âIt appears you have a lot of time on your hands. I feel like Iâve been seeing you quite a lot these days.â
The cocky Dranste smiled cheekily at my question. He took a sip of the tea in front of him and got his chin upon his hand. His appearance was like a rascal in the countryside, so I thought it felt sourer in my eyes.
âI suppose so.â
I was sure heâd go away again soon⦠but I guessed he had decided to stick around for a while for some reason. His room had always been empty; now, heâs wholly unpacked his things⦠and it had already been almost two months⦠I was mainly just surprised because I was sure he would have vanished again without a word by now.
Well, itâs okay, even if heâs here for a long time. The real problem was that he followed me around all the time just to make fun of me!
Just like today!
I was enjoying my brief taste of peaceâ¦and now he had even come into the garden to taunt me.
I stared at Dranste with a frown, and all servants were being so polite to him on the way here. Whatâs so special about him? He always came and disappeared like the wind; I didnât understand why he was treated so warmly.
When I frowned openly, Drancete laughed aloud.
Oh, itâs annoying.
âWho are you, really?â
âWhy do you ask? Are you really that curious?â
Yeah, thatâs right. I wanna know what Dranste was and what he did in the past.

It wasnât because I wasnât interested in this guy. I was not really impressed when heâs not around me, but when heâs in front of me, I couldnât help but be curious! I couldnât help but pay attention to him because he was standing right before me.
In my response, Dranste smiled as if he felt good. The number of my irritating gauges went up again. Oh, I hated him.
I thought the most mysterious person in the world so far was my dad, but there were just two more like that in the world. First, thereâs Assisi, and the other was Dranste, who stood right before me!
âMost importantly, Iâd like to know why everyone calls you my fatherâs teacher.â
Dranste put his chin on his hand dully.
âBecause thatâs what I am.â
âWhat did you teach him?â
âWell, who knowsâ¦â
Should I just slap him?
