Chapter 1846 Going To The Cabin
After they packed up, they left for the airport in the evening.
On the way, Davin reminded them repeatedly that this was not a leisure trip. âLook, the place we are going to is not luxurious by any means, and you will not be waited on hand and foot as you were at Seet Residence,â he informed in an attempt to get them mentally prepared.
âIs it that bad? Where are we going to?â
âYouâll find out when we get there.â
A terrible scene appeared in Zaydenâs mind. He had seen that scene in books before. It was a place where one could not find anything to eat, and there would be ferocious beasts there.
He then described that scene with his own adorable words and asked Davin if it were the same.
Davin thought of the cabin that they were about to live in. He also thought of those people hankering after the treasure and hunting for Zaydenâs blood. They are pretty much the same kind of beasts that Zayden is talking about. Hence he nodded and said, âYeah, thatâs about right.â
Zayden was completely taken aback.
Oh my gosh, is Daddy bringing me to some beastsâ lair?
âDaddy, can we not go to the beastsâ lair? Can we change to another destination? Somewhere more fun?â
Comparatively, Joy was rather quiet. Her bright eyes shone as she chimed in, âItâs fine to be in the beastsâ lair. We might be able to learn a skill or two from them! Wolves can be so capable!â
âArenât you afraid that they would eat us?â
âThey are animals, and we are human beings. We are more intelligent than they are. Donât be afraid; I believe that the wolves are not our equals at all!â
There was still lingering fear in Zaydenâs eyes.
Davin watched them from the sidelines and felt that Zayden was so far behind Joy when it came to their energy levels. Indeed, it was quite unfathomable that his son possessed Girin Blood based on his aptitude alone.
After that, he sighed and spoke his mind to Sheila. Sheila merely rolled her eyes at him and stated, âThere are other more unbelievable things in this world. It might just be that we have not discovered Zaydenâs talents yet.â
Davin observed further and felt that his sonâs talents were too obscure for him to notice.
They alighted at the airport and hired a car to Daemonic Mount. After that, they walked hurriedly to the cabin.
On the way, Sheila scrutinized their surroundings. Joy and Zayden looked around curiously as well.
âDaddy, are we about to go up the mountain? How many wolves are there up here?â
âWe wonât be going up to the summit right now. We will be going to the cabin first!â Davin said.
âWhatâs a cabin?â Joy asked curiously.
âItâs a place where everyone used to live together. Once we get there, we will see your parents, together with Juan!â
Joy had not expected to see her parents at all. Her clear eyes brimmed with tears as she asked, âUncle Davin, will I really get to see Daddy and Mommy?â
âOf course! Hang on for a little while longer, and we will arrive at the cabin soon!â
When Joy heard that, she was so motivated that she picked up her pace.
When the cabin began to appear in front of them, Davin pointed it out to them and said, âThere it is! Right in front of us!â
Joy was so eager to see her parents that she ran toward the cabin with her arms open wide like a huge bird. Zayden followed her from behind.
Sheila stared at the rundown cabin as it was far from what she had imagined. âI really did not expect you all to stay in a place like this.â
âItâs already good enough that these cabins shelter us from the rain. If you are not used to this, you can stay in a hotel in the small town.â
âNo need. Since everyone is here, I can stay here too!â
As they chatted, they walked toward the cabin. Meanwhile, Joy and Zayden had already pushed the door open.
Damien was incredibly surprised to see them. âHow did the two of you get here?â
âUncle Davin brought us here. Where are my daddy and mommy?â
âMrs. Seet is inside while Mr. Evan has left with Levant. Just come in quickly. Mrs. Seet will be so happy to see you!â
âWho is that, Damien?â Nicole asked curiously.
Joy piped up, âMommy, itâs us!â
