Today is Saturday and I woke up to Terrell poking my eye lids. I opened my eyes and he stopped poking me.
"What do you want?"
"E-e."
"Ok. Give me a couple minutes."
I turned the t.v. on for him, and made my way into the bathroom to handle my business. Once I finished I walked back into my room and Terrell was gone.
I turned my t.v. off and made my way downstairs to the kitchen, to see a shirtless Shamar over the stove. Terrell sat in this high chair watching something on his tablet.
"Morning."
"Morning. How'd you sleep?"
"Good until somebody woke me up."
He started laughing.
"What he do this time?"
"He was poking my eye lids."
Shamar continued to laugh, but I didn't find it funny.
"How does he even get on my bed?"
"I uhh give him a little boost."
"Really?"
"Yep, what's a better way to wake up?"
"Feeling your lips kissing me."
I said under my breath as I walked over to the refrigerator to get some cranberry juice.
"If that's what the queen wants that's what the queen gets."
He turned the stove off and started fixing our plates.
"What are you talking about?"
"You know what I'm talking about."
"No I don't."
"Alright. I hear everything."
I was smiling on the inside, as he handed me my plate and gave Terrell his.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome."
We sat at the table eating peacefully until Terrell started throwing food. He threw a potato at Shamar and it hit him on the side of his head.
"Terrell, why'd you do that?"
He looked at me and started laughing, then he started throwing more at him and I couldn't help but laugh.
"That's enough badass."
Shamar said with a mad looking expression on his face, which made Terrell stop and continued to eat his food.
Since I finished first I started cleaning up the mess that was made. First I started by picking up the potatoes, and then I started washing the dishes.
"What do you have planned for today?"
"Nothing but to study, how about you?"
"I got some errands to run, and I wanted you guys to come with me."
"Alright. After I'm done cleaning the kitchen I'll start getting ready."
"I got this go start getting you and him ready."
"You sure?"
"Yup now go."
"Alright."
I finished washing the last dish before I dried my hands and got Terrell.
A hour later we were both ready to go, so I made my way downstairs to find a fully dressed Shamar on the couch.
As I got closer I realized he was sleep because I heard light snores, so I put Terrell on the couch and had him do what he did to me. I stood back and watched and silently laughed.
"Mannn, why you doing that?"
He opened one of his eyes and blocked Terrell's fingers.
"Now you see how it feels, now come on before you go back to sleep old man."
"I ain't old."
"Yea ok."
They got off the couch and we all started walking to the door, he locked the house up as I made my way to his car and buckled Terrell in before getting in the front seat putting my seatbelt on.
"So the first stop is going to be the mall."
"Ok."
Twenty minutes later we pulled up to the mall and he found a parking spot, then we got out and made our way inside. As soon as we got in there we went to the nail salon.
"Go in there and get your nails done, and before you get ready to leave call me."
He took his wallet out and tried handing me a hundred dollars.
"Ok, thank you but no thanks."
"Why not?"
"I have my own money, I got this"
"Whatever. Come on T. Let's go shoe shopping."
He picked Terrell up and they started walking away as I went into the nail shop. A hour later I was done I got my nails and toes painted pink.
As I was sitting under the dryer as it stopped so I pulled my phone out my purse, and called Shamar. On the third ring he answer.
"Hey."
"Hey, you done yet?"
"Yea."
"Alright, were coming towards that way now."
"Ok."
He hung up the phone and I put my sandals on, when I was done I looked up and noticed they were standing at the door.
"Where you wanna go now."
"I don't need anything else."
"Did I ask you that?"
"No but I'm telling you, I don't need anything else."
He grabbed my hand and we walked across the mall into Victoria's Secret. Once we got into the store he found a seat, and sat the bags by his feet, and gave Terrell his phone to watch whatever as he watched me.
"Go."
"I don't need anything."
"If you don't get anything I will."
"Well get to shopping because I'm not getting anything."
"Ight."
"Wait you don't know my size."
"You don't know, what I know."
He got up and walked away to the bra and panties section.
"This should be interesting."
I sat next to Terrell and went on my phone going through different apps since I didn't feel like texting anyone.
Twenty minutes later he was done, instead of him saying anything to me he just walked to the checkout line. So I picked Terrell up and made my way towards him.
By the time I got to the register he was getting the receipt from the lady.
"What did you get?"
"You'll figure it out when we get home."
"Ok. Thanks."
"No problem."
We walked out of the store and started making our way to the exit until someone called my name. I slowly turned around with Terrell in my arms, and seen that it was Derrick.
"Hey I never got your call."
"That's because her phone only meant to call me."
Shamar grabbed me by my waist and looked at Derrick.
"My bad. I didn't know it was like that."
"You good, but now you know."
"Ight see y'all around."
He walked away and we continued to leave out.
"So what you wanna eat?"
"Nothing, I'm not really hungry."
"Ok."
"I got a question."
"I got a answer."
"What are we?"
"You really wanna know?"
"Yep."
"Your mine, and I'm yours."
"When did this happen?"
"Now."
I started laughing, until I seen he was not laughing. That's when I knew I fucked up big time.
"I'm sorry. I thought you were playing."
He ignored me as we got in the car, and he pulled up to the McDonald's drive through, and order him and Terrell something. He then pulled up to the window to pay for it then got the food.
He handed me a Caramel sundae. Then he handed Terrell his happy meal.
"Thank you. And once again I'm sorry for earlier."
"You good, but I wasn't playing with you I'm serious."
"Ok."
I smiled super hard, and leaned over in my seat and gave him a passionate kiss, until someone honked their horn.
"I forgot we was even here still."
He laughed while kissing me one last time and then pulled away from the drive through window.
"So Halloween is next week, what are you and Terrell going to be?"
"Nothing for me, and I'll let him pick what he wants out."
"Oh ok. Why you not going to be anything?"
"I'm too old and not in the holiday spirit because my family isn't complete anymore."
"So what you tryna say? We not a family?"
"I-"
"I know what you mean I'm just messing with you."
I gave him a small smile while tears began to form at the bottom of my eyes, but I tried blinking them away, but they fell out anyways.
"Are you ok?"
"Yea. I just had a moment."
I gave him a weak smile and continued to eat my ice cream, reminiscing about how things used to be.
