How could they be here? I stumbled a little due to the thunderbolt. I saw a displayed screen, which showed two important people of my life seated there with a disoriented unsaid utterance on their faces.My parents? "Dad? Mumma?", I screeched."Sad. They can't hear you, sweetheart", the same wicked voice pierced my ears followed by a sinister giggle.Vicky paced towards us with baby steps."What do you mean?", I asked."They are here for sure to witness which they never expected. Let them wait", he replied.I stepped aback as he paced towards me."Did you take them..?", my throat went dry. "I didn't. They were supposed to be here for some other instance but I changed it into another", he neared me. I had a question mark on my face. He let out a tsk. "They wished to surprise you, however, guess what? It will be the other way round", he eyed them. What is he upto?Neil was right as always. He is assuredly planning something worst as he knows he can't break Neil and my bond in any sort.All this while, Neil was mum taking everything crap Vicky was blabbering. "Don't react much. You know I am always around you. I will be back soon", Neil hushed in my ears and walked out. Where did he go?I am dead sure, Neil had something in his mind. He won't leave me in this situation alone, it must be much needed matter. I shouldn't panic. How dare Vicky drag my parents into this?Whatever it might be, trawling my parents into this shit is not acceptable at all. I never thought he could stoop so low. "No matter what. You weren't supposed to bring my family into this", I almost roared."Ah..ah! Our family. Soon to be my family", Vicky exclaimed. Our family?A surge of disgust waved across me. He doesn't even merit an ounce to assume that. "Shut up. You don't even deserve to think so. No chance", I shouted."Then whose? That Neil's? Who left you alone here and vanished in thin air?", he sounded a bit raged."Vanished? Only you could think that irrational", I threw a sarcastic smile.His eyebrows creased. "You don't know anything about the kind of immense bond we share. We don't need to be together to protect each other, only our feelings of affection are enough to build our strengths irrespective of our presence. Which you could never get", I added with determination in each word I spoke."And you will not understand that cheapo", Princy supported me."Will deal with you later, stupid girl", in a split-second, Vicky slapped her and she fell on the floor.His action gave a thunder to my already feared senses."A..Are you m..mad?", I rushed to help Princy reacting at Vicky's deed.He responsed so casually as if it wasn't a negative earnest.How can someone feel it's okay to hit a girl even if she isn't wrong?Hopeless! I never knew he was such an offender."Vicky! Today you proved that my decision of boycotting you from my life was a quintessential decision and I am proud of my instincts, which demanded me to take such a conclusion", I declared smiling plus helping Princy to gain het stability.I gave her a "Are you okay?" look.She nodded a YES. Though I knew she was badly affected with this instance."You are speaking too much", he roared."I will", I gave back in same tone."You..", he charged in my direction to slap me.I shivered and closed my eyes in terror as I couldn't capture the possibilities to be arrived.*smack*I opened my eyes to find the unexpected. A punch landed on his nose making him bleed. Vicky's body language went completely shaken. I spun likewise and found MY MAN by my side as always. "Don't you dare touch my girl", Neil never seemed this furious."You need to pay for this", Neil rushed to give him more."No! No! Stop, Neil", I held him back to avoid further consequences.He looked at me and nodded with a deep breathe.Vicky stood straight with great effort wiping the oozing blood. "I understand your emotions, Mr. Oberoi. Nonetheless, I can't ruin my master plan with this silly fight", he laughed, immorally. "Your cumin-sized brain could also think?", Neil gave back."Yes. All thanks to you, Neil. I had my ears and eyes all open in search to conclude my plan", he replied."Come to the point and what's with her parents?", Neil ordered."Of course, boss. Just recall the day when you, Ayan and Yash met in the restaurant in absence of Aashi..", he disclosed.Neil squinted his eyes. "You kept your desire to meet Aashi's parents after her confession for you. And that moment, Ayan revealed the surprise. Aashi's parents were to visit her soon. In fact, they also revealed the day when they were to be here. That was the point, where my search for the climax ended", he tittered. "I never saw such a cheap person like you, bloody stalker", I hauled."Yes, I stalked you. I kept an eye on you. I had harrassed you mentally, I blackmailed Princy and everything was just for you", Vicky confessed."And, you will be behind the bars soon", Neil declared. "Acha? I accept. I accept all these. Wait! How will you prove this? You can't do anything. I will succeed in my master plan soon. You can try your luck", he gave a victory smile."You really think that it would work?", Neil angered."It did. That's why they are here", Vicky pointed towards my parents. "What are you upto?", I asked in a thought not to hurt my parents in any way."You will get to know right away, sweetheart", Vicky winked at me.*smack*"I will kill you", Neil smashed another punch on his nose.Although in pain, Vicky smiled as a psychopath."Nevermind.She is going to be mine soon. Watch me", he said in his trembling voice.He clapped again as an indication and next minute Mumma and Dad stepped in. Before I could say or do anything, Vicky initiated his dramatization."I am sorry, Aunty and Uncle. I never thought I would make you face this situation, but it was required", he attempted to sound as saint as he could.Such a plaster saint. "Just see this please", Vicky handed over two envelopes to dad.I and Neil stood bewildered. They were some pictures, I had no idea about. They both were keenly watching them and gradually their expressions grew deeper.My heart started beating faster. After few minutes of observation, dad threw them on the floor.I ran towards the scattered pictures and contemplated them.They were Neil and my pictures since every time we were together.Another set of pictures were of Princy and Neil's, where they were hugging and chatting casually in office and in his cabin on the same day I misunderstood them.I understood what he wanted to do. He wanted to degrade Neil and our relationship before dad and mumma to separate us.I will never let that happen. At any cost. How did he capture those pictures without letting us know about his presence?"I apologise again. I took these pictures using drones just to safeguard Aashi and save her from this demeaning man. What if he is a CEO? These images speak a lot about his character", Vicky answered my unasked queries.I wasn't ashamed of my pictures with Neil before my parents, nevertheless, I never wanted Neil to be humiliated this way because of me.I looked at Neil and he stood anguished. "No dad. He is wrong about Neil and it is completely the other way round", I attempted to clear the air.I went to Neil and held his hand as a sign of belief and support. Dad and mumma seemed in wrath. How do I make them believe the actuality?I felt helpless. "Now, you both know the truth. I assure you that I will prioritise your daughter's happiness ever and keep her away from any sort of sorrow", Vicky finished his screenplay  and stood beside me.I felt repulsive. "I will marry her irrespective of her mistakes", Vicky added holding my hand."Stay away", I and Neil unisoned and I jerked off his touch. Dad paced towards us with a furious articulation. "Trust me dad. Neil is a very nice person", before I could finish, I noticed dad raised his hand to smack and I closed my eyes to accept the outcome.*thump*I didn't feel any sharp sensation on my face. How?After gaining my senses, I realised that the slap wasn't for me. It was for Vicky. "How could you even think that I would trust a third person and not my daughter?", dad sounded legitimate."Our Aashi is our pride and we could never doubt neither her choice nor her determination!", mumma joined dad."But..", Vicky tried to speak."Your this crappy setup proves the kind of person you are and the way this person respected us without speaking a word in his own justification proves his intent", dad declared, pointing towards Neil.Vicky ventured to push dad in despair but Neil didn't allow him."Are you okay, Sir?", Neil asked concerned."Yes", dad smiled at him.Neil took off his phone and dialed a number."Get in", Neil ordered.A group of cops rushed in and caught a hold of Vicky."I didn't do anything. Why are you arresting me?", Vicky retorted. "Mike! This recording will say it all", Neil grabbed the drive from Mike and handed it to the cops."Wait a minute officers. He needs to have something, which he actually deserves", Neil interrupted.He looked at me and stipulated as he understands all my utterances without expressing.I nodded and paced towards Vicky!*thump*I slapped him hard on the face."This is for stalking me". *thump*"This is for haunting me". *thump*"This is for degrading Neil". *thump*"This is for dragging my family in". *thump*"This is for making my life miserable". *thump*"Enough, Miss. Rest leave it to the law", a cop came in."Leave it, Aashi. Let them take it from here", Neil held me. Cops took him and Princy left for her place. "Recording?", I was addled."We planned it.", there entered my idiots. "And, you take care.", Neil gave his forebearing smile but I missed that usual composure in his blue orbs.Take care?Why did he say that?I saw Neil and idiots indulged in a conversation. "Are you good?", mumma hugged me instantly.I hugged her back and couldn't hold anymore. "I am sorry. You need to be in this instance because of me", I hugged dad."No worries. If you are good, then we are great", dad laughed.They all started reprimanding me for hiding all this and I kept on listening as it was my bad.I saw Ayu and Yash heading towards me."When did you come?", I asked Ayu and Yash."This morning. Neil informed us", Ayu shrugged. Neil?Where is he?He vanished again. "Where is Neil?", I asked Yash."He left.", Ayu sighed. "Why? Where?", I shot. "He loved you genuinely, duffer. However, you did hurt him not by trusting him, when he needed it the most. He didn't want to bother you hereafter, so he walked off", Yash encircled his arms around me. "Yes, dumbo. He was here because he never wished you to be in trouble. He tried hard to pull you out of this mess and left once he made sure, you are safe", Ayu added.He won't bother me?He left?I hurt him. Guilt took over me. "Let's go, honey. We will discuss about this later", dad pacified me.We exited  and headed for the hotel rooms booked by dad. I was badly disheartened. I dialled him infinitely, but he didn't receive. "Relax. He is hurt. You had to make sure you put everything in place", mumma patted my cheek. My jaw dropped. "Aashi! I always say this to you that we trust you and your verdict no matter what. Please don't lose him. You are wrong this time, you need to take a step ahead", dad adviced."Dad? You are..?", I couldn't finish. They both nodded in acceptance. I was so happy as my parents accepted Neil. "We are proud of your choice", dad kissed my forehead accompanied by a hug.Mumma smiled and joined in.I was on cloud nine. It's time to call 'Aashika Rao' back. Let's do this Aashi.
