Everyone in the room begins to panic and begins running in every direction. I lay, clutching my fathers lifeless body.

Em runs up behind me and grabs me, pulling me off of the ground as Jay lifts me up, ignoring my thrashing as my screams threaten to burst his eardrums, he ignores me, sprinting off in an unknown direction.

I can hear the screams of children, woman and men as wolves begin attacking people: ripping them to shreds on the stained golden floor, slowly, it becoming a dark shade of red.

The thick oozing blood pooling over and spreading like a disease.

My natural instincts kick in as I throw myself from Jays arms and begin running, my legs struggling to kick through the thick layers on fabric on my dress. I almost forget to breathe.

We continue running down a short hall, stopping when Jay opens a door and throws both Em, Alec, himself and I in it. We lay against the wall, breathing heavily as we regain our focus in complete silence.

My hands are shaking, and my lip trembles under the pressure of my emotions. I take a quick look around the room that we are in, looking for anything that could be of any use. I notice that there's a small group of three in the room, all three of the small group look under 14, the two young boys clinging to each other and a little girl for their life, shaking as though they had never experienced warmth.

As I slowly make my way over to them, raising my hands to show that I'm not a threat. I calm-fully breathe in and out, reminding myself that I will only give them courage from using my own, like a king leading his army.

"Caleb..."one mutters, looking at me with wide eyes. All of them are wolves, that I can tell - but all three of them are too young to have turned, meaning that they would still mortal.

Still just children.

Caleb has short ash coloured hair which curls lightly at the ends, his darks eyes dilated with fear as he looks at me, his body trembling.

"You're her, aren't you?" He almost whispers, opening his eyes wide as he lightly taps the small dark haired girl in his arms. The other boy, who's name I learn is Xavier, lightly stares at me with his lips parted, and gently removes his arms from around the dark haired girl who's eyes are shut as she lies across both of their laps. Almost lifeless.

I spot a large cash across her waist, and just staring at her reminds me that's she just a child. Too innocent and good. Her small features remind me of Saorsa, and the worlds that she does not fit into. She's alone, and she's almost always been alone. What worries me is that she will never be accepted, even as a child.

I lightly place both arms around the young girl, lifting her off of the ground and into my arms as I sit down on a dark oak desk. Both boys immediately run over beside me, watching the girl closely with panicked eyes as they exchange knowing looks.

The others who have been watching me closely, come over beside me, and Em lightly places an hand on my shoulder, watching me with tears in her eyes.

"Can-can you help my sister?" The dark haired boy Xavier asks, lightly rocking back and forward as tears stream down his face. I desperately breathe for air, looking up to Em and Alec for advice, because the young girl in my arms is almost dead, and healing her would take so much energy to complete.

Em bears her dead downwards, telling me her final decision without having to speak the worlds.

"No-no." Alec adds, noticing what is happening,

"Cece you can't let that happen she's just a little girl, you can't let her die." Her voice breaks as she turns to her brother, wrapping her arms around her twin.

"Alec..." Em lightly adds, "she needs the energy - Catori is here and will kill her if she shows any signs of vulnerability." She swallows hard.

I sigh, and watch as the hearts of her brother Xavier and her cousin Caleb break and shatter, their eyes becoming wide as they assume what my decision is.

I turn to both of them, placing a hand on Calebs shoulders. "I'm not letting anyone else die today." I state, causing Alec to lightly sob as a smile forms across her face.

I take both of my hands and cup the wound, breathing heavily as I focus on my mind on my hands. Feeling them begin to gently warm like when a sun day hits your face. When I open my eyes, my hands are a mystical red, the energy swooping between them like electricity.

With the dying tears leaving my body, I press my hands into her, allowing the body to leave mines and enter her, leaving me and binding the wound together, giving her a chance at life.

She breathes deeply and awakes with a start, causing me to nearly drop her. She stares at me with the most beautiful green eyes, confused and disoriented.

She jumps off of my lap and Into the arms of her loving older brother and cousin that cry as they embrace each other. A family.

Jay grabs my shoulders in order to support me, giving me an admired smile as I become slightly lightheaded.

"We need to find Hunter," I mumble under my breathe. "I need him, if he dies-" I'm cut off my Alex who promises that we will find him.

The little girl comes over as hugs me, crying Into my arms as I hold her tight. I sigh as I smile lightly, not regretting what I did. No one should have to loose a family member, Alex had lost her own twin and her mother until he was found.

I'd lost every part of my family I'd ever had before I found it.

As the girl lightly loosens from my grip I pull a dark strand of hair from her face and question all three of them. Trying to be as kind as quiet as possible.

"Do you guys have any family here?" I ask, hoping that they aren't alone without some sort of guardian. "No," Caleb responds while staring down at the ground,

"we snuck out of our pack to watch the wedding he sighs defeatedly, I almost laugh at how relieved I am that they will have a family to return to when I get them out of this.

As the little girl turns around, I notice a very unusual marking on her back. My hearts beats loudly as I turn to Jay who also notices it.

On the girls back reads the initials, BW.

The three children in front of me are from the Northern-Moons rival pack, and this might be the one thing that could unite us.

"Caleb, Xavier...I need to get you out, do you think you could get your pack to help us," I beg, sitting down in front of them on my knees.

"Because people are going to die if we don't have backup, " I plead, clutching onto their hands.

"I know you don't want to leave your sister but she's still weak and healing, she might not make the journey," I sigh, "but you may be our only hope."

Both cousins look at each other and nod, smiling lightly as my heart almost melts.

" I can get them out, " Jay adds, nodding at me in approval, but I might have to turn as I get out and carry them to the Batail Wolves, I feel like I might be able to persuade more to come if I speak directly to the alpha."

"Okay." I nod, standing up on my large dress and removing my high heels, kicking them off of my feet.

"I can find your mother." Alec adds, heading towards the door, I quickly stop her and turn to Em.

"Can you watch the girl?" I ask while heading towards the door where Caleb and Xavier wait with Jay and Alex, ready to leave .

"Of course I can." She smiles, turning to the little girl. "What are you going to do Ce?" She asks as the other sneak out of the door. I'm quiet for a second as I think.

" I'm about to Murder an ancient b*tch and get my mate back."

I'm carefully with every step as I avoid any of Catori's wolves hearing us. I stand with my back against a wall, separated from Alec after she went to follow my mothers human scent before Catori could.

I walk carefully, sweat dripping down my forehead as my senses override when someone walks by the corridor in front of me, grinning as they stalk for prey.

The unrecognised man is covered in blood, his hands forward as he licks his lips, making me sick to the stomach as I push myself as far back against the wall as I can, closing my eyes while silently praying that he doesn't see me not hear me.

He continues forward, sniffing as he walks like a dog. I emerge a sigh of relief, and reveal myself from my hiding place, walking forward and searching both sides of the corridors before deciding which direction I want to look for Hunter.

A set of arms grab my from behind, digging their finger nails into my skin as they grab me. I kick them, releasing their hold on me and begin to run, not thinking and heading straight into the older wolf, causing him to snark and grab me, lifting me up and dragging me towards the hall.

I scream and scream, but no one comes to help me as the doors are opened wide and I'm brought back into the large room that I was supposed to be getting married in. Except, it's unrecognisable.

Catori stands in the middle, her head tilted as she smiles at me. Her long dyed-white hair is straight and the front in pinned behind her as she stands in black leather pants and a tight black top. She tilts her head as she sees me, her dark eyes filling with blood of her victims.

"It's good to see you Cecilinda." She laughs, ordering the nearby rogues to tie me up to my throne. Her jaw shakes as she looks at me, fear entering my heart as I remind myself to be strong.

"Ironic being tied up to a throne that'll you'll never get."  She laughs, sitting down on my father, or what now should've now been Jays throne. She repeatedly taps her her nails against the side of the throne, taunting me.

"Funny, don't get too comfortable up there, you'll never be queen here." I spit, shuffling as I try to loosen the ropes which I assume have wolfsbane through them.

"You really know nothing about me do you." She grunts, standing up and grabbing my chin roughly.

"I've never wanted to be queen, and I never will." She spits, slapping along me cross the check as my mouth emits blood.

"Then why?" Why do all of this? What did I ever do to you!" I shout, trying to distract her while a small girl tries to sneak out of the room behind me, climbing out from a pile of red bodies.

The room is covered in blood with at least 50 lifeless bodies of my people lying around. Entire families have been slaughtered, and she doesn't even want the throne.

"Ah, but isn't that just a fun perk about coming back." She walks, ordering more rogues away when  someone begins to shout for help. She's sending them away to kill them...

"You don't remember anything from the last time you were here...." she squints her eyes, coming close to my face.

"You at least acknowledged that this was your fault the last time, clearly you believe yourself to be all innocent when your not,"She laughs. "My dear Cecilia, nature demands balance, that's something that even the Moon Goddess can control." She goes on, kicking me in the ribs through my corset.

"What does that have to do with me!" I shout, wincing as my ribs begin to bleed from the contact of her heel.

"We used to be friends," she swallows, still in her own little world of monologuing. " I trusted you!" She almost seems to cry, I repeatedly tell myself that I cannot feel sorry for her, she's a monster.

"What did I do!" I once again shout, leaning forward as I snap her out of her phase. She stops walking, and turns to me, her eyes filling with tears.

"You killed Apisi.." she almost whispers, raising her eyebrows,  "you killed my brother."

I stare at her, open mouthed and confused as I breath in and out. Who's Apisi?

"I told you both you would be caught and he paid the price because you took him away from us!" She screams, and I begin to catch on.

Cecilinda...Me, the chiefs son, he died because we were caught and his throat was slit by his father. He had a sister.....Catori....

I open my mouth as I realise her motions, she doesn't want the kingdom or power, she just wants vengeance for the loss of her loved one.

"You did this to me!" She shakes, grabbing a knife from the ground. "Nature demands balance." She repeats, her anger taking control of her.

I sit in silence and shake as she points the knife at my neck.

"Because when the moon goddess answered your prayer, she needed to create me in order to restore balance." Her hand shakes, " I became a monster because of you, I take lives because of you, I killed those that I loved because of you!" She screams as she gets closer.

"Because you give energy, I take it!" She shouts as she pushed the blade into my shoulder, deep enough to draw blood.

"And I don't care if you come back again." Her voice deepens."I'll gonna keep killing you."

Well....I guess the prologue finally makes sense!
