19 - Chapter Nineteen - Unknownâs Point Of View.
A While Laterâ
Hell truly was about to unfold in the north. A single brand new soul
was why we all watched the slowly unfolding hell. Every single one of
them including I wanted that soul and we would rest at nothing. A
newborn's soul was perfect for many things. It wouldn't be long now
until things got underway. The rogues moved to keep from being
found out. They trained and practised only one thing, and that was
death.
Smiling I watched on. I would have that soul first.
Quietly moving away from the hell unfolding I watched the younger
male resting in his bed. That child was like a beacon to all.
"M'lord, Things are growing violent between the waiting monsters.â
"I will deal with it."
With one look back at the male, I smiled. Rest easy small wolf, your
child is mine.
Getting back to the unfolding action it was a scene of hell above the
hell on the ground. Angels, demons, reapers and all alike fought for
what they thought was possible. The more they killed themselves the
less I would have to kill when I finally showed my interest in the baby's
soul. using the powers I had I was easily cloaked from them all. I
watched the rogues get the last of their training in, they planned to
attack in the dark of night. Come morning that child would be dead.
I, however, didn't want the pure soul the way it was. I had no use for a
newborn child, however a male of age, who didn't have a use for that.
As the wolves set out I dropped my cloak. My aura was quick to incase
the sky. You could feel the thick fear in the air from the monster set to
get the soul. My kind only had one name known, The Skorwn. We
ourselves were monsters. Whispers and talking broke out soon
following my reveal. No one left, however, That was still more than fine
with me.
When the rogues were no more than two hours from the child all of the
hell above started. My right hand Saxor brought me the only thing I
enjoyed holding more than souls, My sword. The handle was crafted
out of a metal infused with souls, called Soulrite, Far stronger than any
metal known to humans. The blade was blood red and you could hear
the souls inside cry for blood. the black diamonds and rubies in the
handle glowed in the last of the moonlight.
Saxor pulled his own sword out of thin air, his animus (Heart) Laegan's
Sword was next. I was to my followers, What a king was to his people.
"Kill them all.â
I moved away from the heart of the fight and watched as the rouges
struck. The smaller males larger mate protected him with a passion of a
thousand warriors. mid-morning was on its way and I could smell the
death to come for the child. A rogue came after the smaller male who
now was in active labour. If he killed that child before it took its first out
of the womb breathe the soul was no longer worth as much.
Sighing, I dropped from the sky cloaked once again and removed the
problem. With the child's first cries also came to its death. The younger
male screamed in horror as he tried to get the tiny blue-faced male
baby to breathe again. Now was my chance.
Softly taking to the ground, I looked at the male.
"Let's make a blood pact young wolf."
"W..what?"
"I'll return the life of the baby, but come his twenty-second years, two
days after his birth he is mine to take. "
"Deal. You have a deal."
Grabbing the younger wolf's hand I sliced his palm and did the same
with mine, My blood was black as our blood mixed and the air cracked.
I did the same with the babyâs hand and he took a breath, his yellow
eyes faded to an ice-white as the wolf in him faded and died. His eyes
flicked black and I smiled as the trade had gone perfectly.
"What did you do to..To him?"
"I gave him his life back.â
"No you did something, He has no wolf his eyes should be yellow."
" He is no longer a wolf, The wolf part of him died when he took his last
breathâ
Removing one of the black capes I had over my shoulder I gave it to
the younger wolf and disappeared.
