Sandhya was asking Surya, “Surya, can you please ask the pilot to drive faster? I can’t wait to see my daughter!”Surya controlled his tears and said, “The flight is at its full speed. Don’t worry, we will be there in a couple of hours! You sleep peacefully for sometime!”She was excited that she is gonna meet her daughter after 10 long months.Surya jolted awake from sleep and noticed Sandhya sleeping peacefully on his shoulder. His heart was at war and he started thinking about the flashback.Surya was happy that he won the tender back in the office. He received a call and it was Parvathamma. Her voice was shivering. Surya noticed the difference in her voice and said, “Auntie, what’s wrong?’“Son, Maggie was playing here and she lost consciousness all of a sudden. She fell to the ground and we took her to the hospital and the doctors are running tests now. Son, I’m terrified. Can you please come here real fast?”Surya’s heart crunched like a paper. He was shocked and said, “I will talk to the people over there. Please don’t worry! And don’t tell this to Sandhya at any cost. She won’t be able to handle it,” he said and was lost in thoughts. After a couple of seconds, he dialed his friends in the states and got to know about the situation.It was almost 6 by the time they landed. Sandhya’s eyes were filled with joy. Few people came to the airport to receive them. Sandhya kept talking about Maggie all the way while Surya, Ravi, and Rona remained dead blank. They drove to a hospital and all of them got down. Sandhya started doubting and asked, “Surya, why are we here? We have to go to the hotel, right?”He was out of words and chose to be calm. She was asking everyone but no one was answering. As she was asking, she saw Dr. Vinay coming towards them from the hospital. She ran to him and asked, “Doctor? Why are you here? What’s happening?” He couldn’t answer her and his eyes were teary. Sandhya sensed something was wrong with Maggie and she sprinited in. She was screaming Maggie all the way into the hospital and Surya tried to hold her but he couldn’t, she found Parvathamma at one corner. Parvathamma noticed her, Sandhya ran into her arms and burst into tears. She was weeping so hard that the walls seemed to have cracks.Dr. Vinay walked to Surya and said, “We are going to operate now. These are some official documents and we need you to sign! The chances of survival are very low, I hope you understand!”“Vinay, I will do anything to save her. Please save Maggie!”Parvathamma explained what happened to Sandhya and she collapsed to the ground, “Sandhya, please don’t lose your hope. Surya will take care of everything,” said Parvathamma, lifted her, and she took her to the ICU.  Maggie was in the ICU and was on the ventilator, fighting for her life. Sandhya was shivering and looked at Surya and said, “Surya, she is my daughter, Maggie. Look how she is fighting for her life.”Surya couldn’t bear Sandhya crying. She walked to him, he held her hands and said, “Surya, please save my daughter! I would do anything for her. I want my baby, please save her. I will forever be indebted to you!”Sandhya lost control over herself and collapsed outside the ICU. She sat there, weeping hard. Rona’s parents also arrived at the place and everyone was waiting while silence prevailed. The doctors performed the operation for almost 8 hours.
