Ren followed Shin, who was probably heading to Aria and the tsundere bastard
It was quite awkward along the way
When they got there, Aria ran to Shin to check if he's okay while the tsundere, Alex, was leaning on a wall near an alleyway.
"I'm okay Aria, just a little tired. Could you cast a healing spell on me?" Shin said while smiling
"Of course! Sit down on this bench so I can take a better look, I'm so glad you're okay"
Because she was so focused on Shin, she didn't notice Ren
By the time Shin was finished healing, Ren was about to leave. It was obvious in Shin's eyes that he was walking sluggishly, due to mana depletion.
But then, a warning from the system appeared

After reading that, a shadow from the direction Shin and Ren just came from appeared.
It was heading towards Alex.
Shin noticed and threw his body in front of Alex, preparing to take the blow
Ren was terrified of the system's warning from happening
"Bastard!"
He quickly went in front of Shin and tried finding off the shadow.
It was another infected, a fast one at that.
"ACK-"
Ren looked down and saw a hole in his stomach
"....this wasn't part of the plan"
Alex didn't realize what happened until she saw the hole on Ren's body
He fell down right after
Seeing this, Shin was shaking
He pulled out his sword from the scabbard and prepared to attack
"You son of a bitch!" He shouted
He kicked the infected and used his aura to slice him. He was full of rage.
Then, another one came out and tried to attack Alex again.
Both girls were petrified with shock.
This didn't help Shin one bit.
He swiftly changed direction and sent his aura forward like a large blue arrow piercing the infected's head. Black blood splurted out its body.
He was already out of breath from the last battle, and had to exert more strength this time.
'...it hurts so fucking much. It hurts. It hurts.
But if I didn't change the direction of the attack and it hit Shin...I'd still side'
Shin quickly went to Ren's side
"What the fuck are you doing Aria! Heal him or he'll die!" He said with rage
Aria was shocked, Shin never used that tone with her before
But she knew what had to be done. She quickly went to Ren and started healing him. He was slowly recovering, but....
".... it's not enough" Aria said with a shaking voice
"Just fucking try harder!" All the calmness in Shin disappeared hearing this
"Why...did you do that, you don't even have anything to protect yourself with so why..." Shin murmured
Alex didn't say anything and stared at this scene. She took out something from her bag and tossed it to Shin.
"....That's a high quality HP potion, it might help him"
He quickly held Ren's chin and let him drink the potion
But he wasn't swallowing
"Jeez Ren, do I have to do everything by myself??"
Shin put the potion in his mouth and went to Ren's lips.
'please wake up...'
Aria and Alex were shocked by this
'k-kiss?!' they both thought
'....my life is over. My first kiss is with a guy. I transmigrated but my first kiss was with a guy. A guy.' Ren was devastated
Luckily, Ren finally drank it and his wound started healing.
"What a wonderful scene..." Someone laughed behind them
"It was quite troublesome dealing with those Infected you know"
The three turned to the voice and saw a man with bright red hair and a pair of golden eyes that seemed to glow.
He walked to Ren and tried pulling out something from his pouch
Shin went in front of Ren and glared at the man
"What are you trying to do to him?"
"Relax, I'm just giving him another potion. It's not enough see? He's obviously still bleeding"
He pulled out a potion and and poured its contents on Ren's stomach.
With it, the wound sealed, with no scars as well. As if the wound never even existed
He squatted beside Ren and looked at him
"You should be grateful that I'm here kid, or you'd really be dead. Wake up. I know you didn't faint"
Ren, "...."
The Man, "Is it awkward for you cause of the k-"
Ren, "Ah! I'm up!"
Shin, "Ren!"
Ren, "Ahahaha..."
Then he looked at Wolford with an apologetic look
"...I'm sorry but I really had no choice except to lead them towards you. At least you're okay!"
Wolford, "How did you even know I was there?"
"Just because"
He stood up but staggered a bit, making Shin worried
Alex, "See? He looks fine, I should've never given that potion, it was expensive! He didn't even need it!"
Ren looked at her with cold eyes
"Listen here Miss Archer, I'm grateful for the potion but do remember. We're all in this mess because of you? Can you be a bit more grateful? That's quite shameless of you to say that don't you think?"
Alex, "How dare you insult me!"
"Shin could've gotten fucking hurt because of you!"
'I almost died damn it!'
'that's what you're worried about? You almost died!' Shin thought
Before giving time for Alex to speak, he quickly added
"And sure enough wasn't the infected that attacked me aiming for you? All of us tried to save you and you even endangered Shin. So can you please, not show your fucking arrogant face right now?"
Everyone was stunned by Ren, seeing as he's usually always calm and polite
After saying that, he ignored her and turned to Shin
"...Shin, you should get healed too"
"Dumbass! Why did you take the hit??? You don't even have anything to protect yourself!"
Ren was shocked by Shin shouting
"You would've died, Shin! Do you think I could just watch???"
"Well Ren, why are you even here in the first place???"
"I wanted you to be safe!"
Just when the conversation was about to get more heated, Wolford stepped in
"Now now, everyone calm down"
Hearing his voice, Ren turned to him
"Again, I'm sorry Wolford, I really didn't have any choice back then"
"Ho, you know me?"
"Who wouldn't know you? You're quite famous"
"You do realize that I'm in a disguise right? The current me looks nothing like my real self"
"....I just guessed"
"Heh..."
'oh fuck I forgot about that part'
'this kid's pretty interesting' Wolford thought
Wolford, "Today's been a long day, everyone should head back"
Ren, "Shin, and Miss Aria, you two should head back first."
Aria, "But wouldn't it be more convenient to go together?"
'no it'd be quite awkward with everything that happened'
Ren, "I still have something to do..."
Wolford, "yes he does!"
Ren, "-eh?"
Wolford, "he still owes me for giving him that potion" he smirked
Ren, "...I never asked you to give me that, Sir"
Wolford, "I'll tell you how you can pay me back later, I just need you to stay for a bit so we can chat"
Shin, "We'll stay until you finished your little chat"
Wolford, "oh but it's a private matter I'm afraid"
Ren, "Aria must be tired as well. And I know you are as well cause you fought a lot today Shin. It's late, so you go first"
Shin, "but you're tired as well"
Ren, "and you are too so go"
They went back and forth about who goes home
Wolford finally ran out of patience
"Are you a couple or something??? I'll only be stealing your Ren away for an hour at most"
"We are not" they both said in sync
Wolford couldn't help but sigh hearing their never ending argument
He grabbed Ren's wrist and dragged him away
"Just go Shin!"
Shin also ran out of patience
"It's young master Shin to you!"
Then he left with Aria and asked Alex is she was okay
'ah, he snapped. Damn, how is he always so gentle with girls'
Ren couldn't really be angry at Shin, when he was about to faint, he saw Shin genuinely get worried and ki...
Anyways, it was a bit awkward
Seeing that they left, he let himself get dragged by Wolford
