"I have to go." Natasha told me as she stood in my doorframe.
"You just got back." My shoulders slumped as I felt my eyes start to well up with tears, "Christmas is in two weeks."
"I know... I'm sorry. But it's just for a few days."
"Hopefully." I mumbled under my breath knowing sometimes these missions lasted longer than a few days.
"I'll make it up to you when I get back. We can do everything on your Christmas bucket list, okay?"
I nodded my head, trying to smile at her but all that came out was a grimace.

I squealed when Nat tackled me in a hug on our bed, giggling into her shoulder as she held me tighter against her body still clad in her mission suit.
"I missed you so much." She sighed, kissing my neck softly.
"I missed you too. How was the mission?" I asked, wiping some of the dirt off her cheek.
"Longer than I would have liked buttt... oh, well would you look at that." Nat smirked as her green eyes drifted upwards. I followed her gaze and my breath caught in my throat when I saw she was holding a mistletoe above my head.
"Guess you have to kiss me properly this time." I teased.
"I'm good with that." Nat smiled as she leaned in and captured my lips in her own.

Just like Nat promised we did everything on my Christmas bucket list. From making a snow man to cuddling by the fire. Even Parker wanted to join in on the snowball fight we had going on. It was nice to be with Nat again during this holiday season before she was sent away on another mission and I had to sleep in our bed alone.
I didn't need any gifts as long as I had Natasha by my side safe and keeping me warm. She was my greatest gift and I didn't want to lose her anytime soon.
