In the end, Ren completely fell asleep and Shin had to carry him again
Shirlette and the others were surprised, but seeing Ren's appearance the past few weeks, they all felt sympathy for him
"Master Shin, no need to carry him. I'll do it" Lero volunteered
"No. I'll do it" Shin said, giving no way to persuade him

When Ren woke up, it was already the next day. It was still quite early though.
He didn't know how he ended up in his room.
Last thing he remembered was sleeping in the carriage.
But he felt something soft again when he was half asleep. Just like last time.
"Ah...I feel so refreshed. TvT the torture is over. I better pass that shit."
Since there was still some time, Ren decided to warm up a bit and jog. He's basically been cramming for 2 weeks, so this would really help clear his mind.

When he went out, someone was already there

Imagining the faces of Shirlette and the others when Shin, the master carried a servant who was older and taller than him

Went Shin went a bit farther away, Ren started to stretch and do a light jog around the house.

After Ren finished warming up, he took a quick bath and got ready to go to Freya.
When he went down, he saw Shin wearing one of the tight black outfits that showed the outline of his body. And a icy blue long cloak on the outside. His boots and gloves looked a bit heavy too. They seemed to be enhanced. On his side was his sword that fit perfectly with his icy image.
'man, the protagonist of this world looks so cool, but how does he have a better body than Ren though??'
Beside him was Aria, who was dressed quite differently. She wore a long orange and red robe which had some seal looking things near the bottom and on her sleaved in gold. Her blonde hair was the same as always but her pastel pink eyes seemed more sharper than normal.
"You both look so cool!"
"...is that all your're gonna wear today?" Asked Shin
"I mean a brought an extra uniform"
"...."
Aria, "let's go, we're gonna be late"
In the flash of an eye, they were wearing their uniforms again
'magic is so fucking cool'
Aria, "I was practicing my illusion magic, but those really are our outfits"
Ren, "good luck today"
Aria, "haha, thank you"
When they were on the carriage, Aria and Shin were talking about battle tactics
But Shin turned to him at one point and asked
"What weapon are you gonna use today?"
"....we need weapons?"
'well I do have one but it's fucking expensive and I can't exactly show it to others'
Aria, "Don't tell me you didn't bring any weapons?"
Ren, "Even if I go back now, all I have is a toy gun"

Shin, "*sigh* just...just use this. It's one of my back up daggers"
He handed Ren a frosty looking dagger, which was lightweight and looked really sharp
"This color definitely suits you. Then I'll give it back later then Master"
'this idiot was seriously planning on going without a suit and any weapons.*sigh*' Shin thought
When we arrived, quite a few people were already there.
"Everyone, please gather in the auditorium immediately. The opening ceremony is about to begin"
Ren, "woah, everyone looks so serious. Even the servants"
Aria, ".... you're just too carefree Ren"
Shin, "are you sure you can pass? If you just barely pass on the written and don't
excel in fighting, you won't be able to go you know"

Sherry, "Ren don't tell me you thought these battles didn't matter that much"

"you're so stupid sometimes" Shin said feeling helpless
By then, the introduction of the ceremony started. And finally, it was time for the most important part.
"Welcome to the second part of finals everyone!" The principal said, his voice echoic around the auditorium
"Servants won't be able to attend to you as much today, so keep that in mind."
"The battles will be based on elimination. Out of 100 of the students, only 30 of you will pass the overall! There will be 10 winners today. But, you will be graded based on your abilities.'
Ren, 'only 30??'
"Ah, don't worry too much. This will be counted overall including your studies. And even if you fail, you still have a chance to take an entrance exam at Exio. But you probably won't have any time for a vacation." The vice principal chimed in
"Because there are only 30 servants in this graduating year, you will only have one battle. Ability will play a crucial part. Afterwards, go to your masters."
"Everyone, good luck!"
When everyone started to go out, Ren tapped on Shin's shoulder
"What?"
"The dagger..."
"Ah, I forgot. If you inject some mana in, it'll turn into a sword"
'good thing I brought 2 mana potions. *sigh* my wallet'
"Okay got it. Good luck today!"
"...I think you need it more than me"
"I'll pass!"
As they said their goodbyes, the servants and nobles went to opposite directions.
Ren, "what weapon are you gonna use?"
Sherry, "a crossbow. My suit is ready too where's yours?"
Ren, "I'm wearing it already"

After they arrived in the arena, the instructor briefly explained the battles
"This bracelet contains a shield that wraps around your body. If you get hit 5 times, then you're out."

Roselita seemed to be carrying a bulky case which seemed to be full of weapons

Sherry, "because we don't have a lot of mana, weapons are extremely essentiall in battle"
Poor Ren, only has a dagger to fight
