Chapter 64: chapter 59

"dad....I" Marco started.

Rafael looked at him, but so did his brothers.

"Skye go sit with Alex and James okay"  he whispered.

"But I want to be with you. I know what you're going to say, I don't want you to feel alone"  Skye whispered.

Marco smiled "sit back next to me then please" he wanted to make sure he could leave the room fast enough. Skye sat back on the sofa.

"Dad I was raped by him. I tried to fight him. I swear I tried. But he was too strong. I promise I did everything to stop him"

Rafael didn't know what he was expecting but it certainly wasn't that. He was furious.

He wanted to kill the man.

"Oh my sweet sweet boy. I know you tried. I love you. Its okay. You're safe too. You're safe now"  Rafael said and quickly hugged his son.

Lorenzo and Leo shared a knowing look. They were planning the death of someone who was dead.

Alex and James shared a look. They were never sexually abused but they knew how hard it must have been to admit that.

Nico was quiet. He wanted to hug his brother but since their dad was hugging him and didn't look to be ready to let go any time soon he just sat quietly.

Lorenzo's anger seemed to increase though as he replayed the words over. He stood up and everyone looked over at him.

He didn't say a thing, he stormed out.

"He hates me, I'm weak, I'm pathetic, I'm disgusting" Marco said hugging his dad tighter.

"You are none of those things and he doesn't hate you" Rafael comforted.

"Kids can you leave please" Rafael said still holding his son.

They all started to leave.  Skye was hesitant and for the first time Alex didn't bother knowing how she was feeling. But she leave, Marco saw she wasn't right next to Alex. "Alex" he called .

Alex paused and looked over. "Don't let her hide in her room alone" he said.

He knew it was probably wrong for him to leave that to Alex but Alex and James knew everything, they could support her better.

"What the fuck was that" Leo said when he walked into the room Lorenzo was in.

"What? Do you expect me to sit whilst my brother admits he was abused sexually " Lorenzo snapped picking up the first thing he saw, a glass vase and he threw it against the wall.

"He thinks you hate him now so yes I do expect you to just sit" Leo snapped.

"Some fucker hurt my little brother and I'm meant to just accept it. No. I don't care if Marco said he's dead. I'm going to find everyone the sick bastard associated with and kill them all. Every single one. And then until I see the body of  him, I will hunt him down and kill him for what he did to my brother" Lorenzo yelled.

Maybe a bit too loud because the triplets heard. And at first they wanted to run. Despite not saying it out loud they wanted them all dead.

"Are you sure he's dead Skye" Alex asked as they stood outside the door.

" Marco shot him then we ran. We didn't have time to check"

Alex nodded. The man had raped Skye and he wanted to kill him himself but he was only 14, he wasn't strong enough. But now he was out of prison and he had done the same to Marco. He wanted his brother to kill him . And he hated that he agreed with what Lorenzo was yelling.

"We need to tell them a name" Skye whispered.

Alex didn't really acknowledge her instead he walked in the room with his siblings trailing behind.

"Leave" Leo stated seeing them.  Lorenzo was too busy yelling about different ways he'd kill people and the triplets didn't need to hear.

"If I give you a name will you check he's dead" Alex asked.

Lorenzo stopped after hearing this. He stared at Alex and nodded slowly.

"Skye says they never checked for a pulse, they just ran" Alex stated.

"Give me the name Alexander "

Alex gulped. He never saw Lorenzo as someone who could scare him but right now it was a whole new level.

"His name was Kevin" Alex replied.

"How the fuck is that suppose to help their are millions of Kevin's. Give me a last name" Lorenzo snapped. He didn't mean to be harsh but he couldn't help it.

"We don't have a last name for you" Alex said, he was about to say he knew how the man could be Ided but was cut off by Lorenzo.

"Well Alexander you've helped so fucking much. Really. It truly is a wonder how you got into that school, a school that only allows the smartest people and you give me a first name and expect me to find him"

"Lorenzo stop. He's just trying to help. They are kids. You're angry, you need to apologize and go calm down "  Leo said

"Calm down? Fuck off Leo" Lorenzo snapped as he glared at Alex.

Alex was always his protector but seeing Alex look down, in fear and disappointment that he couldn't help, James walked towards Lorenzo and stood in front of him. Leo was about to pull him away but stopped in shock when he spoke.

"You're angry I understand that, but you do not get to talk to my brother like that. Alex has done so much and he doesn't deserve your crap. I don't care if you want to lash out but don't ever speak to Alex like that again"

Turns out for two 14 year olds, Alex and James could be quite intimidating.

"James is right.  Alex has always tried his best to protect us but he never spoke to us like that. You're angry Marco got raped but right now he thinks you hate him. You have no idea what it's like to go through something like that and have the courage to tell someone. You are going to apologize to Marco too and tell him you don't hate him"

Scratch two 14 years olds being intimating, all three were.

Leo looked at Skye, she wasn't as intimidating as her brothers because of the broken expression on her face.   He was the first to realise what Marco had said. Everyone was too shocked or angry to realise, except Alex and James who knew.

Marco took the abuse so she didn't have to.

They were in the same room.

Skye saw.

"I apologise Alexander, my anger was uncalled for. My not so little brother was raped and I want someone to pay" Lorenzo calmly explained in his apology.

Alex understood. The amount of times he got angry when Skye or James got hurt.

"You're forgiven but please go tell Marco you don't hate him" Alex said. He didn't like Marco yet but he never wished him to suffer and he knew how important it had been for Skye to hear from James and himself how she wasn't disgusting.

Lorenzo silently walked out ending the conversation.

"Skye" Leo said.

Skye looked at him dreading the question.

"You saw it happen to him didn't you" Leo's voice broke as he said that.

Skye nodded and Alex wrapped her in a hug.

"Skye do you want to talk about anything" he asked.

She shook her head.

"Please can you leave us to talk things through" Alex asked knowing the full truth needed to come out .

"Of course. I'm always here for the three of you. I don't feel comfortable just leaving you like this but I know you need space so I'll come check on you in a bit. I need to go find Marco anyway"

"We'll be in Skye's room" James said knowing they would most likely fall asleep in the same room tonight.

"Got it, I'll come check on you in a bit "

When they made their way to Skye's room. Alex spoke "we need to tell them the whole truth. They will find out eventually. But now after what that monster did to Marco and tried to with Skye, we need to put an end to it all"

Meanwhile.

Lorenzo wanted to apologize, he really did but when he entered the living room, Marco and Rafael were hugging, with Marco crying.

"Marco I apologize for storming out, I didn't want to display my anger. I want to kill anyone associated with that bastard. You are my baby brother, you got hurt and because of that I got angry. We may arque and fight but no one will get away with doing this to you. I don't hate you, you're an idiot sometimes but you're also incredibly strong" Lorenzo eventually said.

Marco looked up at him. His eldest brother who could have stopped Skye being hurt and killed the men before they hurt him. "I'm disgusting and weak, I couldn't stop him"

"But you did stop him. You are not disgusting. You are brave and strong. I have no idea what you're going through but I can only make it easier for you by telling you how I still love you"

Marco sniffled he hated acting like this but he was vunerable right now.

"One time hug?" Lorenzo offered.

Marco smiled and left his father's embrace to hug Lorenzo.

"You're stronger than me but tell anyone and I'll deny it" Lorenzo whispered.

Leo came in when they parted from the hug.

"My baby brother " he said in a tone that came across like Marco was a little kid.

Leo wasted no time hugging his brother. He didn't say anything just hugged him.

When they parted he finally spoke "I am incredibly proud of you, if you didn't kill that monster I'd be chopping him up into little bits right now"

Marco felt relief knowing his older brothers didn't hate him but he found his way back to his dad's embrace.

"I hate to be that person but Skye mentioned a name to Alex and James and Alex told us a few minutes ago. They don't have a last name, do you have any idea what his last name was?" Lorenzo explained.

"No" he replied.

"We'll handle it later Lorenzo let's just focus on family for now" Rafael said dismissing it.

He wanted to torture him to death and anyone involved but he knew Marco needed reassurance.

"Why aren't you disgusted in me? You all should hate me. Do you pity me?" Marco asked directing it mostly to his brothers.

Lorenzo knew he probably shouldn't be so comforting as it came off as pity so he rolled his eyes "you know I hate pity besides I could never pity you" he said with the usual tone he held.

"He's right. We don't do pity. You're no exception"  Leo added.

"Do you hate me"

"Absolutely not" Rafael quickly hugged him tighter.

"No. Never" Leo said in his usual kind tone.

"You're a little shit Marco, but don't worry little brother I don't hate you yet....crash my car again and then we'll talk"  Lorenzo said.

He knew Marco needed comfort but they had a strange relationship and he knew being really comforting  would be off putting so he added the usual insults to give him a sense of normality.

And it worked because Marco smirked "no promises" he said.

Lorenzo smiled "did I mention you were a little shit "

"Almost every day" Marco grinned.

"I'm proud of you Marco " and with that Lorenzo left.

It may have been a different approach but it was the approach he needed. He needed to know they loved him and wouldn't treat him any different, and that's exactly what Lorenzo showed him.

Okay so it's finally all starting to come out. I read all the comments on the last chapter. I know alot of you wanted him to just tell his dad, I agree it should have just been his dad as it's personal. But he needed the reassurance from his brothers mostly. It was more of a now or never when he told everyone. And he definitely wouldn't be able to admit it twice so he just said it. Its his brothers response he was more concerned about.

And yes I'll be exploring Alex a little next.

My plan which I may not follow is to explore their trauma  individually and then together.
