Chapter 49 Albert And Christopher At The Door The Parks Residence.
Samuel and the others returned home.
The servants immediately started cooking.
In less than 20 minutes, 12 dishes and two soups were served.
This was because they had already started preparing some steamed vegetables, braised food, and cold dishes when Gilderoy called them.
Samuel wanted to give Annalise a warm welcome.
However, Tony and the others had also returned. They too, had to eat as well.
Hence, everyone sat down and ate together.
Samuel did not want to be too biased. He only smiled kindly and said, âCome on, eat more. Weâre family. Donât stand on ceremony.â
Abigail had always thought that Samuel was the same as Tony and had a good impression of her. She said with a smile, âGrandpa, Iâll write a prescription for you later. I promise that Iâll definitely take good care of your body.â
She wanted to prescribe a basic prescription first. When the disciple of the medical expert, Master Quigley, returned to the country, she would prescribe a new prescription. Doing so would not make her work seem out of place.
âThereâs no need. Dr. Suller will treat me,â Samuel said.
Alexander didnât listen to his opinion and made up his mind to marry a slut like Abigail. He couldnât persuade his grandson at all, and going against Alexander would only make Alexander more stubborn.
He only hoped that Alexander would learn from his mistakes.
âDad, let Abigail try. After all, Dr. Sullerâs medical skills are limited. Look, he canât even treat you when you got attacked,â Tony said.
Samuelâs anger rose. âDonât you know what caused it in the first place? What, you even want to pin this kind of shit on Dr. Suller? Shut up and eat!â
Tony was being yelled at and he couldnât do anything abut it. He let it slide and figured that he would mention it in a few days when Samuelâs anger subsided.
As everyone was eating, there was a commotion outside. Immediately after, Albert and Christopher came over.
They only went for half a physical examination in the hospital. When they went to the ward to look for Samuel again, Samuel was already gone. They only found out that he was discharged after asking around. They suspected that he had been transferred to another hospital and immediately called the spies in the house. When they heard that Samuel had really returned home, they immediately rushed over to check on him.
The informant said that Samuel looked very energetic, but they still wanted to see it for themselves.
Hence, they rushed over anxiously.
Seeing that Samuel was eating happily, they looked at each other and took the initiative to ask to eat together.
âGet plates and utensils for Albert and Christopher, Samuel instructed the servant.
Coincidentally, he wanted to tell them about Julianâs marriage.
âSamuel, who are these two young ladies?â Albert pretended not to know anything and asked.
In fact, what happened to Julian and Alexander in Horington had already spread like wildfire in Jadeborough. Samuel introduced, âThis is Julianâs wife, Annalise Barton, from the Barton family in Horington. This is⦠Alexander, do the introductions!â
Alexander knew that Samuel did not want him to marry Abigail. He introduced, âAlbert, Christopher, this is my wife, Abigail, also from the Barton family of Horington. I married at the same time as Julian and the girls happened to be cousins from the same side of the family. It can be considered fate.â
He deliberately named Annalise and Abigail only as cousins.
Albert immediately followed suit. âCousins from the same side? Both of them were Bartons. Wouldnât they be sisters instead?â
Alexander smiled and said, âWell, my sister-in-law is Abigailâs cousin. Sheâs Abigailâs auntâs daughter.
Said aunt passed away early, so Annalise has been growing up in the Barton family.â
What he meant was very clear. Annalise had been living with the Barton family like an accessory, so she definitely couldnât actually be considered a Barton.
Julian glanced at Alexander and raised his eyebrows. It seemed to him that helping wife get Moonlight Group back was of high priority.
By then, what would matter would be who was more capable instead.
Albert continued to push. âThen Julianâs wife is just a girl living in the Barton family?â
Alexander stopped talking. He was not the one who said that after all.
Albert looked at Samuel. âSamuel, Julian is the heir you nurtured. Itâs not appropriate for him to marry a woman whoâs just staying in someone elseâs house, right?â
He was very happy. His eldest grandson, Timothy had married the daughter of the Xander family.
In the past, Julian was not married. They were afraid that Julian would marry the Blake familyâs famous cool beauty, Lianne.
After all, the Blake familyâs overall strength was ranked fourth in Jadeboroughth. Lianne was extremely favored in the Blake family. With the support of the Blake family, Julian would have gotten yet another formidable weapon.
However, now that Julian had married such an unhelpful woman, the threat was instantly reduced.
âHow is it inappropriate? What are the rules of our family to begin with? The Parks familyâs children and grandchildren are free to marry whoever they wish, but there are a few prerequisites. Firstly, they canât marry a married woman or a married man. Man or woman, our children, and grandchildren canât be mistresses and home wreckers, and they definitely canât marry a mistress or marry a home wrecker.
Secondly, they canât marry or marry a dishonest person. Itâs naturally best if theyâre compatible. Itâs also important to have the same values. As long as they have a good character, their background isnât important.â
âThen how does Samuel know that Julianâs wife has a good character?â Albert asked.
Samuel retorted, âWhen your Timothy got married, how did you know that Timothyâs wife had a good character?â
Albert was proud at the mention of Timothyâs wife. He raised his chin slightly and said, âTimothyâs wife has a good character. Sheâs famous in our Jadeborough.â
âYes,â Samuel replied. âJulianâs wife has a good character. Sheâs also famous in Horington.â
Albert did not know how to respond.
However, He did not want to argue any further anyway. In his heart, he could not wait for Julian to marry such a low-level woman. The reason why he said this just now was to test if they were for real or not.
Now that he saw that it was indeed the real deal. He took the opportunity to say, âSamuel, Julian has an extraordinary status and represents the Parks familyâs reputation. He canât be rash about marrying a wife. He canât bring a woman home for no reason.
âI think we have to hold the wedding as soon as possible. Itâs best to hold a banquet before the wedding. Let her attend the banquet as Julianâs fiancée. The Parks family, would then officially introduce their identities and let the girls get familiar with everyone. What do you think, Samuel?â
What he was thinking was that as long as he revealed that Annalise was Julianâs fiancée, the matter would be settled. If they felt that Annalise was not good, they would not be able to secretly just dismiss Annalise.
Divorces in wealthy families were extremely unpleasant.
*Julian, Alexander, what do you think?â Samuel asked.
When Alexander heard that there was a banquet, he thought that it was a good opportunity for Abigail to slap Annalise in the face. He smiled and said, âSamuel, I think Albert is right.â
Samuel glanced at Annalise and Julian. The more he looked at them, the more he felt that they were.
compatible. He said, âJulian has already registered his marriage. Itâs not appropriate for him to attend the banquet as his fiancée. However, we should officially introduce their identities. How about this?
Weâd do it next week, when we celebrate my 80th birthday.â
