After ending the call, Mabel couldn’t bring herself to calm down, for she knew that she had to strike that very night and there was no room for failure.

Looking at the drunk Rodney, Mabel covered him with a blanket before going off to prepare something to sober him up. While doing so, she spiked the soup she made.

After a dazed Rodney was forced to finish the soup, he began to feel his body burn and even had hallucinations. Mabel cracked a faint smile at him before unbuttoning his shirt and climbing onto his bed. After making out for a while, she lay beside him and stared at him in elation.

The very first time she laid eyes on him in Axel’s home, she fell head over heels for him. Subsequently, her desire for him increased after hearing Axel’s wife describe his family situation.

When she heard a sudden knock on the door, she asked, “Who is it?”

“Angelique, it’s me. Are you still up?”

“What is it?” “I have something important to tell you. Please open the door.” After Angelique got out of bed and opened the door, she asked, “What’s the matter?”

“This is serious. Let’s talk inside.” Even though Angelique was suddenly seized by a sense of dread, she still allowed Mabel to enter.

Angelique eyed Mabel in disbelief. Thinking back to how the three of them interacted with each other and the way Rodney treated Mabel, she couldn’t see that Rodney had any feelings for Mabel at all.

“Don’t you believe me? I have more pictures here. Would you like to see them?”

Mabel had scarcely spoken when she showed Angelique the compromising pictures that she had just taken.

Staring that the shocking photos, Angelique fell silent as if she was frozen in stone.

After putting her phone aside, Mabel could tell from the look on Angelique’s face that the photos had dealt the latter a crushing blow.

“Honestly, I don’t even know why Mr. Simpson likes me that much. He claims that it was love at first sight. He also tells me that I’m the one he loves the most. Unfortunately, he is married to you and has children with you.

Since his business is currently in ascendance, a divorce would have a negative impact on the company.
