Chapter 259
The look in Tylerâs eyes darkened as he looked at Vicky. âThis is what you call someone barging into
your room?â
It was not until this moment that she recalled that she had sought Tylerâs help, and finally registered the
fact that Tyler had actually come to her rescue. âTyler, I-â
Before she could explain, he interrupted her cruelly, âVicky Shaw, since when have you become such a
despicable woman?â
His words were like blades stabbing into her heart, and her blood ran cold.
âDespicable?â She smiled bitterly. âAsking you for help is despicable?â
âHelp?â Tyler mocked. âYouâre standing right here, safe and sound. Am I supposed to believe that you
were in trouble?â
âSo it can only be counted as trouble when Sheila drowns, huh?â
Tylerâs expression stiffened at the mention of Sheila. âHow dare you mention Sheila, Vicky?â
She looked up to meet his eyes and chuckled faintly. âAre you saying that I donât even have the right to
mention her name now?â
âYes,â Tyler spat coldly.
Her eyelashes shuddered at his words, and she clenched her fists until her nails began to snap,
completely oblivious to the pain.
âAlright, I get it.â She smiled. âI wont bother you two from now on.â
Tyler narrowed his eyes. âWhat are you saying, Vicky Shaw?â
âAm I not being clear enough?â She remained calm. âThere isnât a point to continue this marriage.
Weâre just wasting each otherâs time. We might as well just get a divorce.â
She paused and continued, âThat way, you and Sheila get to be together officially without the concern
of others gossiping about you behind your backs.â
âVicky Shaw,â he gritted out as he stared into her eyes. âIâve told you not to ever mention the word
âdivorceâ to me.â
Vicky was slightly taken by surprise. âDonât tell me that you still donât want a divorce even after all that
has happened, Tyler.â
âSo what if thatâs what Iâm saying?â
âSo what? How unapologetic and righteous! What a joke!â She thought to herself.
âVicky.â He glared daggers at her. âDonât believe for a second that getting a divorce excuses you from
anything. Sheila is still laying in the hospital as we speak.â
âWhat does that have to do with me?â Coming to a realization, she said with amusement, âTyler Hart,
you canât actually be trying toâ¦blame me for her drowning?â
âWeâve already looked into the accident.â He kept his eyes trained on her face. âShe drowned because
her costume broke and wrapped around her legs, and youâre the stylist providing the costume.â
Vicky had thought of countless possibilities but had not expected to be blamed over such a thing as
well.
Amused, she chuckled. âSo, you think that I made her drown on purpose?â
He looked at her expressionlessly. âSasha had drowned you once, and itâs not impossible that you want
revenge.â
She suddenly recalled his phone call from earlier and said, âSo you were calling because of Sheila just
now.â
Tyler did not speak, but she knew that it was his way of admitting to it.
She studied his face. âWell, then? How would you like to punish me for it?â
