Chapter 119: Chapter 119 - ’I’m Back’

At the hospital.

Today was Si Yan’s first day of transferring from the Intensive Care Unit to a normal ward. Lin Nan had been in and out of the ward several times in the morning!

Fu Zhen looked at Lin Nan. “If there’s nothing else, you should go back and rest! There are still so many doctors on duty here, you don’t have to stay here any longer!” He patted Lin Nan’s shoulder. “You’ve worked hard these past few days, Brother! Thank you!”

Lin Nan smiled and gave him a punch. “What are you talking about! We don’t need these things between us!”

Fu Zhen looked at him and smiled. “Okay! When we’re done with this period of time, I’ll treat you to a drink!”

“Hmph! This isn’t something that can be solved with just one or two meals!” Lin Nan snorted and stretched out three fingers. “At least this many meals!”

Fu Zhen nodded. “Sure! Pick a place!”

“That straightforward?”

Fu Zhen looked at him. “It’s indeed hard work. You deserve it! Don’t be modest!”

Lin Nan was slightly surprised. “This isn’t your style, Brother! Where’s the blood of your capitalists? Aren’t you going to haggle?”

Looking at Lin Nan’s funny expression, Fu Zhen gave him a punch. “Stop fooling around! Hurry up and go back to sleep!”

Fu Zhen watched him leave and turned around to sit next to Si Mi. “Lin Nan has really helped out a lot this time. When the baby is born, let’s let the baby acknowledge him as his godfather! In the future, when it’s the New Year’s, we can even give the baby some pocket money to spend!” He held Si Mi’s hand. He kissed her and asked, “What do you think?”

The sun shone in from outside the window. Accompanied by a gentle breeze, Si Mi’s little finger moved slightly. Fu Zhen saw it and looked at Si Mi excitedly, hoping that Si Mi could open her eyes as he had imagined in the next second!

Si Mi’s long eyelashes moved slightly. Then, she slowly opened her eyes. Fu Zhen carefully blocked a part of the light for her. He looked at her gently and lovingly and said to her, “You’re awake.”

Fu Zhen suppressed the excitement and joy in his heart and only looked at her with deep affection. It seemed that Si Mi had only woken up after a long sleep!

Si Mi looked at him and smiled gently. She stretched out her arm. Fu Zhen immediately understood and held her waist. He lifted her up from the bed and locked her in his arms!

“You slept for a long time! I almost couldn’t wait any longer!” Fu Zhen’s voice was low, suppressing his heavy sadness and longing!

Tears rolled down Si Mi’s eyes and she cried silently. She hid herself in Fu Zhen’s arms and said, “I’m back!”

She had been trapped in that place for five days. She had listened to Fu Zhen’s words patiently just now and suddenly felt that she could move. When she opened her eyes, she saw that Fu Zhen’s eyes were filled with joy! She was pleasantly surprised that she could control this body again!

Si Mi’s tears flowed uncontrollably. Fu Zhen’s heart ached as he looked at her. He kissed the corner of her mouth and used his hand to wipe away the tears on her face. He said gently, “Alright, don’t cry anymore! Your face won’t look good if you cry!”

Si Mi hugged him and did not let go. “But! I missed you so much and I was so scared!”

“What’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?” Fu Zhen asked.

Si Mi nodded heavily. “A very long nightmare!” This was indeed a very scary and long nightmare. No one could understand Si Mi’s helplessness and loss these few days!

In that place, she was like a soul abandoned by the human world. She could see and feel the people and things around her! But no one could sense her and respond to her!

“It’s good that you’re awake! It’s good that you’re awake. I’m here! I’m here for everything!” Fu Zhen touched the back of her head and coaxed her softly!

Si Mi raised her head slightly and kissed the corner of his mouth. She gave him a smile that was full of dependence. “You’ve worked hard these past few days, hubby! I love you!”

Fu Zhen looked at her red eyes as she called out to him, saying that she loved him! The man’s heart bloomed with joy, and the smile on his face could no longer be hidden. “I know! I love you too! I’ll always love you!”

The light and shadow shone into the room, and the two figures were very close together, as if they wanted to melt each other into their own flesh and blood! Let each other be completely yours!

The two people hugged and kissed for a while, and Fu Zhen wiped the tears off her face and asked, “Are you hungry? I’ll ask Auntie Sun to bring you some good food!”

Si Mi smiled and said, “Sure! But let’s go and see Brother first!”
