Feeling the cool breeze touch your face when you look out side from the back seat of a car window, while your hair flow back with the wind, feeling the cool air and you feel all pretty and epic. The feel of that one moment in the whole long journey is intense and lovely in itself. We've all felt it . And we've all loved it.
Now think the same feeling multiplying a hundred times on the back seat of a convertible. That is how Amelia felt right now. While her friend Bella drove the car, and Marco clicked the photographs of the amazing view, she sat relaxing in the back seat. Jack and Taylor followed them, in another car. They've been sticking together since two years now.
Meet Amelia, Your typical high school innocent beauty, who tends to see the good in bad, the beautiful in ugly, the innocence in the cunning and flowers among the cactus. A grade student, who is responsible, determined and simply amazing.
Meet Bella, The bad ass bitch of all as they say. She makes sure everyone's life is a living hell in school. She added Amelia in the group when she moved from another town.
The typical red haired girl with beautiful blue eyes that are always hiding her real self from others.
Meet Marco,
Bella's twin, and a play boy. You got that didn't you? Well he stopped his petty little acts when Amelia entered their little scene. No one is sure of his intentions, and his kind words around Amelia adds on to the confusion.
Meet Tylor,
The coolest person alive and the typical smart pants. Amelia's best friend.
The one who knows everything about codes and hacking, to the one who can fix any situation in his dad's business deals. He does it all.
And well he is Bella and Marco's cousin on their dad's side.
Meet Jack,
Tyler's Boyfriend, and the one who needs a day at the spa or at least all the designer stuff, from his clothes to the laces of his shoes.
From the watch on his wrist to the
handkerchief in his pocket. Although the smart ass is ready to discuss any current issue being the only son of the town Mayor, he knows what's going around.
Face's don't really say what the heart desires, at least not in the case of the clever ones.
Well these kids glitter like gold from a far, what no one asks is, do they glitter in reality?
Well no one knew and no one will ever know. Or will they?
It was a five hour journey, but it was all worth it. Amelia gasped at the beautiful resort that they had just entered. She couldn't believe the sight in front of her eyes. The resort covered the whole hill and from where Amelia looked at it, all she could see was greenery, with a few flowers here and there.
Bella got off the car and moved towards the reception, while Marco being a gentleman when 'convenient', helped Amelia get off the back seat of the car.
"She can do it for herself", said Taylor while moving past them.
Marco glared at him, while Amelia smiled at Taylor. He ignored Marco, and nodded in response to Amelia turning back as he moved towards the reception.
They laid back on the couch in the rear end of the reception, as Bella and Taylor took care of the ID verification, and collected the keys to the rooms. At least that's what Amelia thought they did.
Amelia was looking out of the enormous glass wall of the building at the hills in front of her in excitement, when she heard someone call her.
"Ma'am", said the waitress who stood with a tray of welcome drinks for the guests that had just arrived.
"Thank you", she said politely as she accepted the drink. The waitress smiled at her sweetness and went away to offer the drinks to others.
She wasn't sure of what is was until she took a sip. She relished the hot cup of herbal tea that must be a speciality of the area they were in. She clenched her hands on the cup as she loved the warmth it offered. The weather wasn't cold, but pleasant enough to accept any light warmth that the surrounding can provide. Their luggage was taken car of by the bell-boy, while they moved out of the reception of the huge resort that was ahead of them. They were being lead by the receptionist to their rooms. Stepping out of the main door, Amelia felt the cold chills that the evening in mountains offer. She could feel goosebumps on her arms as she touched her bare arms with her hands and folded them on her chest. She knew she would need a sweater as soon as they reach their rooms.
It had been 5 minutes since they were walking, but she couldn't take in the beauty that surrounded her. Open fresh evening air, the grass with a shade of the evening sky, everything looked pretty. She stopped to bend down at the petunia's that grew in the garden. Marco couldn't help himself but stare at her ass as he crossed her. This was the particular reason why Tylor didn't like him. Too cocky.
"Really?", Tyler whispered in Marco's ears.
Marco ignored his intrusion and continued staring as they were crossing her. Tylor placed a hand on Marco's chest and before he realised, he was pushed into the fountain behind him. Jack laughed and Tylor sighed on being Marco's cousin. As per Bella, she didn't give a shit. She turned around on the splashing of water, but seeing Marco there she knew he must have been fooling around.
Amelia laughed at Tylor's little act, but being the sweetheart gave Marco a hand, as no one else was bothered about him. She was oblivious of the real reason his friend was pushed in the water.
Tylor looked at her and sighed. He didn't understand her innocence. Why was she so sweet to a guy like Marco? To hell with Marco, why was she sweet to everyone, oblivious of their true intentions. He thought as he walked away.
Marco caught up with the group, as Amelia wanted to take in the beauty that the resort, and the garden offered. She looked at the flowers and the sunset. No one could take this moment from her. Peaceful and calm. She was submitting to the thought in her mind, taking in a deep breath taking in all the coolness when she was interrupted by the sound of a Nikon capturing a picture. Looking around, she found a camera pointed at her.
"Excuse me?", She said in a much intimidating tone.
"I'm sorry, I...uhm.....just didn't want to miss a good shot", the guy with the camera said, moving the camera away from his face now.
"And with whose permission", She asked.
"Ohhh, I sorry if I........", but before he could say any further, Amelia turned around to go to the room.
The camera guy raised an eyebrow, couldn't help but smile after getting intimidated for the first time in his life. He looked at girl he couldn't resist to capture in his camera. It wasn't her face or her body that attracted him and his camera, but the innocence. The innocence with which she looked around, the smile that she had after seeing the petunias, and the way she had placed her arms around her chest feeling the breeze on her arms. He hadn't seen anyone get so happy and satisfied just by looking at the sunset. He knew this girl was different, so different. He didn't even see the colour of her beautiful eyes as it was getting dark and she stood towards the west facing him in the east, but he really wished he had.
All he knew was she had gorgeous brown long hair, straight but wavy at the end.
She went in the direction her friends had gone earlier, but not knowing the room numbers, she had to call them. Once she was sure she was out of the sight of the 'Oh so handsome' creeper, she took her phone out from her handbag to call Taylor.
"Where are you?", Tylor asked.
"Just where I was before", she said embarrassed.
"I'll be there", he said.
After a minute or two, she saw Tylor coming from a distance in her direction, with Jack.
"I'm sorry", she said feeling bad for the two who had to pick her up.
"No worries love", Jack said smiling at her.
The three of them moved towards their destination.
"Wow, okay why the hell is this place so huge?", she asked as the walk didn't seem to end.
"We are almost there", Tylor assured her.
Amelia couldn't take in the sight in front of her for the third time of the day. In front of her were two villas, as beautiful as ever, they stood in their glory.
"Dude, we have our rooms here?", she asked.
"You really don't know?", Jack stated.
Taylor knew he had to explain everything to Amelia.
"Amy, this resort, is their father's", he said pointing in the direction of the inside of the villa.
"Oh, I didn't know that", she said as they moved inside the gate of the lawn in front of the villa.
"And why are there two villas here?", she asked.
"The resort is in a partnership with the Whitman's, so one villa for each family for their own vacations", Tylor said as they moved to the front gate of the Villa.
The door in itself explained the luxury the place offered. It was a thick wood double door, that stood proud on the Spanish designed villa. Bella opened the door for them.
"Where were you idiots?", she said looking at Jake and Tylor.
"Shhhh, don't spoil my vibe", Tylor being sassy Tylor knew what she needed to hear.
Bella glared at him with a sarcastic smile as she made way for them to enter from the left side of the door.
"Amy, your room's to the left, up the stairs right opposite to mine", Bella said as she moved towards the couch in the lounge.
"Thank you Bella", she said.
"No prob babe", she said as she placed her eye mask back on.
"Where's Marco?", Tylor asked, as he lay next to Bella on the couch, tired due to the long drive.
"In his room, probably", Bella said as she lay her head on the back of the couch.
"I need a hot shower to relax myself", Amelia said as she excused herself from the lounge and moved up the stairs to her room. Her bags were already there. She unpacked her things and placed them in their places, keeping the clothes in the closet, makeup on the beautiful white vanity table, that complemented the beautiful white themed room she was in.
After she was done, she stepped in the shower to relax herself. The washroom as expected was also themed white with brown wood designed tiles on the floor. She let the warm water fall on the tensed muscles on her back relaxing. She stepped out of the shower smelling of roses. She loved the feel of it. The feel of being in a towel after a long hot shower. But she had to be quick as it was cold as she hadn't taken care of the rooms temperature controller earlier, the place being centrally heated. She walked towards the door where the controller was and set the right temperature.
She dressed herself in a full sleeved white knitted crop top and olive green track pants. She had to put on a pair of socks due to the chill, and stepped out of the room after she had blown dried her hair, and let them loose on both her sides.
She stepped down, and entered the kitchen where a cook was already preparing a meal for them.
"Perks of being a Hilton", Marco said as he saw Amelia looking at the chef that stood in front of her.
"Show-off", Tylor said walking past Amelia, handing her an apple.
"Hey, I love these", she said.
"I know, we got them from the yard below the resort, before we came to pick you up", Jack said, who was sitting on the dining chair right behind her.
"Wow, exploring much", she said.
"Nah just a 5 min thing", Tylor said smiling.
Amelia sat on the couch adjacent to Bella's, where she still lay with her eye mask. Biting the apple, she moved closer to the rectangular, glassed, electric fire place.
The five of them sat around the dining table and ate the delicious meal that was cooked for them, by the specialist of course.
After dinner, Amelia loved the warmth she felt on her cheeks and her mood lit up. Her feet we warm, and she felt good now with the mug of hot cocoa that Bella had made for them. She tried to remember her cycle date, as she couldn't help but notice her sudden pull to the warmth, and though it was cold, she knew her dates were around when she felt the sensation in her lower abdomen.
