Chapter 26 Just Extra Handsome “Are we driving this car to the charity gala later?” Julian asked.

“We are just going there for fun, so let’s just drive this,” said Annalise.

One could say that she was casual or that she was testing him out, but she did not feel like changing her car.

In the past, Benjamin felt that this car was too cheap. Hence, he insisted on driving luxury cars to pick her up when they had events to attend.

In the end, she lost out!

“Okay.” Julian smiled. Tll get the driver to drive us.”

“No need. I can drive,” Annalise said.

“Let me drive then,” Julian said.

Even though he did not know where she was and what she was doing, he knew that she drove there.

The journey must have been long and tiring.

“No need. Just get in!” Annalise said heartily.

Julian smiled as he opened the door to the passenger seat and sat down.

A few nights ago, he was drunk and passed his car keys to Annalise.

However, Annalise drove this car to send him back to the hotel.

She seemed to really like this car and had never felt that this car was embarrassing.

He really admired this about her..

This was because one would only pay so little attention to material goods when they were incredibly rich on the inside.

A woman that was rich inside would be comfortable in either heels or flats, luxury meals or street food, branded clothes or T-shirts.

Annalise was but 20. He wondered who had influenced her to be so wise.

He wanted to get to know her more and more.

With that, he asked with a smile, “What were you busy with yesterday?”

“I was rushing to do acupuncture.” Annalise did not hide anything.

After all, he had seen her doing acupuncture.

“Looks like you are very famous around here,” Julian said with a smile.

Julian’s smile grew wider. “Who would dare to let you stick a needle into them if you weren’t famous?

“Haha, this is probably because they find my face familiar since I have been hanging around in the village long enough.” Annalise smiled playfully.

She then asked, “Shall we pick out some clothes?”

“Okay,” Julian replied.

Annalise drove to the most well known shopping mall in Horington – Goldspring Mall.

She then led Julian straight to the 17th floor to pick out his formal outfit.

“Do you come here often?” Julian asked.

“Not in the past. After I began living in the city, I would come here with my girlfriends sometimes.” This was something that she could barely find the strength to complain about.

These socialites would use all kinds of excuses to organize parties. However, these parties were just for them to compete with each other and see who would attract the most attention from the rich young men. Julian smiled and nodded. “All right. You can help me choose, and I’ll help you choose too.”

Then, he reached out to hold Annalise’s hand.

Annalise could feel the clasp on her hand, and she suddenly shuddered. The warmth from Julian’s hand sent electric shocks through her whole body, and she could even feel her ears getting hot.

She then quietly pulled her hand back and attempted to look like she was casually pulling it away.

Julian noticed her intention and grasped her hand tighter. When she couldn’t see him, he smiled to himself with an affectionate look in his eyes.

Her hand was really soft, and he felt very comfortable holding it. He wanted to hold her hand forever.

Since she could not pull her hand away, Annalise stopped trying. She then brought Julian to choose his suit. Instantly, she had her eye on a black suit. She then asked Julian, “Do you like this?”

“Yup.” Julian nodded.

“Let’s give it a try!” Annalise asked the salesperson to bring it to them.

Julian then went to try it.

In a short while, he walked out of the fitting room.

Annalise was mesmerized for a moment.

She had chosen formal clothes for Benjamin before too. At that time, she thought that Benjamin was really handsome.

That was because she was very serious when she was in a relationship with Benjamin.

Love is always blind.

Now that she saw a different person standing in front of her in formal clothes, she felt as if her past were light-years away.

The person that had promised her forever was now the biggest scum ever.

“Why? Does it not look good?” Julian asked.

Annalise immediately collected her thoughts. She looked up with a bright smile and said, “No, it just looks too good.”

Julian smiled at this praise. “Really?”

Which woman in Jadeborough would not praise him?

Sometimes, when he was at events, there would be women screaming out loudly, “Julian, I love you!

He was already numb to all these.

However, praise from Annalise gave him a completely different feeling. He liked hearing those from her.

Julian smiled. “You make it sound like it is sticking on my body.”

Julian smiled even brighter now and said to the salesperson, “I’ll get this!” Annalise immediately headed to the counter to pay.

“I’ll pay for this!” Julian held Annalise back.

Who would allow a woman to pay?

“It’s a gift from me!” Annalise said.

“No need!”

“I’ve never given you a gift,” Annalise said.

She always remembered that he was the one who bought the wedding ring, and it was quite expensive.

When he heard Annalise, Julian suddenly let go of her hand. She said that she had never gotten him a gift and wanted to buy this for him.

Why did he suddenly feel so happy?

Julian led Annalise into the boutique.

Behind them, Abigail was there choosing her gown. When she saw Julian and Annalise walking in hand-in-hand, she rolled her eyes and snorted to herself. “Ho, wasn’t she head over heels for Benjamin? Before we know it, she has found her way into Julian’s bed! Shameless hussy!”

She rolled her eyes again disdainfully. Tonight, Alexander will propose to her before the start of the charity ball. She was determined to be in the limelight tonight.
