Wayne didnât know why she was so angry, so he asked directly, âTell me, who pissed you off?â
Anna only felt angrier when she heard him ask that. She said in annoyance, âHuh? Do you really want to know who pissed me off?â
She wanted to lose her temper, but she immediately calmed down when she saw Wayneâs expressionless face.
She gritted her teeth and said, âNothing, Iâm just tired.â âYou can stay here tonight, and Iâll take you home in the morning.â
Anna was so angry that she thought she couldnât even breathe. She didnât even want to fold her clothes, so she took them out of the closet and threw them all into her suitcase with the hangers âNo, I have to go home and take care of my daughter. Sorry, I have to go now.â Anna snarled âIâll give you a ride.â âNo, I have my own car!â
Anna had been driving Peaceâs car for the past few days and planned to return it to her tonight After saying this, she pulled on her suitcase and left, her movements very sharp and determined.
Anna left at a fast pace with her suitcase. Listening to the sound of her leaving, getting farther and farther away, Wayne walked to the door. When he saw Anna was walking in a hurry, he felt puzzled.
âWhat the hell? He just let you go like this? Why didnât he give you a ride home? Itâs already night.â
âHe offered to drive me home, but I refused it.â âWhat? He didnât say anything else then?â
As soon as Anna got home, she told Peace what happened. Peace got angry immediately after hearing it.
She slapped the table and shouted, âNo man in this world is reliable! Karl is a complete and utter bastard. Since Wayne is his best friend, heâs not a good man either. I really thought he was a nice guy, and now I know I was so wrong.â
âThe point is not that he didnât send me home, but that he let Ada go with Matthew to Germany He didnât even tell me about it! It wasnât a big deal, was it? If Ada could have found someone to cure Matthew, I certainly wouldnât have stopped her.â
Anna was so annoyed that she felt like her blood was boiling, The more Peace said, the angrier she got, âYou know, maybe theyâve done more intirnate 50 Points TIL Umeniig to M... things behind your back! Did you see Ada fixing his tie? My goodness, thatâs way out of the line! And, they did that in front of your hotel. Iâm telling you, she must did this on purpose. She just wanted to make you feel threatened!â
âThey didnât see me standing there.â
âShe did it on purpose anyway. I think the receptionist must have seen them, and Wayneâs assistant must have known she was there. They all knew about it and they all kept it from you. Itâs insulting.â
âMaybe this whole thing might not be as awful as we imagined.â Anna said hesitantly. She thought maybe Peace was overthinking.
âHey, you must listen to me. Donât talk to him these days. Let him think about what he had done, and he will tell you that he was wrong.â
Anna resigned and said, âWayne is not the same as Karl; he is not that kind of guy who would admit that he was wrong.â
Peace didnât think it was a big deal and immediately said, âLet me tell you, Anna. If you donât teach him what to do, heâll never do it.â
While the two of them debated whether Wayne was cheating and arguing with clues, the two men were hanging out in a bar.
Wayne briefly told Karl about the whole thing that Anna being angry with him.
Karl shrugged after listening and asked, âHuh? Thatâs it? You just told me the fact that she was angry, but didnât say anything about why. So, how am I supposed to give you advice?â
Wayne frowned as he felt puzzled and said, âI think she might be mad at me for coming back late. Well, I left her alone to be with the guests.â
Karl waved his hand and said, âThatâs impossible! Women are very fond of being trusted by men, so thereâs no way sheâd be angry about that. After dating so many women, I realized that they often get angry over ex-girlfriends.â
Wayne glanced at Karl and said calmly, âNo, that canât be it. Ada and I broke up a long time ago, and Anna knows it.â
Karl shook the glass in his hand, gave Wayne a meaningful look, and asked, âWhat about the other one? Have you told Anna about her? Maybe she saw something about her at your placeâ
Wayne immediately looked a little upset.
Karl coughed a few times and said, somewhat embarrassed, âNever mind. Itâs certainly not because of that Oh, I know!â
âWhat?â
âWomen could be angry for many reason. You know, they get mad many times a day, and mostly over trivial things But, they can get happy easily.â
âWhy?
*Because men buy them things I think you can buy her bags, jewelry, clothes, makeup, or whatever Wayne nodded thoughtfully He drank all the wine in his glass, put it down, and stood up, saying, âIf thatâs the case, itâs much simpler Iâll get going now. Itâs late.â
Karl stared in surprise and said, âWhat? Youâre leaving now? No! Do you want me to stay nere all night by myself?â
Wayne glanced at him and said, âWhy would you find the evening boring? I remember your new bar just opened. Why donât you have fun there?â
Karl made a desperate face and said, âAh! Peace has been fighting with me for days just because of this damn bar. She said that if I dare to go into there once again, she will break up with me.â
âI thought you liked breakups. That way, you can date a new girl.â âIâm serious this time.â
Wayne said thoughtfully, âYou say that every time. But, you know, Peace is Annaâs friend. I hope you wonât hurt her, or everyone will be embarrassed.â
Karl immediately waved his hand as if trying to shoo Wayne away. He said, âWhy donât you believe me? I really mean it. Go away, Wayne, and let me enjoy the solitude here by myself!â
Wayne laughed a little and calmly took his jacket and put it on.
He patted Karlâs shoulder before walking away and said, âAs far as I know, a lot of men like Peace.â
Karl froze after hearing that. He didnât come back to his senses until Wayne had already walked away He shouted straight at Wayneâs back, âWhat! Who likes her? Is it someone from your hotel? || really want to know which bastard dare to steal her from me. Is it your assistant? Oh, god, I knew it! I knew it was him!â
When Anna was still asleep in the morning the following day, she was awakened by someone shouting because of surprise from the living room.
âWow, Mr. Wright, there are so many gifts! You brought all these?â
Tammyâs eyes lit up as she stood at the door watching Gabe come in carrying many bags from luxury brands âThere are some more in the car. Iâll bring them here later.â
Anna walked out of bed without even brushing her hair. She opened the bedroom door a coek and saw Tammy happily eating the chocolates Wayne had given her.
What a line traitor! Anna thought Tammy then put her arms around Wayneâs neck and complimented him, saying, âMr. Wright, ale you here to give my mommy gifts? Why didnât Matthew come?â
Wayne glanced into the bedroom and said, âWell, Matthew is at home getting over his jet lag Is your mommy still sleeping?â
âYes! Iâm going to wake her up and have her make you something delicious. Can you stay
