After Jim was dragged away, it was very quiet in the room. Blanca and Matthew looked at each other. They got to awkward silence for a moment, and then Blanca first spoke. âLetâs talk about that,â she said calmly. What just happened here was partially her fault. She had known Jim had a thing for her, but she let her guard down in front of him.
Matthew raised an eyebrow, looking mildly surprised. He sat down on a couch and cross his legs. âGo ahead.â said Matthew, looking extremely grave.
Looking at Matthew, Blanca seemed almost nervous for she knew he was good at negotiation. She cleared her throat and summoned the courage to say, âI think you havenât forgot our relationship, Matthew! I help you keep away from blind dates and you help me find my family. This is our relationship.â
âYes. And then?â Matthew said, impassive.
âSo, as agreed, there is something you need to do. Louise asked Clark to take away my pendant. You need to get it back.â Blanca got angry when she came to think about it.
