Chapter 718: Chapter 729 The Masses Overthrowing the Nobles

In the Southern Region, at the Hong Kong port, a crowd was gathering around a crawling man, who’d attracted everyone’s stares and gossip, but none of their assistance.

“Holy sh*t, isn’t that Mr. Li Zhenguo?” someone piped up, finally recognizing the man before him.

Indeed, this man was none other than the famed businessman, Mr. Li. Oh my god. How did he become like this? the man exclaimed internally.

The moment he recognized Li Zhenguo, everyone started taking pictures with their phone cameras because right now, the famed Mr. Li was actually covered in wounds and seemed as if someone had severed the ligaments in his limbs; it was a sorry sight.

“Mr. Li, what happened to you? I heard you were in Jin Ling, so why are you here at the port all of a sudden?” the middle-aged man asked sympathetically. He was apparently acquainted with Li Zhenguo.

At the same time, he took out his water bottle and attempted to let the parched Li Zhenguo drink from it.

But before he could raise it to Li Zhenguo’s lips, someone kicked it away and several bodyguards in black outfits walked over with cold smiles. “Damn it, fatty! Get out of here if you don’t want to die! And stop being so nosy, unless you have a death wish!” one of them warned maliciously.

The middle-aged man wanted to protest, but stopped when he noticed that the bodyguards seemed to be someone he couldn’t afford to mess with and thus, forced himself to leave. Meanwhile, Li Zhenguo picked up the bottle to take a drink, but the bodyguard stomped on his hands and pinned it to the ground, then ground his heel until Li Zhenguo’s hands were a mess of flesh and blood.

“I told you, no water for a week! What, you’re already begging for water on the third day? Damn, and I thought you were a bigshot in the Chen Family, where you could have water handed to you on a silver platter? I’m telling you, that family will be called the Ximen Family from now on, and you will be nothing but a servant to them!” the bodyguard said. Li Zhenguo, though, was thirsty enough that he even tried drinking the spilled water. “I say, you’re that thirsty, huh? Hahaha! Let’s throw him in the river, boys, and see if he can live to swim up here again! What do you say?” the bodyguard asked.

The others replied in unison, “Alright!”

At the same time, Chen Hao had just left the island in the Southeastern Ocean and was just passing Hong Kong on the way to return to the Chen residence’s island when he saw the bodyguards. At the time, though, he didn’t want to interfere in other people’s business.

However, he was about to pass them when he heard Li Zhenguo’s cries of agony. He thought he had misheard it, but when he turned to take a closer look, he realized that it really was Li Zhenguo himself!

But how could this be possible? Chen Hao’s eyelids twitched and he materialized in front of them.

“Zhenguo!” Chen Hao shouted in disbelief. When they met a few days ago, Zhenguo had been taking care of the asset transfers in Jin Ling and he’d been completely fine. What happened?

When Li Zhenguo heard Chen Hao’s call, he looked up shakily and instantly teared up. “Y-Young Master Chen?” It was as if he finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

“What happened?” Chen Hao asked hastily.

“It was the Gu Family and the King of Nine Doors. They took over the Chen residence, handed it to the Ximen Family in Thai City and took all our assets! I was taken here because I opposed them!” Li Zhenguo cried out.

“Hmm, who’s this? Could he be that Young Master Chen the Gu Family’s been looking for?” The bodyguards exchanged excited glances; the Gu Family had ordered the Ximen Family to torture everyone associated with the Chen Family specifically to lure this Chen Hao out and capture him. Now that this fellow had presented himself, they basically had fame and fortune in the bag after they managed to capture him.

“Who else did you Ximen people take? Where’s my uncle, Chen Pingan and the others?” It seemed like the Chen Family was indeed in trouble. Chen Hao didn’t expect the Gu Family and the King of Nine Doors to follow him all the way here.

In that moment, he looked at the three bodyguards with unbridled rage.

The bodyguards burst out laughing. “Is this idiot trying to ask us something?”

Another one chimed in mockingly, “Yeah, and he even looks angry?”

Chen Hao frowned, then immediately smacked one of the bodyguards’ forehead with his palm. With a boom, the guard’s head blew up as if he’d been hit by a missile.

“Ahh!” The crowd dispersed immediately, leaving behind the two dumbfounded bodyguards.

“F*cking hell! He’s that strong? We can’t possibly beat him!” The two men exchanged terrified glances.

No wonder the Gu Family was going all out to get him! He was so strong!

“I’m warning you for the last time. What happened?” Chen Hao asked icily.

“Hmph, as if we’d tell! Even if we did, you’d kill us immediately so if we keep quiet, then—”

Poof! Chen Hao flicked his fingers, instantly blowing their heads up before they could finish.

After that, he turned to Li Zhenguo who was in pain. “Zhenguo, let me heal you!” Then, with a twist of his body, Chen Hao brought him to a forest.

Naturally, Chen Hao wouldn’t need to heal him the way he used to; immediately, he closed his eyes as the God’s Eye slowly appeared and covered Li Zhenguo in a beam of golden light. Then, astonishingly, Li Zhenguo’s wounds visibly started to heal.

When that golden light disappeared, Li Zhenguo could already feel his body changing before he turned to look at Chen Hao, not with respect or reverence, but as if he was looking at a demon.

“Young Master Chen… How?!” He then fell silent—he was completely healed.

“We can talk about that later. What happened to the Chen Family?” Chen Hao asked. So, Li Zhenguo began explaining the whole incident.

As it turned out, the trouble started 5 days ago when the King of Nine Doors and the Gu Family showed up to capture Chen Pingan, Fang Jiannan and the others before confiscating all of the family’s assets and dragging Li Zhenguo here for trying to resist. One of their pawns in this plan was the Ximen Family from Thai City.

Now, the Ximen Family had practically become the tyrants of Hong Kong, torturing the Chen Family and its associates with all sorts of methods. “What’s more, when they heard that Miss Fang Jiannan was your fiance, the eldest heir of their family sold her to a bar as a server to humiliate her. Rumor has it that they’ve set up all sorts of traps at the Chen residence in hopes that you’ll fall for it,” Li Zhenguo said, telling Chen Hao everything he knew.
