YOUR POV

All of you, plus a few agents of SHIELD, were gathered in the compound dancing and having fun. Tony was throwing another party, something everyone seemed to enjoy and it certainly was the talk around the city.

How could some people not know with the way the different colored lights flashed out the frosted windows on New York's chilly nights.

This party didn't have a specific occasion other than Tony thought that we should all take a moment to have fun and let loose before Steve sent us on any missions. Or the world was being threatened once more.

"Can I put magnets on your arm, Buck?" I asked the other super solider next to me, bringing my beer glass to my lips.

Bucky chuckled, "If you want to."

"Yes! I'm going to put little messages on there for you everyday." I cheered, smiling at one of my best friends.

A small blush appeared on the super soldiers face, like he was a little kid once more. It was honestly cute and I'm glad that we had Bucky back with us. Steve was especially great full to have his best friend and lover back.

"I'm going to go get the magnets right now!" I rushed off towards the kitchen, dodging a very drunk Rhodey on the way.

I grabbed the magnets off the fridge door and turned around to go back to my friend.

"Where ya going?" Clint, my brother, asked me looking down at the magnets in my arms.

"I'm going to write a message on Buckys arm with these." I replied.

"You're not over there asking Nat on a date!?" His eyes bugged out of his head.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Barton." I avoided eye contact with him, shuffling on my feet as I felt my face began to get hot.

"Come on." My brother slung his arm over my shoulder and pulled me towards the bar, the action surprised me and I dropped all the magnets on the floor.

"Clint!" I hissed, shoving him off me. "I can't just waltz right over there and ask her out!"

"Why not? It's not that hard." He scoffed.

"Not that hard? Have you seen her!? Do you even have eyes!?" I whispered harshly even though it was pointless, the music was so loud I could barely hear myself think.

"Yes I have eyes! Look, I know she looks intimidating but Nats sweet and soft on the inside." My brother gripped my shoulder.

"I can't flirt for the life of me, Clint. Besides, she looks like she's having fun with Bruce." I gestured towards the pair sitting at the bar.

Bruce whispered something in her ear which caused the read head to toss her head back with a laugh before bringing her beer to her lips. It was no secret so some of the Avengers that Bruce had taken a liking to Natasha, and some believed she felt the same. Although, with the flirting you two (well more so her because you can't flirt) had been doing the past few weeks, made some, you included, think differently.

"Look, just go over there and start a conversation. I know you like her and I know she likes you too." Clint smiled reassuringly.

"Just because you two are bffs doesn't mean she has to tell you everything. Her romantic interests included." I mumbled.

"I just want you to be happy and I know she'll make you happy."

"If I do this then you have to go and ask Pietro our." I smirked at my older brother.

Clint's face went pale before a small pink tint covered his cheeks. "Fine!" He tossed his head back.

"Okay so what do I do about Bruce over there?" I asked him, slinging my arm over his shoulders even though he was a few inches taller than me.

"I got that taken care of." He cracked his neck before walking towards the two sitting at the bar.

I watched as they both greeted Clint, all of them having a conversation for a few moments. Eventually Clint said something to Bruce who followed Clint somewhere in the compound, leaving Natasha all alone at the bar.

I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding, it coming out shaky before I walked towards her with as much confidence I could muster up.

"Hey, Nat." I smiled at the red head, popping open a fresh beer from behind the counter.

Black widow turned around in the bar stool, beer of her own in hand with an amused look on her face.

"When are you going to ask me out?" Her perfectly sculpted eyebrows raised before she took a sip of her beer.

"Uhhh..." My mouth went dry before I finished my alcohol drink in two gulps, "How did you know?" I chuckled nervously, grabbing another drink.

"Come on y/n, we've been shamelessly flirting the past few weeks. Plus I caught you and Clint staring over here while talking pretty animately so I took a wild guess." The avenger replied with a smirk prominent on her plump lips that were covered with distractingly red lipstick.

"I guess I should give you more credit then." I chuckled, getting more comfortable on the bar stool.

It was silent for a few moments as you felt her intense and lust filled gaze boring into the side of your face.

"How come you just didn't ask me yourself?" You broke the tension that was quickly forming, smirking at her.

Natasha shrugged, "It's cute to watch you get flustered when I call you pet names... princess."

Of course you only proved her point when you ducked your head as a pink tint began covering your cheeks.

"How do I know you're not saying this because your slightly tipsy?" I raised my eyebrow at her, taking another sip of my beverage.

Nat smiled, showing her pearly white teeth, "Baby, no amount of alcohol could make me forget about you or our first date."

"That was cheesy Romanoff." You giggled, "But alright. Natasha, would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?"

Maybe it was the alcohol coursing through your veins, or the intoxicating euphoria you felt when you stared deeply into her forest green eyes. Either way, you asked the girl you've been crushing on for quite some time on date without stuttering or making an absolute fool of yourself.

"I'd love to. Stop by my room at 7, моя любовь." The fiery red head leaned forward in her seat and whispered in my ear, goosebumps traveling down my body.

Your breath hitched audibly in your throat when Nat pulled away, getting up from her seat to walk somewhere else in the compound. Possibly to her room with the amount of drinks she's had.

You smiled to yourself, taking another drink of the cold beer in your hands. You saw your brother sitting next to Pietro on the couch with an arm wrapped around him from behind. Clint smiled widely at you, giving you a thumbs up. You laughed to yourself before giving him a thumbs up back.

Getting up from the bar still you finished your drink and left it on the counter, knowing Tony would probably use his suits to clean the place up tomorrow. You smiled all the way to your room, excited that you had a date with Natasha Romanoff tomorrow.

You couldn't wait.
