“Then why must I park so far away?” Lian Jing irritably passed her a bag. “I bought this for you. It’s my birthday in a few days time and I’ve invited many people. Wear this gown and be my date.”

“Why must I attend your birthday celebration?” Shen Yin looked at the red gown in the bag in confusion. Then, she inadvertently looked up and met Lian Jing’s cold gaze.

Shen Yin’s was about to refuse when she suddenly said, “How do you know my size?”

Lian Jing’s expression softened a little. He seemed to be thinking of something and he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. “You’ve given birth to my son. Do you still need to ask me such a question?”

What did this have to do with her giving birth to his son?

Six years ago, she was unconscious and could not even remember the appearance of the man she had sex with. However, this man seemed to have a deep impression of her.

Shen Yin glared at him suspiciously. “Why do you remember so clearly? Did you have sex with me on purpose?”

“No.” Lian Jing turned his head and looked at her seriously. “I was drugged. I didn’t mean to take advantage of you.”

Shen Yin did not doubt him anymore. She lowered her head and looked at the gown in her hand. She bit her lower lip and asked tentatively, “Is Nian Nian going to attend your birthday celebration too?”

Lian Jing raised his eyebrows. “You don’t want him to?”

She nodded. She frankly voiced her concerns in the face the man’s increasingly cold gaze. “After all, your family has only recently acknowledged Nian Nian. I’m worried that someone will want to harm him or bully him. Why don’t we discuss this later?”

It was rare for her talk things over with him. Lian Jing narrowed his eyes. He realized that he was actually easily persuaded. No matter how angry he was, as long as this woman spoke to him nicely, his temper would vanish instantly.

Lian Jing had the same thoughts, so he nodded and agreed without any objections.

Shen Yin heaved a sigh of relief. Actually, she was secretly afraid that if the Lian family acknowledged Shen Nian in public, she would no longer be able to take him away.

However, she was a little surprised that Lian Jing could put himself in Shen Nian’s shoes. She was worried that the man would dislike this son who had appeared out of the blue.

She looked at the smiling Lian Jing and said calmly, “Then I’m leaving. I have to get to work.”

“You… what are you doing…” Shen Yin’s heart pounded and she panicked as Lian Jing’s eyes drew closer.

The red lips that Lian Jing had been thinking of were right before him. His eyes darkened, and his lips curled into a wicked smile. “Do you still remember the experiment we did when you first came to my house?”

Shen Yin flushed. She regretted being so muddle-headed back then. She had been bewitched by this man and had fallen into his trap, which was why she had let him kiss her for so long without resisting.

From then on, he had grown increasingly unrestrained. He kept kissing her shamelessly instead of maintaining a distance.

“I don’t remember,” Shen Yin denied frantically. Seeing that the man was about to kiss her, she hurriedly raised her hand and put it between them. “I think this kind of intimate behavior should only be between couples, but it’s obvious that we don’t have that kind of relationship. So, President Lian, please refrain from such behavior.”

She looked at him timidly like a frightened rabbit. Lian Jing realized that when he used his natural advantages to press this woman under him, her sharpness would vanish, revealing her allure.

Lian Jing stood up in accordance with her wishes. In the quiet car, his heavy breathing could be heard clearly. He took a long time to calm down before opening the car door. He said hoarsely. “You can leave. I’ll pick you up tonight.”

Shen Yin felt as if she had been released. She grabbed the bag and got out of the car, not daring to delay for even an instant.

But his last sentence caused Shen Yin to be restless for the rest of the afternoon.

When it was finally time to get off work, she nervously looked out of the window. Shen Yin heaved a sigh of relief when she did not see the conspicuous Maserati.

Although this man was domineering, he was really very considerate sometimes. This time, he had obeyed her.
