"Mommy wake up."
I heard as I felt Maliq's fingers poking my cheek. I opened my eyes and sat up as I realized it was just us two.
"Where's everyone else?"
I said looking at the clock on the wall that read eight thirty p.m.
"Sleeping."
He said as he yawned.
"Looks like somebody is sleepy."
"Yep, but I just couldn't go to sleep until I said goodnight to you."
"Awww, goodnight baby. Let's go get you to bed."
He grabbed my hand and then we made our way upstairs until I remembered something.
"Did you guys eat?"
"Yea, Uncle Devon got us some pizza. Yours is in the microwave."
"Ok. Thanks for telling me."
"No problem."
After he crawled into bed I tucked him in then kissed his forehead, telling him goodnight again.
After leaving out of his room I went and checked on everyone else and they were knocked out. I even went into the guest room and seen Devon and Devon Jr. laid out on the bed.
I made my way back downstairs and warmed up my pizza and then ate it.
I cleaned up the little mess I made and then went to the backyard and sat at the picnic table I had back there just thinking.
I heard the glass door sliding open and I looked back and seen Devon.
"Why you out here so late?"
"It's not late it's only like nine something."
"Nah its two in the morning."
He said walking over to the table sitting in front of me.
"How was your day?"
"Well it was quite simple since I slept all day."
"You finally took a day off?"
He asked looking at me skeptical.
"Well I lost my job because of your psycho ass brother."
"Wait how?"
"He went to my job acting an ass."
"Damn. I'm sorry to hear that, do you need anything?"
"No, and besides I'm going to look for a job later on today."
"That's good."
"Yea. How was your day?"
"It was actually interesting."
He said with a huge smile on his face.
"What happened?"
"Well I sat in Loni's class and the girl was quiet the whole time since Maloni told everyone I was her dad."
"Are you serious?"
I asked kinda embarrassed.
"Yea. But it all good because in reality in all their fathers since none are taking care of them."
"Thank you. And I really mean it."
"No need to thank me. I'm doing what a real man should."
I smiled at him and a tear slipped, and I quickly wiped it away.
"What you crying for?"
He asked getting up from sitting in front of me to sitting next to me as he hugged me.
"I'm just happy and sad at the same, since life is always throwing curve balls at me, but besides that your a real life saver."
I said into his chest as I was inhaling his cologne.
"Everythings going to be good. Besides, I ain't nothing special."
He said while loosening the hug a little.
"Your just an amazing person overall. Your taking care of your son, as well as being apart of my kids life when you don't have to. You mean a lot to me and I'm very happy I met you and your apart of my life, even though you were annoying as shit at first."
I said looking him in the eyes as I meant every word I spoke.
"Awww shit you gonna make a nigga turn soft and shit. But no lie I love everything you said, and I don't really wanna say it but I got more love for you than just being my sister."
"So what are you trying to say exactly?"
I asked as we still embraced one another in the hug, while looking at one another.
"What I'm saying is, you my woman and I'm your man now."
He said as he kissed my lips and I smiled in return.
"Alright, well let's go get some rest before it's time to get up and moving.

RING! RING! RING!
The alarming started going of at six o'clock and I turned it off and went back to sleep.
"Wake up."
Devon said as he shook me.
"What do you want?"
"Your late on getting up-"
"Damn it."
"Im getting them dressed all you gotta do is make them something to eat."
"Ok thanks."
I tiredly got up to go and brush my teeth and wash my face before going to check on the kids.
After checking up on them, I headed downstairs to start making them all a bowls of cereal.
"Thank God it's Friday."
I said while I was getting the bowls and spoons ready ready for the kids.
"Mom."
"Yes babe?"
I said while grabbing the milk out of the refrigerator. Once I closed the door I realized the twins were standing there.
"Which one of you said that?"
I asked as I looked between the two, as they stood there looking at me.
"I did."
They both said in unison.
"You guys are talking now?"
"Yes."
They both said at the same time again.
"What made you guys want to talk?"
They shrugged there shoulders, as they went to the table since everyone else was going into the dining room.
"Good morning everyone."
"Good morning."
They said in unison as they waited for me to bring them their food.
Devon and I grabbed the bowls of cereal and placed them in front of the kids, and then poured the milk in.
Once I finished that I put the milk in the refrigerator, and then I grabbed me an apple from the fruit basket.
As I ate the apple I watched the kids finish up there breakfast and get ready so they could get ready to leave.
"What are you doing today?"
"Do house chores, go job searching, and I might do a little shopping."
"Sounds good."
He said while looking at me smiling.
"Yepppp."
I said popping the p.
"How about we go on a date tonight?"
"Who's going to watch the kids?"
"Cookie won't mind."
"Alright then, I guess we have ourselves a date. Do you want me to drop Devon off at school to?"
"Yeah that'll work."
He said glancing at the clock.
"Well it's time for me to head on home to get ready for work, and for you to get the kids to school."
"Ok."
I said glancing at the clock as well seeing it said seven forty five, and the kids had to be at school at eight o'clock.

It's eight o'clock and I'm just now getting ready for my date with Devon. I continued to look in the mirror and the more I did the more I wondered what does Devon see in me.
"Who would possibly still want a woman thats been through a lot and in the end ended up with six kids?"
"I would, your as beautiful as any other woman. Nothing about you I find unattractive, I love you with your flaws and all."
Devon said as he came into my room from the guest room where he was getting dressed.
"Thank you."
"No problem babe. Now let's get on to this dinner."
He said grabbing my hand leading me out my room turning off the light. Once we left out the house and I locked up, we got settled into his car before he pulled off to our destination.
"So what do you want to eat?"
"Doesn't matter to me, I really don't have a taste for anything."
"Ohhhhh ok."
He said as he continued to drive down the highway, causing me to turn the radio up to hear blues music playing.
Eventually we arrived at Red lobster and the waiter seated us at a booth next to the window.
"Rain?"
"Yes."
"Tell me about yourself."
"You already know about me."
"No I don't we on a date, so we gonna do things they do on dates."
"Ok. Well me name is Rain Diana Alexander, and I'm twenty nine years old."
"Ok ok."
He said nodding his head before speaking again.
"My name is Devon Deshawn Moore, I'm thirty one years old."
"Mhhm."
I responded back as I sipped from my glass of strawberry lemonade.
"You have any kids?"
"I have six, but in total I take care of eight."
"Wow."
He said seeming interested as if he didn't know these things already.
"Do you have any kids?"
"Yes actually I have one son."
He said smiling as he began drinking from his cup.
"Do you plan on having anymore?"
"Hopefully. I kinda planned on having a lot of children since I knew from experience that being the only kid isn't all that fun."
"Interesting."
He said while looking at me with a grin on his face.
For the rest of the night we talked, drunk, and ate. Then when we made it back to my house we continued the fun.
