Chapter 1631 Melanie Tries To Explain
âMelanie, mind your words. Youâre the one who knocked on my door and chatted with me for quite a while. After that, you insisted on entering my room and rekindling our romantic moments,â he mumbled subtly.
Melanie was at a loss for words to refute.
Next, the man flashed her a casual smile. âIt doesnât matter if you feel too awkward to admit that you were the one who made the first move last night. After all, we had gone through seven rounds last night. Youâre mine now!â
The impact of his words was disastrous. Undeniably, facts could not be denied. The overwhelming fact was enough to give Stephen a blow, and he would not accept Melanie again.
âStop bluffing! Iâm not yours! Iâm Stephenâs woman! I belong to him forever, dead or alive!â Melanie advanced toward Stephen and was about to grab hold of his arm, but he dodged swiftly.
She swallowed her pride and gazed at him pitifully. âStephen, Iâm your girlfriend. I vowed to be by your side for the rest of my life. No matter what, I wonât part with you! Even death canât separate us!â No matter what, I canât break up with Stephen! I love him so much! If I break up with him, the despicable vixen will surely stand to benefit! No way! I canât let that happen!
Dead silence ensued the place.
Stephenâs grim face was devoid of expression. He did not even spare her any glance.
The man alongside her wore a look of indignance as he added fuel to the burning fire. âYou said that to me as well when you were in bed last night!â
Blood drained from Melanieâs face instantaneously. D*mn it! Heâs obviously spelling trouble for me!
âStop talking nonsense and back off now!â She lashed out at him.
âD*mn it! How can you deny everything now? When we were indulged in our passionate moment last night, you couldnât even let go of me and kept calling me darling! So youâre thinking of kicking me aside now, huh?â
Melanieâs mind turned blank, and she was unable to utter any words.
Her consciousness faded in and out after she had passed out the night before. Besides that, she was overcome by a sudden wave of lust. Despite feeling delirious, she was pretty sure that the man alongside her the previous night was Stephen. She was clueless about how she ended up spending the night with another man. By the time she came to her senses in the morning, only then did she realize that she had fallen into a trap.
As burning fury surged from within her, she picked up the pillow and hit the man with it. âGet out of my way now!â
The man was not infuriated but continued to grin frivolously. âDonât you know itâs a way of displaying your affection to me when youâre hitting and scolding me? Anyway, donât you think itâs inappropriate to do so in the face of another man?â
Melanie picked up the pillow again and chased frantically after him to chase him out of the room.
Stephen was utterly speechless at the sight of the absurd scene. The next moment, he turned to pick up his luggage and left.
âStephen! Wait! Donât leave! Stephen!â Melanie yelled out apprehensively.
The man stood in her way and raised his volume wittingly. âTake it easy. He wonât pay any heed to you no matter how youâre yelling at him. After all, you still have me. We already had seven rounds last night. Letâs have more rounds tonight! Iâll surely satisfy you then!â
After adding insult to injury with the ambiguous words, he was sure as h*ll that Stephen would not accept Melanie again. The lecherous smile on his face only faded away after Stephen was far away from them.
Looking at how he grabbed hold of her wrist, Melanie growled, âLet go of me!â
The man let go of her hand abruptly. His lips contorted into a disdainful smile as he scoffed, âMelanie, you have been drooling over men since you were in university. Hmph! Youâre seemingly still the same even after so many years!â
âB*stard! Undeniably, I had feelings toward you at that time, butâ¦â Her voice gradually trailed off.
He snickered. âBut what then? But you found out I was not from a prominent family, so you changed your mind, didnât you?â
Melanie gave no hoot to his words and did not feel like wasting time bickering with him about the trivial pasts. At the moment, she just wanted to win Stephenâs heart again.
She snarled at him, âYouâd better stay away from me. If not, I wonât let you off!â
The manâs heart skipped a beat, intimidated by the ferocity in her eyes. My goodness! This woman is ruthless indeed. She might commit any mind-boggling deed at any time. Anyway, thereâs nothing for me to fear! Letâs see how things go then!
