ãSanraku, if I had to take a wild guessâ¦â¦ You are that type of a guy who dumps every single point in STR and AGI while neglecting armor, correct?ã
ãBzzt! Bzzt! Wrong answer! The correct answer is: Iâm a mix of both LCK and AGI!ã
ãThat way his Vorpal Soul can truly shine!ã
ãEhhhâ¦â¦ Whatâs this Vorpal Soul thing?ã
I would like to know that as well.
After that, while Katsu was taking care of every UFO-type enemy that came our way I was preaching to him about the greatness that is the Luck statâ¦â¦ There were also other enemies here, but Katsu took care of them all, although coming dangerously close to death a few times. âThey donât do that much damage, but they are fast, Iâll give them that.â Is what he said. But upon reaching the first level of basement of this underground facility, he was already back in perfect condition.
ãI didnât think the damage could be so bad down there. I thought the equipment here would be better preserved than that.ã
ãYeah, I thought that the stairs might collapse under us at any moment out there.ã
ãI wouldnât go that far, butâ¦â¦ã
Once we get down, we take a look to see if there were any other players out there. After Emul returned from his scouting mission, I took out the map that Pencilgton gave us and looked over it.
ãIt looks like we can go to a secret room from this floor.ã
ãHidden areaâ¦â¦ I think that he already provided us with information that we could easily find out on our own. Whereâs the fun in that?ã
ãItâs not all that unusual for us to look up the maps of different areas that we would visit in the games, so think about it like that.ã
I mean, if you were okay with looking up spoilers for the actual game plot, than you should be okay with looking up hidden areas around maps as well, right?
Even if you are good at games, thereâs no way that youâll be able to discover everything on your own. Itâs a sh*tty game if it does that? At least it was a better alternative for going in blind and risking missing out on a lot of possible stuff.
ãIf I can help it, I want to discover as much as I possibly can about games with my own power.ã
ãRight, I get it, ummâ¦â¦ This way?ã
We pass through a corridor to the left with a huge hole right in the middle of it, we jump across it, and after some more walking we arrive at another path that was sort of hidden in between two separate passageways
ãSo annoying!ã
I mean, who? How was this hidden passage originally discovered!? Or was it actually Pencilgton that managed to find it?
ãUwah, since this is a Full Dive game finding a path like that on our own could have been extremely hard.ã
ãNow, it seems that there will be a certain wall in here that makes a different sound than all the others. It is supposed to be our secret passage.ã
Anyway, all we really have to do is to follow the instructions that were provided to us to reach our destination.
ãâ¦â¦ And finally, we just jump down this hole here.ã
Funny thing is, the route we were going through right now was not listed on the map, as was the hole leading to it, so we wouldnât even hope to find it on our own under any normal circumstances.
And since it was a Full Dive game, if you were to tell me that I had to jump down the hole that I couldnât even see the bottom of in an underground facility, I would have to call you crazy.
ãI just thought about it now, but what if someone ambushes us here and tries to assassinate us?ã
ãThat would mean that this damned Pencilgton set us up again.ã
ãGuts! Daddy, I mean His Majesty always says that it is important to have guts!ã
That old bunny bastardâ¦â¦ How about minding your own god damned business, huh!? No, calm down, calm down, me. Thereâs no use in getting all worked up over nothing.
ãWell thenâ¦â¦ã
Together with Katsu we had literally nothing to worry about, but I needed to make an account for any unforeseen dangers and possible accidents. After all, if Emul was to die, there was a possibility that he wouldnât be able to respawn.
ãHmm, right, for now let me go first. Iâm going to see if itâs safe down there, and once I make sure you can jump down as well.ã
ãâ¦â¦ Much appreciated.ã
ãThanks.ã
Seeing how I was pondering over the hole, Katsu proposed such a thing and next thing we knew he already jumped down the hole like it was nothing. Seeing that, Emul shifted a little bit on my back.
ãFuhyaâ¦â¦ That lady really likes to act all cool.ã
ãI know, rightâ¦â¦ Wait a minute, heâs a dude, you know?ã
ãâ¦â¦???ã
Ahh, I see, wait, wasnât there something fundamentally wrong with that statement of Emulâs? No matter how I look at Katsu, heâs a guy, not a chick.
ãThis guy may look like a woman, but heâs actually a man.ã
ãEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHH!?!?!?ã
He really minds his privacy, so he often chooses to play as female characters in games. And it was actually quite easy for him to pose as a woman online, for all of his siblings are women as well, so aside from video games his other hobbies are said to be quite feminine as wellâ¦â¦ At least according to his words.
ãL, life is full of mysteries, isnât itâ¦â¦?ã
ãNot really. You can tell the difference once you take a closer look of his face.ã
ãNo thank you! Iâm not all that interested!ã
Are you sure? By the way, whatâs with that Katsu guy, he kicked the bucket there or something? Just when I was wondering about that, I could hear a silent echo coming from all the way at the bottom of the hole.
ãâ¦â¦â¦â¦ ensâ¦â¦â¦â¦ã
ãIt looks like no assassins await us down there.ã
What was he saying, I wonder?
ãUmm, I do believe it was something along the lines of âHurry it up you two chickens!âã
ãThat bastard! Whoâs the chicken here! Iâm gonna kill you once I drop down! You are so dead!ã
ãEh, please wait a moment, my heart isnât ready yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttt!?!?!?!?!?!?ã
I jumped down the hole without waiting for Emulâs heart to be ready. Iâm not sorry for that.
