked, âHow did you know I was here? You even came to find me.â

Blake briefly told him what happened. When William heard it was Miquellaâs order, he nodded. âMiquella was only worried that Iâd be hurt. In fact, Daley is weak. I can defeat him with just three moves,â
A crawling sensation spread through Blakeâs scalp as he nodded repeatedly. Thereâs no need for you to settle the score with him. The Howes are just a bunch of weaklings. If I wasnât worried that my master would lecture me, I wouldâve destroyed the Howes on your behalf.â
William waved his hand. âThereâs no need for that. Since the Howes have decided to stay out of this, I wonât settle the score with them.â
Blake said with a smile, âAlright. Just let them off the hook. By the way, do you need my help?â
William replied, âNo need. I can handle this myself
As he spoke, he suddenly hummed because he discovered three tiny needles that had been jabbed into the major acupoints on Blakeâs back.
âWhy are there needles on your back?â
Blake was shocked. âHow did you discover it, William?â
He ascended to the Innate Realm when he was 45 years old. Since he was highâspirited, he decided to challenge a famous Grandmaster named Buck Hoyles at that time. He ended up getting struck by the other partyâs NineâSpecter Palm, causing his meridians to be damaged. His entire body hurt whenever it was a gloomy day.
The injury caused his cultivation to get stuck because whenever he cultivated, his meridians would be in unbearable pain. He had looked for many doctors over the past ten years. He even sought help from his Great Master, but no one could solve his problem.
William said, âIâm a doctor, so I can tell youâre injured. Are your needles meant to ease your pain?â
Blake dipped his head. âYou have wonderful eyesight, William. The Divine Doctor, Mordred Austin, jabbed these needles into me. They work well, but I canât remove them. Otherwise, I wonât be able to bear the pain.
William shook his head. âMordredâs medical skills are amazing, but he canât heal your injury. Donât go back first. Come with me. Iâll treat your injury.â
