Shin wanted to follow Ren, but he knew what was more important right now.
He walked towards Glen, feeling a little guilty.
After all, he and Glen used to be close. But Glen slowly became more selfish and unrestrained with hid action, leading them to frequent fights.
"GAAARGHH" The red eyed Glen shouted
It would be a stretch to say this man still had humanlike features.
With a pained look, he said
"I'm sorry"
There was nothing he could do now to save him.
With Asil, he slowly freezed Glen and let it break along with him.
Watching the fragments of his old friend dissipate, he just stood there in silence.

As he walked away from the arena, more and more blood was coming out of his mouth.
In anger, he looked up at the sky.
Ren, "You fucking bastard. You just had to make it painful"
Although he was complaining, he still kept moving forward, as if he was trying to search for something.
'I have to find it'
'I can't lose'
Almost out of the Academy, he slowly halted.
Ren, "What was I trying to find?"

'ah...I've done it now. Glen's dead'
This was the first time he had to kill someone he was close to.
Reaching the gate, he spotted Ren just standing there.
When Ren looked behind, Shin was shocked
'is he okay?? I thought he didn't get hurt???'
He looked more injured than Shin who did most of the fighting.
He was genuinely worried.
Ren, "ah I'm okay Master Shin. Must be from that spell"
Shin, "...I'm going to request for a healer. You're allowed to accompany me"
He was going to call a healer for himself. Not just for Ren. Of course not.

Ren, "Thank you master"
Shin looked around and saw no carriages.
'They must've all escaped or called for back-up'
He inwardly sighed
'things will get hectic soon'
Shin, "Can you walk?"
Ren, "....I'm standing right now?"
'It's so obvious???' Ren thought
'Why was I even worrying', Shin thought being annoyed
He grabbed something out from his bag.
Shin opened the top and shoved it Ren's mouth.
"Don't waste a single drop"
Ren was shocked by this but did as he said.
'Just hand it to me next time you idiot!'
It was a bit wide so it strained his mouth when it entered.
When Shin saw Ren swallow everything, he slowly pulled it out from his mouth.
Ren, "Ah- you could've just given it nicely Master Shin" he said catching his breath
He complained but he already started feeling better than before because of what he drank.
Shin, "Now we're even"
Then went to headpat Ren
Ren, "What do you mean by that?"
Shin, "The pill"
Ren, "The pill? Oh a pill. Yes I did give you one"
Shin felt that Ren has been a bit off since the fight with Glen.
They discussed where to go for now. They couldn't go back home yet looking like this. How would his mother react?
He didn't want her to worry.
They decided on going to a nearby inn to freshen up and call a healer.
Shin, "..."
Ren, "...what?"
"...are you sure you can walk fine?"
It's been about 10 minutes and they weren't even close to the inn yet
Shin noticed that Ren was having trouble.
He felt bad since he knew the reason Ren ended up like this was because he used that spell during the fight.
He sighed.
'I can't believe I'm doing this to a man for the second time. And with the same person'
Shin, "Do not ever speak about this after we get back. That's an order"
Ren, "I won't Master but...what exactly are you referring to?"
Shin didn't speak and just dropped down and signaled Ren to come near him.
Ren, "....."
Shin, "Be thankful that a noble like myself is even offering this to you"
This wasn't easy for him to do, but he had no choice right now.

'no way in hell would THAT Shin give a piggyback ride to a man' he thought
Shin got annoyed again.
"It's either Shin or Master just pick one! Is that so hard?? Just hurry up and get on while no one's watching"
Ren, "Master, I can just walk"
Shin, "Then tell me why we aren't even close to the in yet even though in normal circumstances, we would've been close to there by now."
Ren, "....But Master, you're shorter than me. Won't it be harder for you?"
Shin, "...."
Poor Shin was insulted and questioned too many times today even when he was trying to help.
"Tsk"
He went towards Ren and forced him to ride on his back.
'm-my pride' Ren thought
'To be carried by a guy younger and shorter than me. What would people think of this'
Shin, "Height doesn't matter. What does is getting to the inn as soon as possible. Stop the damn complaining and be still"

It was so obvious to Ren. Shin was having a hard time even holding him in place.

It seems Ren calling him short was the reason. He was in no way short. Ren was just one of the few who were taller than him.
Ren, 'hm I feel a sense of deja vu for some reason'
This feeling was very familiar somehow.

Shin, "....we must never speak of this again"
Ren, "...I agree master"
They both lost some pride today.
Arriving at the second floor, they searched their room and went in.
Shin, "You go take a bath first to wash off the blood"
He was exhausted from carrying Rem a second time
Ren, "You should go first, you're my master"
Shin, "I still have some things to attend to"

I finished most of my activities for the week so I finally managed to get some free time and write this TvT
I missed a lot of special days this month because of all the activities our math teacher gave us ಥââ®à²¥
Like the day the TCF manhwa came out, donghua for SVSSS, AND Mammon's bday
(No way am I gonna miss Xiao Zhan's bday on Oct. 5)
