My lilting fingers trace the blurry shades of blue

Black locks swim and swing and swoon

The hot orangesicle sunshine drips onto my dreams

While the radio whizzes to a lilting coon

I dip under the blue, swimming in the crystal cyan gleams

Limbs dance to the rhythms of the shy waves

They bashfully sway as I sink, bubbles floating toward the sky

My paper white body bobbles and bathes

The sky dims and the pool fades to an indigo dye

Dipping in and out, I wish to remain

Peace it fills, ever still and true

Memories sift through my brain

My lifeless fingers trace the blurry shades of blue
