He looked up and around the banquet hall. He saw Ye Sijue holding his secretary as they headed upstairs.
Looking in the same direction, Annie caught sight of Ye Sijue.
Why was he going upstairs?
âChris, I⦠I have something to tell him.â She gave Chris an appealing look.
Chris sighed. He looked into her eyes and asked, âWhat is your relationship with him? When you were in China, were you guys a thing?â

She didnât know how to answer him.
They seemed to have been a thing.
However, they had never confirmed their relationship. So even she didnât know what their relationship was.
Chris had never seen her so anxious before.
His gaze deepened as he looked at her. âIf you want to go to him, then Iâll take you to him, but you need to be clear about this, Annie.â

In the large banquet hall, the second floor had a circular corridor that allowed people to overlook the whole hall. There was also some open lounges for guests to rest or talk privately.

When Chris took Annie upstairs, they didnât see Ye Sijue and his secretary anywhere.
Annieâs heart was tense as she looked around. âCould they have entered the room?â
