             As soon I stepped outside the cab, I speeded up my pace in an urge to meet Ayu and Yash in the party hoping that they might have reached here."Wait for me. Walk slow", Tanvi said gasping in a try to match my strides. "Yeah"  I didn't decrease my pace. As I went inside the campus, I saw Mohak waiting for me. Again my butterflies started to dance. Not now! I gave a smile and moved ahead to search for both.As I was stepping ahead, Tanvi came from behind and held my hand in a try to stop me."What?", I asked half- heartedly."Wait Miss. Athlete. Mohak has asked you to come in the projector lab beside our classroom", finished Tanvi.How did she know?  *suspicious*Wasn't she with me all this while? I ignored."Not now. Ask him to wait, I am looking for Ayu and Yash", I replied without looking at her."Arey, you go and meet him in the lab. I will search for them and will inform you immediately once I will find them", she suggested.I didn't respond."Girl, wait", she snapped."Are you sure?", I asked."Trust me", she assured me. "Okay", I strolled to the lab, reluctantly. I entered the room and it was completely dark. "Mohak?", I called-out expecting a reply.There was no response. I called once again, but nothing yet.Before I could call his name once again, I saw a spot light on one of the corner of the room.There came Mohak in the brightest version of that spot light. "Oh, there you are! You scared me", I sighed."Not yet", he said.Meaning? "What?", I enquired."Nothing! Just tell me the answer without wasting a single second", he seemed enthusiastic. Okay, Aashi! You can do this! "I..I...", I couldn't say it at once."Come on", he smirked.I took a deep breath. "Yes..I like you too", I said it aloud digging the ground with my sights. "Here you go", he started laughing.I was still shy to look at him. As seconds passed, his laugh turned into wicked one. I felt as if something is wrong with him. "Lights on", he screamed still laughing wickedly."What's wrong wit.." I gulped further words on realising an echo of laughter around me. I thought we were just two of us, however discerning so many students around accelerated my heart beats. Wait! There I saw the same girl who was there in the cafe during our coffee date. I was feeling bewildered standing as the centre of attraction to the audience here. "What's going on?"  I shivered with fear. I was still hoping something good would happen. "Aashi, meet my girlfriend Suhana",. Mohak came forward with the same girl from the cafe dropping the bomb. This phrase slid the floor beneath my feet. "Girlfriend? Who am I then?", tears accumulated at the cusp of my eyes. "You? YOU ARE A FOOL", he threw a sinister laugh, followed by the rest of the students existing. "Excuse me", I could just speak this. I was unsure what to do? What to ask? Emotions welled-up in my system and I couldn't help but let out a sob. "Excused", he just shrugged enjoying the drama he has created. "Why did you do this?", I was dejected."Poor baby, allow me to explain", he initiated sarcastically."You know Keerthi?", he questioned. "Who Keerthi? What does she got to do with this? ", I shooted wiping my tears. "It is all about her.", he raged. No one has ever spoke to me in this manner before. I couldn't control my emotions and my stubborn tears left there castle then and there."Ah! There comes the other part of the story", he said pointing towards Ayu.I saw Ayu and Yash coming to me in haste.But I couldn't move an inch as someone has cast a spell on me."Ayan, won't you tell your sister about Keerthi?", he looked at Ayu."You jerk" , Ayu clenched his teeth."Ah..ah! Let me tell her everything", he wiggled his finger. "Keerthi is my sister and Ayan's class mate.", Mohak divulged. "She loved Ayan with all her heart, hit what did you do, Ayan? You rejected her. I never saw her that devastated. She wept all these nights and carried a fake smile in daylight. My heart clenched seeing her in that demeanour", he wiped his face in frustration. "That's why, I honey-trapped Aashi and broke her heart to give her the same pain. Though you rejected Keerthi's proposal in person, I wanted to give you more embarrassment in public", Mohak added further. "Alas, your sister is such an emotional fool, she believed me so effortlessly, which eased my efforts", he concluded, smirking. "All this is rubbish. It's true that Keerthi proposed me but I denied her proposal politely. I didn't say anything which would hurt her. In fact, when we met the next day, everything was normal and we are good friends now", Ayu responded, confidently."Friends my foot! She might forget the insult but I can't forget her sight in pain", Mohak didn't budge. "You are sick", Ayu glared at him. "Come Aashi, let's go home", Ayu turned to me. "Hold on, take this last one and go. Come on guys, start your job", Mohak said pointing towards everybody standing over there."You bastard, I will kill you", Yash screamed aloud pointing towards Mohak.Mohak ignored as if his revenge has reached its destination.On Mohak's single indication, everybody started shouting "Aashi..you are an emotional fool..".I couldn't take anymore. My body went numb and brain got foggy. I could only see darkness engrossing around me while my head started spinning. Eventually, I passed out. ********************************Sad, is it?
