Chapter 8: chapter 8

Rakesh was inside one of the room's, working remotely. Shally went to Rakshita's room and urged Rakshita to come outing with her. Rakshita denied stating that are more people at home and they would all enquire them if they see them going out. But Shally insisted that she will take her out without anyone's knowledge. She also kept a puppy face, which she clearly know Rakshita wouldn't deny and told they had only few days left for her parting and she wanted to make it more memorable. Rakshita finally agreed and took her through the backside door. They took Shally's bike and went to the park. When Rakshita faced Shally questioningly, she just shrugged and said that she wants to talk to her.  They both went and sat on a bench under a tree and Shally bought hot and spicy samosas for them to have.Nikita called Rakesh and told she got lost in the city and doesn't know how to reach home. Rakesh got terrified and asked her to share her live location and told her to wait there and so he could reach her. He took his car and left the house. Google map she shared led him to the park. He went inside and searched for Nikita which left him to stand in a pathway that leads to a bench under a tree where Rakshita was seated. As soon as he saw her, he approached her. Shally holding her phone stating that she got a call moved away from Rakshita and now she was alone. As soon as Rakesh went near Rakshita, she looked shocked and looked either side to see if anyone has accompanied him. But no one was there. He smiled at her and sat on the bench. Shally and Nikita who were hiding behind the samosa stall hi-fi ed each other and left the park. Rakesh asked Rakshita why she was here and she told that she came with Shally and as she was nowhere in sight, she dialled her number and Shally apologized that she got an emergency and need to leave immediately and told Rakshita to reach home safely. She thought something is strange with Shally but remained quiet. By the time Rakesh called Nikita and she told that she has already reached home and asked him to comeback. Only then they both realised it was their plan to make them meet. Both smiled at eachother and only Rakesh realised this was the same park where he saw Rakshita and he was glad that he is seated with the same girl who made his heart flutter and now seated beside him as his to-be-wife. The climate was too cloudy and they could feel the rainy breeze. So Rakesh asked whether they can leave and stood up. They both walked out from the park and went to his car. He opened the door for Rakshita and closed it once she got in and walked to the driver's seat. Since it was eary evening and peak hour, they got held up in traffic. They were listening to ARR songs and suddenly Rakesh's stomach growled. He was little embarrassed  and asked Rakshita whether it's okay to have something to eat before they reach home as he had skipped lunch. She felt sorry for him and told she will take him to a famous diner there. Rakesh parked the car infront a small restaurant accompanied with a bakery that Rakshita pointed. They both went in and gave their orders. Rakshita took him to the booth window side which gave a nice view of the outside and the ambience was already too good. Rakesh made a note of the kind of places Rakshita liked. Once their food arrived, they started eating, talking in between about the food and restaurants. Rakshita filled him about the various restaurants that are good around the area and the varieties of food they served. He realised that for the first time he has seen Rakshita talking with so much passion without any barriers between them. Then something strike his mind and he asked about her qualification and was stunned to know that she had completed her bachelor's in catering and did her master's specialized in baking from the France University. Now he realised how she got to learn about all this in detail, which usually other never mind about. He was intrigued by her passion for baking. He asked her why she hadn't thought of having her own restaurant and that question made her mute. Realising he had touched the wrong button, he changes the topic appreciating the food and stuff which brought light to her face once again. Once the bill was paid, they walked out. Restaurant had a beautiful pond and a walking area that streched for mile which made it even more remote and desirable. As the traffic was still up and the climate was too good, Rakesh suggested to stroll and she agreed. They stood near the pond and watched the ducks moving and the lotus and so on. It was too breezy, so Rakshita crossed her hands over her chest and looking at that, Rakesh roomed his hoodie and wrapped it around her. For a moment she became still at the gesture and looked at him sideways. His eyes too caught hers and for the first time he observed her face from mere inches away and he wanted to hold her face in his hands and wanted to feel the touch of her skin against his. His eyes dropped down to her lips and suddenly he felt like kissing her but refrained himself from doing so. He felt nostalgic towards this moment, as if they weren't meeting just from a month ago but they were meant to be together forever. He caught Rakshita gazing at him and moved his hands away and stepped an inch further. He cleared his throat and asked is it okay to leave. She nodded and they left the restaurant.Once they are back in car, ARR song start playing again. Rakshita eyes were glued outside the window and Rakesh drove in silence. Her hair was moving in the wind. She tucked a hair behind her ear and kept her on her thighs but unknowingly it got placed on the car gear. The same moment Rakesh touched to change the gear and held her hand. Both of them were shocked and looked at each other. Rakshita felt awkward and removed her quickly. Rakesh smiled, but he loved the way her hand felt against his. In silence they reached home. Rakshita as soon as she hopped down from the car gave the hoodie back to Rakesh. He bid her bye and she went in first. He held the hoodie near his chest and he could smell his hoodie smelling like her all rose and strawberry.
