Ye Yao chuckled. “Don’t overthink it. I’m not worried about you. I’m worried that I’ll be harmed by you and Qin Jiao again.”

Ye Yao continued, “You’ve done many ridiculous things for Qin Jiao. Although you’re my mother, I can’t trust you anymore. I like Huo Buyu very much and don’t want to have too much contact with you. You’ll only try and persuade me to break up with Huo Buyu for Qin Jiao’s sake. I don’t want to hear it.”

Ye Yao did not know what kind of sins she had committed in her previous life to have parents like Ye Tianhao and Yang Ya.
