M83 - Oblivion ft Susanne Sundfør
"You cannot run from me." She laughs sinisterly into the darkness. "I am everywhere."She whispers in my ear, but when I turn around - she's gone. I am alone.
"I am oxygen itself. The thing that keeps your pathetic self alive, If I wanted you dead...you would be dead." She speaks as my oxygen cuts off. I begin choking.
I can't breathe. There's no air.
I grab both hands around my throat as I gasp for air.
Catori's loud cackle fills the dark void.
"Never underestimate me b*tch."

"Cece wake up, we're almost here." Someone shakes me awake lightly. I open my eyes and look up into a pair of Ocean blue ones, Hunter looks down at me and smiles lightly.
I lean up from his lap and look around from outside the car window. We are in the middle of nowhere - I don't know if that's a good thing, or a bad thing.
We are so deep into the forest that its not even a road we are on anymore, instead - it's just dirt that has been filled with snow. I begin to panic as my brain comes up with unusual scenarios of me dying.
My breathing increases as Alek appears out of the SUV in front of us and creeps over the snow - avoiding getting wet as much as possible before she chaps on the window.
Part of believes they are going to kill us. We're completely isolated - it would be so easy for them. Who's to say they're not working for Catori?
Alek flashes me a familiar smile as Hunter rolls down the window. Her small height means that we can barely see her and I cannot help but snicker as I try to hide my laughter in my sleeve as I raise my hand to my face.
Hunter then opens the car and allows her to come in beside us, she flashes a a big smile and releases a soft chuckle as she sits in with us.
She then turns to Hunter.
"You've never been into the Kingdom have you?" She asks, Hunter shakes his head. "So you don't know how this works or why we are here?" She raises an eyebrow at us.
"Yeah, nope. No idea about a lot of things honestly, I only turned for the first time and was introduced to this world about four months ago..."
"Four months?" Alek asked,"And you've been through everything in just four months? You deserve a damn break." She rolls her eyes and smiles at me. All thoughts of her brutally murdering me vanish, she's tiny. A good enough blow to the face would take her out.
"Hopefully when we enter you might get some peace," she stopped, "you've earned some damn peace." Alek speaks enthusiastically.
Realising that she was going off topic, Alek began to explain why she come over to our car.
"We are currently at one of the two gates to the Ferolc Kingdom, in a minute we will enter but I just wanted to give you a heads up as we enter."
I was puzzled.
"What do you mean we are at one of the two gates?" I asked, looking over at Hunter who seemed just as confused. "Aren't we in the middle of the woods? I don't see any people."
Alek laughed at then proceeded to explain further. "The kingdom is almost in a rip in time, just in front of us is a barrier which will take us behind the castle. This entrance is only used for anyone in the government or...your father." She swallowed hard.
"If you think of your guardian crossing over to the other realm, this is similar expect it's a completely plane of existence. Your mother and father would have been here a million times. "
I'd never really taken into consideration that I would finally get to meet him. My family. My blood.
"The other entrance is used for anyone entering and leaving the kingdom, I'm guessing the friends you mentioned will enter that way." She smiles as she begins to exit the car.
"You can't even imagine it until you are inside." She giggles, "the moon Goddess created this realm specially for us so we could be protected." She smirks as she shuts the door and prances over to the other car and enters it.
She looks so much like someone, but I cannot think of who.
The car then pulls forward and I watch as it completely disappears into some sort of void, almost as if it is a rip in space and time. I can't help but be interested.
The male driver that is completely dressed in black then changes the gear in the car and slowly creeps forward and I hold my breath as we slowly get closer to the entrance.
We then cross through.
We are no longer in the woods. Instead a place where words cannot even describe it. Just from entering it a gasp escapes my lips as I cling to the window like a young child to their mother. Bright colours are everywhere, from the sky that it a light shade of beautiful blue. Similar to one on a warm summers day.
I cannot help but notice that we are are on some kind of deep crimson red bridge, the other SUV in front of us. My eyes turn to the water below us and the entrancing colours that swirl.
Warm blues, purples and violets swirl around golden coloured fish that lay below. The sea crashes with small waves onto the purple rocks and fades back out into white foam.
My eyes then turn in front of me and I only now notice the biggest part of the picture.
The palace. It's indescribable.
Around it are flowers if every colour as we come to a large fountain of water. The flowers come in every colour imaginable, and the thought of it being winter completely slips my mind.
And this is only the back of the castle.
We come to a stop behind the other car as group of people exit the castle and make their way over to us. Opening the door and standing to the side. My heart beats wildly.
Hunter exits the car first and I close my eyes for a second as I calm my heartbeat. This is all happening too fast, I can't deal with all of this at once.
Too much is running through my mind at once and I begin to think about nothing as I try to clear my mind. I quickly sigh as I crawl over the leather seats and reach the door where Hunter is standing waiting on me, his hand extended.
With a fake smile, I gratefully take his hand and exit the car. A deep fit in my stomach forming.
Alek then makes her way over to us from the other car with a tall, attractive man. I can already see the resemblance between them.
He stops before he reaches me, and bows low before me. I try to suppress a scream at the fact that my childhood dreams are coming true, who doesn't want to be a princess?
He stands up straight again and I notice how tall he is compared to both Hunter and I, he's roughly the same height as Jay and if I'm doing this right, than he's also an alpha - just like Aidon, and just like Jay.
"Alpha Anaka of the Northern-Moon pack - reigning leader of the government, and at this moment in time - the entire werewolf kingdom." He winks at me as he introduces himself. As I understand what he means my stomach churns.
I'm going to be the leader, I'm going to be the queen.
"Uh, Cecelia Lake...or Cecilinda Darkfall. Whatever you like best I guess." I sputter out quickly in a panic. I mentally slap myself but stop as I feel as I feel Hunters comforting hand at the back of my waist.
Alpha Anaka smiles at me and gives me his response. "Cece...you can be called what you want here, but I need to inform you that you will be known to the kingdom as Cecilinda because that is who you truly are. And might I say the resemblance is uncanny."
Hunters hand tingles, and the urges to make him mate me are getting worse. The longer we wait, the harder it's getting - for both of us.
Alek then links an arm around mine and helps me up the stairs. Hunter watches with an amused smile at my face as I'm practically being dragged away from him.
At least he has some sort of control, I'm debating whether or not to rip her arm off and pounce Hunter. Second thought, I better not do that in front of the leader of the entire government. Alek is his daughter after all.
We enter into a large hall with huge windows and magnificent golden chandeliers, at the end of it is a large swirling golden staircase. But that's not the main part. Underneath it are two large thrones, both equal in size.
I look to Alek to explain. She smiles and begins her 'royal tour' of the room we are in. Going into details about how old it was and when it was built.
She explains that I've never actually been here, because I was murdered by Catori before I could even life my life. That the kingdom was created as a safe haven for all werewolves who needed to seek refuge after my death.
We continue walking slowly along the shiny golden floors and I can't resist but ask about my parents. Everywhere I look I can feel them, it's like I have some strange connection to this place even though I've never been here.
"Your parents weren't in the kingdom when they were attacked. They were staying in a human-built estate to deal certain problems that were happening in the human world. Your mother was still heavily pregnant at the time, and she gave birth while you were all still unprotected." She swallows.
"You were born in the human world, and that proves key to keeping your existence hidden."
"You we're making your way home with them when you were attacked no less than a mile from the border. Your mother's body was found by your father and was so mangled that it was unrecognisable." She sighs, apologising.
"It was this that drove him to the point of insanity, Catori stealing his soul didn't help. But what was left of it broke when he found your mother..."
I didn't know what to feel, I didn't know how to react. So instead, I ask more questions.
"Did they love each other?" I ask as we were nearing the thrones, my voice slightly shakier than intended. "I've heard a lot about royal families having arranged marriages, both in the werewolf world and human."
"They were mates, they were perfect for each other - which is very rare. Both your mother and father were of royal blood, which explains your abilities."
"They were also lucky because many of the royals don't get to be with their mate, they are paired with the most eligible person in control. For example, your grandfather was royal but your grandmother was the daughter of the alpha of the the northern-moon pack."
I immediately turned to look at her and she smiled lightly.
"No Cece, we're not related. Only by marriage I guess?" She laughs and I join in. A little it of light-hearted conversation is needed.
"Why are the thrones equal in size? Aren't the kings meant to have more power and authority over the Queens?" I ask as we begin to climb the polished stairs. I smiled down at my reflection that stares back - that's how clean the damn place is.
"Funny thing with the thrones actually," Alek chuckles as she pulls her long white hair over her shoulder. "In the werewolf kingdom, we believe that one shouldn't have authority over the other. That together two figures with equal power are stronger together than apart."
I sat and thought about it, it made sense actually. Why should one figure have more power when together they can be stronger? I smile as I imagine both of my parents sitting in their thrones, both looking beautiful.
We pass by them and continue walking through corridors for what feels like an hour.
"Alek?" I ask as we enter a large corridor which has a single door at the end. She leads me in and I'm immediately astounded. The room was defiantly 'fit for a queen' and was a rich red with a huge bed and a large window. A golden chandelier hung in the centre of the room as rich fireplace warms the room.
Alek then sits on the bed and smiles.
"What was it you wanted to ask me?" She smiles as she places a hand on mine.
"You want to know about your father don't you?
I give no reply. Instead I look at my feet where my bags have been brought it in. "Yeah Alek, where is he? Can I see him?" I look up at her again and feel sobs beginning to appear.
She lightly hugs me and stands up before me, placing her hand out before me.
"Cece, I want to formally introduce you to King Alton."
Lots of drama next chapter and a good few reveals to come up! As I speak there's roughly 15 chapters left to go until we finally reach the end *Screams*
