What is going on here? I saw a team of packers and movers, who were busy with their job of shifting the things.Who is leaving?That too without notice. When I stepped ahead, I perceived that mild hurricane was from Princy's room.Is she back?If she is, then why is she leaving?Before I could ask or say something, a familiar unison hit my eardrums"Babydoll, why are you late? Where were you?", twins unisoned."With that turmoil Nei...", I cut my phrase on self-realization about the blunder I was about to create.Stupid, Aashi! *imaginary facepalm* "What?", Ella intervened."Nothing, you tell me what's happening here?", I changed the topic while pointing towards the hullabaloo."Oh, that? Even we are surprised", Emma came in."Meaning?", I turned towards her."We were busy with Netflix, suddenly these people came in and started moving out Princy's stuff", Ella replied."Is Princy back?", I surveyed the sorrounding."Not yet. I guess she won't anymore, that's why she is shifting", Emma shared her point."Any intimation regarding her?", I shooted another."Nothing", Ronnie shrugged.Why is it sounding suspicious?Those staff guys were working as live zombies giving us no chance to ask anything.We three along with Ronnie awaited there, anticipating any sort of news regarding Princy, but no use.We didn't get any. Hence, we decided to disperse.The night I just kept tossing and turning because of the peaks and valleys I went throughout the day initially. Nonetheless, my body couldn't resist and I didn't realise when I dozed off. The next morning, I woke up to my ring tone Awa Max's "Alone".It read Yash! I swiped the green icon..Yash- Morning duffer!Me- Morning Idiot! Did you reach?Yash- Yeah! Just now! How is my crybaby?Me- Heyyyyy..! I am fine.. don't worry!Yash- Great! How is Neil? Well, I will call him later.Me- Hush! Should I drop the call?Yash- Alright, lady. I won't ask. Me- Better! With these thoughts all over my cords, I dragged myself for shower, wore a light blue denim and paired it with a white puffed-sleeve top.I tied my waist-length hair into a high ponytail and Maybelline's kajal on the name of make-up.Good to go!At office, I walked towards my cubicle and settled accordingly.I was completely into the reports that I was supposed to go through sent by Abby."Morning Aashi", a voice broke my attentiveness."Morni...", my vocal stride cracked on discerning the person standing in front of me."Can't I get a normal greeting back?", Neil raised his brows.Holy Lord! Rather than looking at Neil, I fluctuated my sights towards others, whose surprised looks were already aiming at me and Neil."Good morning everyone", Neil blurted out looking at others.I could make out from his expressions that those words were just an indirect sugar coated phrase to convey "Mind your own business".Everyone wished him back and pulled back themselves into their respective jobs."Happy?", he turned to me."What was that?", I asked."Why do you always have to care about others mindsets? They got nothing to do with our life", he replied casually."Our life? Correction, my life!", I retorted."Soon it's gonna be our life", he chuckled."Never! You..", my phrase was cut by another familiar voice."Morning Sir! Morning Aashika", Abby interrupted.I smiled back at him awkwardly.Meanwhile, Neil's secretary Diana came to him and explained his schedule for today. "Sir, today you both are supposed to meet clients", Diana spoke looking at Neil and me."Thanks for reminding me, Diana", Neil acknowledged. I nodded without realising she just said 'both'."Both? What? Who?", I almost yelled as it didn't take much time for me to register. "SHE MEANS US! We are going to have a one-to-one meet with the same clients, for whom you gave the presentation last week", Neil said gesturing us."Us? Where? No!", I retaliated without thinking about the consequences."Relax, Aashika! You don't need to be nervous to meet them. You already know everything about the project. Hence, we chose you to accompany Neil Sir", Abby added.Nervous?Ask me!Accompanying turmoil of my life?It's a big NO! "Aashika", Abby snapped me back from my trail of thoughts."S..Sorry! But Abby, can't you accompany Neil Sir?", I asked hesitantly emphasizing on the words "Neil Sir"."Come on! You have researched better. Everything is done, just signing the contract is left", Abby forcefully convinced me.I can't deny anymore due to the lack of a valid reason.Disclosing the reason will be like hitting the axe on my own feet. "Okay", I agreed."We will leave at 11:00 AM. I have a bit of work to finish in a couple of minutes", Neil said and paced towards his cabin."Good luck", Abby greeted and walked towards his cabin. At exact 11:00 AM, I heard a call-out from behind and I turned likewise."It's 11:00 Aashika. Go to the parking, Neil Sir with catch up with you there", Abby said and handed me a file which had all the details regarding my presentation.I nodded and headed towards parking.Calm down, Aashi!
