Chapter 465 You Never Showed Concern For Me
If Gwenn were to admit that she didnât know what Aaron liked, all her pretense would have been in
vain. Moreover, Beckham would think she was a hypocrite.
Gwenn clenched her teeth. âOf course, I know what Grandpa likes!â
âCherise, you may have gotten Grandpa a gift, but that doesnât give you the right to mock!â
âIâve given Grandpa so many more gifts over the years!â
Cherise smiled and asked, âIn that case, can you tell me what kind of gift you gave Grandpa?â
Gwenn clenched her teeth. âWhy should I tell you?â
âIâm just curious.â
Cherise smirked as she looked at Gwenn. âSis, Iâve only recently reunited with Dad and Grandpa.
Thatâs why I want to find out their preferences.â
âYouâve been living with them for nineteen years. You must know what they like.â
âI just want to learn more about them. Thereâs no need for you to hide it from me.â
âWhy donât you share what you know? After all, we are family. We should prepare gifts for Dad and
Grandpa together.â
Cheriseâs words made Gwenn grit her teeth. âCherise, donât you think this is too much?â
Beckham frowned slightly. âGwenn, how is this too much?â
âCherise means well and wants to understand your grandfatherâs and my preferences.â
âAs her older sister, you should guide her. How can you say sheâs causing you trouble?â
Gwenn was at a loss for words. âIâ¦â
âMs. Tanner, you donât know anything about your grandfatherâs preferences. Contrary to what you
claim, you didnât prepare gifts for Mr. Aaron.â
âIâ¦â
Gwenn gritted her teeth furiously. She had nothing to say in response to Cherise and Jacobâs insults.
âIt seems I was right.â
Jacob crossed his arms and glanced at Beckham with an amused smile. âMr. Tanner, it seems
someone needs to be taught manners.â
âEven people like me, from ordinary families, know to prepare gifts for elders on special occasions.â
He glanced at Gwenn. âYou should learn more from Cherise from now on!â
âCherise doesnât know much about our family, yet she brought a gift for Grandpa to thank us.
âWhat about you?â
Gwenn didnât expect Beckham to scold her.
She bit her lip, a hint of hatred flickering in her eyes.
Then, she sniffled and pitifully pursed her lips. âI understand.â
âIâll learn from Cherise from now on.â
âShe is outstanding. I should learn from herâ¦â
She forced a smile and held Cheriseâs hand. âCherise, please teach me from now on.â
âIâve been living alone all these years. Dad and Grandpa were always busy. There was no one to teach
me these things.â
âPlease guide me from now on.â
On the surface, she seemed to be asking Cherise to teach her.
However, her words implied that it was all Beckham and Aaronâs fault.
It was as if she was saying, âSee, my lack of etiquette is because you never cared about me! You two
are always busy. I donât remember you teaching me anything. How would I know?â
Beckham sighed softly and gently patted Gwennâs head. âItâs true that Iâve neglected you and failed to
teach you many life principles.â
