"No, no no no no, you are not understanding", Amelia said shaking her head in disbelief, then continued looking in Tyler's eyes, as tears rolled down her own,
"Shawn, he...........",
"He what?", Shawn, who was standing behind her now, said.
"Ask him to leave", Amelia said looking at Tyler.
"You think I'm the one who.........", Shawn wanted to explain himself, but before he could Amelia turned around and looked at him in the eye, "Don't, just don't do this", she said, before running towards the villa.
The hazel eyes now, held just one emotion. Hurt.
Tyler turned him around to face him, and asked, "Bella? Seriously?"
"You know me Ty", he said.
"I know you and I know Bella. But right now, we know what Amy is going through", he said.
"Listen, it isn't what it looks like", he said.
"Save it for her", he said as he.
He walked towards the villa. Following the direction Amelia ran in.
Shawn looked at Tyler as he turned around to face him and said, "what are you waiting for?",asking him to follow.
"You believe me?", he said.
"She did, and I know she wasn't wrong", he said referring to Amelia.
The two of them walked towards the villa, but stopped at the entrance of it, seeing Amy with a tall figure in the dark. The two of them looked at each other in confusion.
They looked at Amelia as was being kissed by the stranger. Amy didn't seem to mind it, she stood rooted to her spot.
Shawn turned around when he couldn't take anymore of it and ran back.
Tyler froze as shock took over his senses seeing what he just saw. But something didn't seem right. Amelia wasn't reacting to the kiss like she was involved in it. She just stood in her spot. That is when it hit Tyler, she was drunk.
He rushed towards her direction, and pulled her from the strangers arms. Looking at the guy, he recognised him. He had seen him with Bella before.
He looked at Amelia who wasn't in her senses now. Looking at the guy take advantage of her state, he punched him across his face, with his right hand, as Amy stayed on his left arm.
The guy, looked back at him in pure hate, before giving up the thought of hitting him back and leaving the two there.
Unlocking the front door, he took Amelia to her room, in her half conscious state, as she uttered muffled words.
Removing her shoes, he analysed her foot, which had blood on the bandages. The wound had opened up, but still was healing.
He removed the stained bandages and replaced them with new, and sat on the vanity chair, after placing the covers on Amelia, as she slept.
Then he analysed.
She took the same drinks they took.
She saw Shawn and Bella together.
Bella flaunted her the love of her life the same day she kissed Shawn.
Shawn wasn't at fault.
And someone had definitely, spiked Amy's drink.
Not sure if the thins going around, he heard the villa door open.
In a matter of a few seconds, Marco entered her room, and looked at Amelia, and then Tyler expecting an explanation for leaving early.
Tyler moved out of her room, and took Marco to his room.
"She wasn't well", he said sitting on he soft mattress of his bed.
"She was crying the whole day", Marco said.
"Why did you guys come back from the market early?", Tyler asked.
"You know Bella, she went all 'Mayday Mayday'
and asked me to turn around", he said.
"Why?", Tyler asked.
"I don't know, she said she had something important to take care off", he said unbothered by his own blood.
Tyler now knew what that important thing was.
But now the question was, how did she manage to match the timing and the place, to kiss Shawn, and for Amelia to notice it.
That accuracy.
They heard the other two come back, as the two sang "why don't you just meet me in the middle, I'm loosing my mind just a little", ascending the stairs.
Marco moved out of the room, and looked at them placing a hand on his lips, and gushing them. The two of them were drunk af, and laughed after mimicking his actions.
Taking Bella to her room, Marco wished Tyler a Good night.
Tyler slept with Jack on the other side of the bed, with this on his mind. He always knew Bella isn't what she looks like. She was evil one. But why Amelia? Why did she want to hurt her? Or was she obsessed with Shawn? As far as he remembered she had wanted to be with Shawn's elder brother. Then why Shawn? Why him? What in him, did interest her now?
At the breakfast table the next morning, no one except Tyler knew the real face of Bella. He smiled at him every time he looked at her. And for the first time in his life he could see the manipulativeness behind that smile.
The way she acted all sweet to Amelia, passing the maple syrup to her, getting her tea, was because she got what she wanted.
Was hurting Amy, all that she desired? Or did she actually love Shawn?
Still confused at the thought, Tyler knew he had to figure it out before it was too late.
Too late, for Amelia to trust the ones around her.
Bella wore the silver Amelia bought for her the other day, but Amelia was too lost in her thoughts to notice that. Bella smiled, at her friend or her oblivion, no one's sure.
Tyler looked at the way Bella smiled at Amelia's lost way, that evil smile, was it really evil?
"Since today is our second last day here, we are going on tracking", Marco announced.
"Camping", Bella shouted in excitement.
"Why the hell is she so happy all of a sudden?", Jack asked Tyler.
"That's what I'm trying to figure out", he said.
"Amy, come on we are going?", Marco said offering her, his hand
"Hey Romeo, we need to pack our bags", Jack said
"That exactly why, I'm her to her room", Marco said in an "Oh so oblivious tone".
After reserving their spot on the camp spot with the reception, they five of them moved out of the gates of the resort with their bags. Clicking images, talking, and taking all they could of the heavenly view on the way to the camping sight, they savoured all of it, except one. Amelia. She felt incomplete. She felt a void.
"Where are you lost?", Tyler said, as he came from behind her, placing his body weight through his arm on her shoulder, while walking.
"I'm...... just"
"Thinking about Shawn", Tyler completed her sentence.
"Please, I'll never think about him, he is a fuck boy", she said, with no emotion in her voice.
"He's not", he said moving ahead of her, turning around then saying," And you know that, that's the problem", he said before turning back around and moving ahead.
"That is the problem", she whispered to herself.
Jerking the emotion off, she kept walking to towards the camp site. The first thing they were asked to do, reaching the top was to set the tents.
Other tourists were also there, some from the resort, and among them were their 2 acquaintances, Shawn and Nick. After setting the camps, the bonfire was set. The staff of the resort, prepared the marsh-mellow fest for everyone present on the camp site.
Shawn took a spot below the actual camp site to take his mind off the kiss he saw the previous night. Looking at a distance, he took out his camera to click a few shots. Turning it on, the first picture, he saw on it was Amelia's, the one he took at the cabin. He couldn't take his eyes off it, but then he remembered what hurt him the most.
"Can we talk?", he heard a familiar voice. He knew who that was. Without looking back he nodded.
Bella came to sit beside him, and looked at his camera, which he had turned off.
"Shouldn't miss this", she said pointing at the view.
"Let's cut the whole act", he said taking a deep breath, "What do you want?"
"Jeez, calm down, I'm just here to apologise", she said.
"Apologise", he snorted, "For?"
"Don't do this Shawn, I really am sorry, for kissing you off guard in the conference room, alright", she said defending herself.
"And I should believe you?", he asked.
"That is up to you", she continued, "I never apologize, I never have, but if for once I am sorry about something, you shouldn't sound that bad", she said.
Shawn, feeling guilty for his sudden outburst, looked at her eyes, which held only one emotion, guilt.
"Fine", he said.
"Back to friends, for old times sake", she said offering her hand, but seeing Shawn's disapproval, she gave him her puppy eyes, "It's okay, I don't have many, I won't mind", she said looking at her hand, taking it back.
Feeling sorry for her, he accepted her hand, only to see her smile next.
"You won't mind if I sit here, will you, friend?", she asked.
"Nope", he said.
She looked around, and when she thought the moment was right, she placed her head on his shoulder.
Amelia, who was finally free from helping the staff in preparing the meal for everyone, walked towards a tree now, which was away from all the chattering and music, to keep to her thoughts, but was close enough, for no one to worry about her. She sat of the clift, hanging her legs down through the railing, looking at the little, big lights, complementing the hills in front of her, right as the sun was about to set at the horizon.
"Beautiful, isn't it", Nick said, as he made his way to her. Amelia turned around to see who that was.
"Hmmm", she agreed.
"Do you mind?", he asked sitting next to her.
"You decided that yourself", she said sarcastically. He chucked.
"You've got great friends", he said.
"Yup", she said, still looking at the sunset.
"Love", he said.
"What?", Amelia asked doubtfully.
"Love", he said looking at her, "Isn't it a strange word, happens in a moment, and stays with you forever.", he said.
Amelia registered his word, as all she could think about was Shawn, all the time she spent with him, in the cabin, the ropes, everything.
"Like them", he said pointing on the spot below them. Amelia looked in the direction he had pointed, "It only took them a day to fall for each other the way they fallen", he said.
On the clift below them, at about 50 meters, sat Shawn and Bella, looking at the sunset, with Bella's head placed on his shoulder.
