What The Heart DesiresWords: 10070

Arriving at the resort in a couple of minutes, they walked on the lightly lit path, towards their villas.

"So?", Amelia was the one to break the silence.

"So?", Shawn asked.

"I.....", Amelia said.

"I.....", Shawn repeated.

"I .......", Amelia said turning to him this time in a breathless manner.

"I........", Shawn said going with the flow expecting something nice was coming his way.

"Am sleepy", Amelia said turning back around to walk towards the villa.

"Am....... what?", Shawn said, realising he had been played turning around to face Amelia now, who was walking away from him. Shawn rolled his eyes and chuckled at her.

They entered the gate of Bella's villa, and stopped in front of the main door.

"I had a great time, Goodnight Shawn", Amelia said with a low, a warm smile covered her face.

Shawn looked at the Amelia as the low villa lights made her look even more gorgeous standing in front of him right now.

"Goodnight Lia", he said.

Amelia was about to walk towards the door when she realised something, turning back around she asked, "Why do you call me Lia ?"

Shawn looked at her and said, "Because I like it", he said.

And then Shawn came closer to her and hugged her, taking out the little capsule he had in his pocket. He tried placing it in Amelia's back pocket without her noticing it.

Amelia blushed as she felt his warm body against her in a hug. That hug was so much more. She felt something in her stomach, like butterflies, maybe? She had read it, but had never felt it. She felt amazing. For the first time in her life, she felt this kind of touch. The one that can drive you crazy with just a hug.

She could feel his warm breath on the soft skin of her neck which was exposed from the high neck. She didn't know how long they stood there. But she wished it to be longer.

Shawn drifted away a little, loosening the hold of his arms on her, and said, "So I'll see you tomorrow?"

Amelia looked at the ground, to shy to face him with her cheeks all red now hummed signalling yes.

Shawn turned around and moved towards his villa.

Amelia stood rooted to her spot, the effect of the electrifying hug still lingering on her.

"Are you gonna stand their all night?", Tyler called out to her.

She turned around in a second, to see the front door of the villa open, as Tyler leaned on the frame of the door.

Amelia looked at him in confusion and asked him in shock, "Since when are you standing here?"

Tyler, surprised to see the effect of a simple hug on her said, "I didn't see you blush after the hug, chill"

Amelia listening to this, moved past him entering the villa, hitting Tyler on his stomach with her elbow.

"Ouch, what was that for?", he asked.

Amelia raised her eyebrows at him, and he raised his hand in submission.

"Where are the others?", she asked moving towards the stairs.

"Jack's sleeping, Marco's playing Fifa in his room with this child he bonded with at the bonfire, and Bella isn't back yet", he said, ascending the stairs behind her.

"Shouldn't we be worried about her?", she asked.

"No use", Tyler said, "she takes perfect care of herself, for one and second she never listens to anyone"

"Goodnight Ty", she said moving inside her room, as Tyler moved inside his room, smiling at Amelia before closing the door.

Amelia changed her clothes and folded them, placing the jeans in the hanger, and the high neck with it as well. Just as she moved towards the closet to place them, something fell from her jeans. She picked the small pill from the wooden floor of the walk in closet, and looked at it. It was orange in colour this time.

She was now sure, that Shawn was the one who sent the flowers that morning to the villa.

She placed the hanger in its place, and moved back into her room.

She opened the transparent pill after sitting on her neatly kept bed, and took out the orange colour rolled chit from it.

It said:

"I desire to see the morning sun rise, and the evening sun set in the horizon with you in my arms."

A broad smile formed on Amelia's face. The choice of words was excellent. Was there even a single thing this guy was bad at? He definitely knew how to make a girl smile.

Thinking about him, Amelia couldn't help but notice the over sweet, sugar coated guy she had met. She analysed every meeting from the very first day. Then she remembered the time Jack told him about Shawn being a womaniser.

And Amelia didn't doubt that. This guy was a winning deal. He was hot as hell, had a great jawline. But that didn't really matter. What mattered was, Was he the one she was seeing him to be? Was he really the person he tried to portray himself around her? Or was he just playing his womaniser games with her?

But so much for a game.

Amelia didn't wish to doubt him, but who is this perfect?

She felt scared of him right in this moment. What if all he was trying to do was get to her?

But something inside of her told her, she was wrong. Her gut feeling knew he wasn't going to harm her. Never. He was a nice person. And as much as she doubted him, she wanted to trust him.

Amelia never let any one this close to her heart, as she felt Shawn had come in a matter of few days.

Her gut feeling was overcoming all the doubt she had, making her feel guilty of doubting Shawn in the very first place.

All she knew right now was, she didn't want him to leave her, she didn't want to be hurt again. And she wanted to trust him.

So keeping the feeling aside for the moment, she placed the pill, in the secret pocket of her handbag.

This was her little secret, no one and exactly no one except her knew about it, and this made Amelia feel special for the very first time in all the years.

She felt like someone admired her for who she was, and wrote her all she wanted to read to feel special.

Special.

Is such a simple yet complicated word.

It turns our world.

It makes us feel wanted, and loved.

It makes us feel worth, and appreciated.

And it makes our soul feel beautiful.

Amelia slept with the soft mattress under her on this thought.

Special was what Amelia was thinking of when she woke up to the sound of a glass breaking.

She got off the bed in an instant, running down the stairs bare feet to see what had happened. It was still dark outside and only one light in the lounge lit the whole villa, making it rather dim to the eye.

Amelia didn't notice the glass on the floor, but she felt the pain raise up her leg as the prominent piece of glass pierced the skin under her right foot.

She screamed in pain as she fell to the ground holding her foot with her hands. Tears ran down her soft cheeks as she tried to suppress the pain in her voice.

Tyler and Jack who woke up to the sound of Amelia's scream came running down the stairs.

"Crap, Amy?", Tyler called our as he sat on the carpeted floor right next to her.

The lights were switched on by Jack who now stood right next to Bella, calming her anger, taking away the glass from her hand, which she was on the verge of breaking next.

Tyler analysed Amelia's foot and calmed her down. He looked at the white carpet on the floor which now was stained with blood. Amelia's foot was badly hurt, and Tyler knew the pain she felt the instant he looked at the size of the glass that had pierced her foot.

The glass had gone too deep in her skin, and he feared pulling it out would cause more pain. But what was to be done, had to be done.

So without thinking further, he pulled out the piece of glass from her foot.

Amelia cried in pain as he did that.

Marco and the child who he was playing Fifa with now stood on the top of the stairs analysing the whole situation.

Seeing Amelia in pain, he rushed down the stairs and sat next to her and Tyler.

"How bad is it?", Marco asked as he couldn't her a proper view of the wound.

"Bad", Tyler said.

"I'll call the housekeeping staff", Marco said, moving cautiously of the glass on the floor, towards the telephone.

Tyler signalled Marco to take care of Amelia as he walked towards Bella to calm her down. He knew Marco would end up dead near Bella's anger issues so it was safe to keep him away.

Tyler and Jack were trying to calm Bella's anger issues, by talking to her, and getting her water to calm her nerves.

Marco took Amelia in his arms as he took her to her room and placed her on the bed side.

He bend on his knee and kept Amelia's foot on his other knee, analysing the damage.

The housekeeping staff arrived in no time bringing in the first aid box.

Tyler send them up the stairs warning them of the glass on the floor.

Marco helped the guy who had entered the room, with the antiseptic as the two of them dressed up the wound.

After the finishing, the housekeeper gave Amelia a pain killer asking her if she had any allergies to any particular drug, to which she refused. He advised her to sleep as the pain killer would make her feel dizzy, and asked Marco to take care of her.

The little guy who was scared to his bones, away from his family staying in the villa with Marco for the night, entered the room.

"Hey Eddy, come here", Marco said smiling, signalling him to come near him, as he placed Amelia in the covers.

Amelia smiled at the little guy, hiding her pain as she didn't wish to scare the little human more.

"You seem tired, come here", she said and Marco placed him on the bed next to Amelia.

"Are you hurt?", Eddy asked Amelia moving under the covers.

"Little", she said placing the quilt on him.

He yawned making Amelia and Marco smile at his innocence. In a minute he fell asleep.

"You should sleep as well", Marco said as he rose from the bed side.

"Yah", she smiled back at him.

"Let me take him with me", Marco said picking up Eddy from the bed.

"Let him sleep, he'll wake up", Amelia said, and Marco agreed.

Leaving the guy there, Marco moved outside the room switching off the lights.

"I'm keeping the door open, in case you need me", he whispered as Amelia hummed in response, agreeing to him.

She placed a pillow behind Eddy making sure he won't fall off the bed at night in his sleep.

Amelia felt her eyes become heavy, probably due to the medicine, and without thinking any further, she slept.
