Ugh!I will be dead as a door nail one day. After a track of a few seconds, I saw a well manicured girly palm on the table where I was seated.Obviously, which might have given rise to such near to a bombshell whump.I raised my sights towards the owner of pernicious manus only to get stunned by the uncloaked revelation.Princy? It was Princy, who stood upright with smouldered eyes targeting me.What is she doing here? What way of approach was that?"What's happening Princy?", I was annoyed. "Listen you newbie! Focus on your work, nothing but that", she sounded censured."What do you mean?", I asked confused, placing my palms on the table."Hush! Be all ears, don't come in my way", she flared up.What way? She is being mad as a march hare. She really needs help. Why does that seem to be an ultimatum?"One sec! Will you just..", before I could complete, she took a move which I never expected.She pushed the wooden top of the table making the hot coffee cowped all over my palm scalding my dorsal skin to the hilt."Owe", I groaned in pain.Was that intentional?"Oops!", she expressed and walked away, leaving me perplexed.That was! Why? I would have smashed her face then and there, however, this blistering sensation was onerous and unbearable.I just wanted to run cold water over the burn long enough to relieve the pain.Without considering much, I rushed towards the nearest restroom. I unlatched the tap and placed my bruise beneath it. The splash of aqua made my blazing spasm numb for a jiffy.I felt better. I knew that this was just the short-term relief, yet it was soothing.Nonetheless, I was not willing for the slightest of the second to quit my work for the day.How can I?Calling it the end of the day just because of the burn seemed to be half-witted and sounded irresponsible. Nope! The only option left for me was to look for the medical room and get it treated. I washed my face as it was sweating because of the pain and grabbed a few tissues to cover the burn up.The next moment, I came out and walked towards the sick bay.My senses caught two people conversing, but I was in no mood to consider who it was. As I took a few steps, I heard someone clearing his throat somewhere around my way.I ignored it as I was up to something else.Post another step, it again distracted me. This time I couldn't resist.I shifted my pivot concerning the "Ahem", which came for the third time.Oh no! *eyes widened*I surveyed the surroundings for a bit. It was the same lobby, they were the same Red Oak walls of the cabin and the person standing at the entrance was also the same.Did I just grasp that I opted for this locale again?*imaginary face palm* Why does my quick-witted brain have to double-cross me every time?Argh!I was heading with such a focus, I didn't realize that I overlooked the most important person of this place. It was Neil! I glanced at him from my peripheral view as I couldn't stand his blue orbs and pulled them back almost instantly. He was standing at the entryway with crossed arms leaning his left shoulder on the door and swapping his view from me to my hand, which I was trying to engulf itself with my effort.The other person who was with Neil waved at him and left."There is no gain in hiding that one", he put his determined point with a sober tone pointing towards the burnt bruise.The hell! He caught it. What should I tell him in case he asks me, when I myself don't know about the actual "Why?" behind this occurrence?It's better to vacate right away. I turned to leave. "Get in. It must be hurting", he ceased my effort of scurrying away. Get in?How can I? "Um..no. I know how to reach the medical room. Thanks", I tried to act normal.He gave me a "not now" look."Please not all of it yet now", he mirrored his expressions. I didn't respond. He waited for a moment. "Will you or you want me to do the honours?", he asked. What does he mean? He initiated stepping towards me. "S..Stop there!", I almost yelled."So, you are coming?", he smiled."I am not coming in your cabin", I retorted."Okay. You have two choices, one gets in or else I will take you to the medical room holding your hand before my entire staff", he dropped the bomb. I frowned at him, while he was busy texting on his phone. "Choice is yours", he spoke. How can he be so alert?What do I do now?I can't go noticed with him and be a part of untoward gossiping dirt. Isn't there any other way around?"No.", he shrugged. Great! He read my expression again. Unfortunately, the only way round is to obey him. Meanwhile, a man with white apron and stethoscope on, came and exchanged a handshake with Neil."Thank you for being here on such short notice, doc. This way please", Neil directed him to enter his cabin.Doctor?How does he know that I was about to agree?Insane!He looked at me with surety to hear a YES!I nodded and followed him inside, reluctantly. He gave a victory smile. Ugh! "Doc, she is Aashika", he introduced me to him."Please take your seat, miss", the doctor smiled.I smiled and did as he said.He examined and tagged it as a second degree burn. "May I know how this happened?", he asked."C..Coffee", I answered meekly. "Do you have any medical conditions?", he questioned. "Um..", I wasn't inclined to talk about my health and earn unwanted pity from him. "Do not hesitate. It will help me to treat you further with medications", the doctor clarified. "Ah..I have low Blood Pressure", I disclosed."Oh", the doctor expressed.Sheesh! This is the reason I abhor to talk about it. "Doc, is this a serious problem?", Neil sat next to me. Worry was evident on his face. "No. But, she needs to be extra careful with diet and avoid stress and exertion as much as possible", the doctor answered.I could sense Neil looking at me.I ignored.The doctor initiated to clean the burn, which made me feel the pain to death.I closed my eyes tightly as a reflex. "Spare it sometime, you will be okay once it's done", Neil tried to pacify me.Although, I didn't move a twitch. The doctor applied an antibiotic cream and mildly bandaged it handing over some antibiotics to avoid further infection."Thank you, doc", Neil showed gratification. "Thank you", I acknowledged. "Just take medicine on time and take care", he said and exited. "Feeling better?", Neil pulled his chair closer to mine. His pitch of strained voice involuntarily forced me to look at him, who was eyeing me already.I mouthed a 'Yes'. My brain instructed me to withdraw the look exchange with him and I did. I tried to get up using my wounded hand as a support."Ouch", I expressed as it was still hurting.This shit is all because of that girl, Princy. I will not spare her once I get to know why she did this."Easy, daddy's little girl. You can leave once you revive. I won't eat you up", he chuckled.Man!Why does he always have to irritate me?I was already irritated by Princy's deed and his jest added rule to the fire. "Don't you Londoners have a job other than exasperate either by spilling coffee intentionally or by maddening me?", I blurted out, completely irate. "What? Spill coffee? Intentionally?", he repeated my words all addled. "What else? That girl Princy, whom I don't even know properly spilled hot coffee without being reasonable and..", I was about to finish but an untimely cough put a stop."Relax", he offered me water.*self-realization hit me*I ceased my movements abruptly. Shit! Shit! Shit! How could I divulge everything just like this without discovering the root cause?And that too before a stranger. I mean, not completely but yet in a sort he is. Thanks to my brainless conviction. Kill me!How do I explain it to him? *panicky*"Did you just say Princy?", desperation was dancing on his utterances. Does he know her?Of course, she is his employee. Nevertheless, a CEO picking up the correct name instantly is hard to digest. I didn't get what to say. Covering the topic will not help either as I had already messed it up. Even so, his next move fastened my heart rate, leaving me dazed. He got up from his seat and kneeled  before me placing his right palm gently on my wounded hand and established his blue orbs onto mine.No! No! No! I tried to break the eye contact. However, he didn't let me.In fact, he gestured not to move at all."Tell me daddy's little girl! Is Princy the one who harmed you?", he re-iterated his quest, still his eyes glued to mine. Something in his eyes made me obey him."Yes", I uttered.After listening to my answer, his tender eyes turned to wrath."HOW DARE SHE?", he looked away and gritted his teeth. He went so furious. Is there something which I am not able to put my finger on? I saw him losing his composure for the first time since we met.He comprehended that I was examining him and his demeanor. He huffed once closing his eyes and looked at me gaining back his serenity."I am sorry", he mumbled.I wanted to ask so many questions, nevertheless, I couldn't gather the courage due to some unknown reasons. "I need to start my work", I wanted to leave as soon as possible."You are fine right?", he asked looking at my wound."Yeah", I responded."Have these as prescribed! Okay?", he added handing me the medicines.I got up with a question mark on my face and I am sure he understood that as always.Wait!Did I just say as always?This time I need help for sure. As I reached the exit, I recalled that I neglected my phone.I turned likewise and saw him already coming towards me with my phone.He scanned my body language for a while. "Don't strain yourself. I am right here", he whispered showing his iconic for bearing smile.I could sense the reassurance in his voice.I involuntarily smiled at him and regretted it immediately. I rushed to my cubicle without looking back. Wake up, Aashi! How could I let him control me and my moves?I should just focus on my decision. My phone rang! It read the same ISD number, which called me yesterday.I swiped the green icon.Me- Hello!Unknown- *no voice*Me- Hello?Unknown- *no voice*Beep.. Beep...Strange! Who the hell this might be?Never mind! I calmed down the twins, who panicked on looking at my bandaged hand and got busy with my work!My phone rang once more!****************************What do you think is going on with Aashi?
